Hi everyone,
we would like to have some one else on the DriverPacks Team. Currently the only active member of this team is muiz, who's been working on updating DriverPack Graphics A, B and C, LAN, Sound A and B and WLAN. Pretty much every one that is!
But if some one else could join him and help him actively, then it'd be so much less work for the both of you.
For the credit-addicts amongst you: of course you would get credit! So make your momma proud and join the DriverPacks Team!!!
Just mail to admin@driverpacks.net and we'll get you in!
Wim
Vista is not yet supported by the DriverPacks!
T-Online isn't blocked. You're all in the 84.* range, which isn't blocked. Some subranges are blocked, but not yours (yours are: 84.131.*, 84.132.* and 84.177.*).
Helmi, if you want you can see the .htaccess file and see for yourself that it *should* work just fine. I'll talk with RogueSpear to try and find the cause.
This is a ridiculous question, but could it be possible that T-Online is blocking HTTP referers? That's the only thing I can think of personally.
DmitryOlenin, if you'd like to join the Testing Team, just let me know
Please post your DPsFnshr.log!

edenkers wrote:I have this issue also. HP Notebook model nc6120. Intel Chipset and SoundMax Audio which is being detected as Realtek '97 codec. When I download and install driver for this audio component from HP web site, no more BSOD with portcls.sys file. This is no big deal, but why have driverpacks if I still need to get OEM specific drivers?
The DriverPacks include as many OEM drivers as possible. The thing is that this is a never-ending issue, because there is NO SUCH THING as a "universal SoundMAX audio driver". For each (set) of devices another driver is needed. And when one of these drivers is missing, then you'll get this BSOD. The only solution is to keep on adding more of these SoundMAX driver whenever you come accross one that is'nt included yet.
Blame SoundMAX for their bad driver design...
EDIT: FYI: I've been adding these SoundMAX drivers for at least 1.5 years now and as you can see even now it's not yet complete! As a matter of fact, new ones keep coming as well!
gugutz wrote:Sorry for this really noob question, but i finally got my DVD recorder and now i can integrate the driver packs into my XP cd like i always intented to do.
I opened Driver Pack Base, choose method 2, clicked in Integrate. After a few seconds, the DP Base created a OEM folder (without the $ $ around it, just OEM) inside my setup source, and modified winnt.sif and other files that i don´t remember now. My question is:
Isn´t there a method where the Driver Packs would actually integrate into the DRIVERS.CAB file in the root of the XP Cd, so that at setup part the CD would have a gigantic database of drivers?
No that method is not yet implemented...
Hi everybody,
my exams will start on December 7, and the next week we have several big assignments. So I won't be around the next 3 weeks! Or very, very little. I'm having a hard time already to focus on this dull, boring, uninteresting math which is very difficult too. No exercices, all proofs... Exercices ARE proofs!
I sure hope more people will start contributing to this project in the mean time!
Have a good time and see you on Friday, the 15th of December when I'll have (that's what I hope at least) passed my Math exam!
Wim Leers aka Bâshrat the Sneaky
The only way to be 100% sure of fast updates is to contribute yourself I have exams starting next week and OMFG math is a PITA! I'll be very very glad if I'll be able to get a 9/20...

thank u
Your range was blocked, unblocked now.
@ the others: your IPs are NOT blocked.
It's only since recently that you can no longer use download managers. There are hundreds of downloads every day, and just a couple of complaints, so in overall, there are very few with problems. I'll see if I can find some way to test if your referers really aren't disabled.
jtdoom wrote:hi
which browser do you use?
I still use IE6, fully updated.
Privacy settings in internet explorer options could also cause this, cookie handling (indirect cookies) privacy setting can be too high.
I'll put it to high, and see wether that causes it for me.
nope, download started on highest.
did not set anything in advanced, where you can manually set behaviour to override automatism.
can do that too... brb
The only things that are demanded are:
-referers not blocked
-don't use any download manager
-your IP is not on the blacklist, but you can only get there if you're working around any of the 2 above...

Congratulation to you Bâshrat the Sneaky.
Not just to me

You don't have permission to access /DriverPacks/DP_Graphics_A_wnt5_x86-32_611.7z on this server.
Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.
No idea why, it's the first time it happens for me.
Are there any last-minute changes compared to the last testing version of the DriverPack Graphics A?
I'm asking because I was just about to slipstream the DriverPacks when the UpdateChecker didn't complain about the pack not being official
If not, then I won't bother DL'ing this one.
However, I fear this will also affect others...
The last nightly available is identical to this final indeed. But make sure you downloaded it after muiz' last update (check the nightly topic for that).
But I wonder why this happens... Are you sure you aren't using any referer-blocking software?
Today is a happy day, because this is the first time an official DriverPack was not updated by me! It also is the first release after going open source. Big kudos to muiz for updating DriverPack Graphics A!
In the release topic and the full changelog this changelog can be found:

Did you use nLite AFTER the DriverPacks? Because these entries ARE added to the dosnet.inf file, if not, you would have gotten a much larger amount of hits when you searched for it
Geistforce and razor82, neither of you is blacklisted. So I'm pretty sure you're using some download manager, or perhaps some piece of internet security software is blocking your referers. It must be one of either.
Well, it still remains to be seen how that will evolve. XP also supported LOTS of devices, but in the mean time, a huge number of new hardware brands/manufacturers have been founded. And there are also always evolutions one can not predict, or at least that we as end-users can not predict. Who would have thought 5 years ago that High Definition Audio would have been a standard feature on virtually every motherboard? OK, perhaps some of you were aware of that, but I certainly not was (I only have internet since 3 years and my first own computer since 5 years, so I was a n00bie back then).
Anyways, my point is, that it remains to be seen if Microsoft will be keeping up with new AND updated drivers. And aside from that, Windows XP will still be alive very much the next years. Windows 2000 is still actively used by many companies, so this project will not be truly obsolete very soon.
DriverPack Graphics A 6.11 is currently in nightly state and one tiny problem has been found, so probably the final will be online tonight!
Very interesting approach, I must say. Too bad it involves recompressing the DriverPacks, which makes it (at least at first sight) an undesirable approach to me.
I will keep you guys here updated on the progress made with "my" improved presetup. If someone of you would like to be member of the Code Team, just let me know
ViVa wrote:It does work here, so it's something on your end.
Make sure your referrer doesn't get changed by download managers, firewalls etc.
Yep.... but in that case you should be redirected to http://driverpacks.net/leechwarning.php. Perhaps these users pressed esc when they were being redirected? I don't know.
