DriverPacks BASE doesn't remove any components.  If you have a problem like that is is 99% caused by nlite.
You're on the right track though.  Start from the last source that worked OK with zero DriverPacks integrated.  Don't use DriverPacks BASE to remove/update DriverPacks.  Start from a clean source.

Hi Dave.
Welcome to DriverPacks.net.
Sorry, but OverFlow is correct in a way.  We really can't help without at least the HWIDs of the system in question.  We're working on a web database that will let users look up their hardware and tell them what DriverPacks will support them.  But that's a ways off yet.
I'm pretty sure that HWID is supported, I'll have a look.
*Edit
Yup, it's supported in DriverPack LAN \d\l\i1\e100b325.inf (signed too).
If you take a look in the %systemroot%\setupapi.log you'll find the driver installation step by step and the clue to why it failed may be in there.  Just open it in notepad and do a search for your HWID. (VEN_8086&DEV_1050)

Bigfoot's right.
But you can also use Siginet's DriverGrabber to extract drivers from a running system.
Just install the bootcamp updates/drivers, then reboot into XP and run the utility.  It'll grab all the drivers from the running system and place them neatly in a folder for you to zip up for use later.

Either way will get you the desired results.

Nvidia released 197.13 WHQL today! smile
I'm busy on an update right now.

It's now in the 10.04 build on my desktop.

It was probably never requested.
It'll probably end up in the next release.  Thanks for letting us know.

Thanks for pointing that out.  It'll be in the next release. smile

Do NOT use nlite for drivers.

I'll need to see your HWID list and your setupapi.log please.

Simply create a new post in the correct sub-forum (XP or Vista/Win7) Third Party DriverPacks.
IE.  http://forum.driverpacks.net/viewforum.php?id=13
With title: [REQ] TV card drivers...
link to known good drivers from the vendor's website. (no external driver website links please, like station-drivers, or rapidshare, etc.)
And most of all...be nice! wink

Welcome to DriverPacks.net!
Enjoy your stay.

@Ra, If you could extract all the ones you want, then compress the folders and upload somewhere you'd be doing me (and yourself) a huge favor.  I'm just really too busy to mess around with stupid installers. big_smile

Also do the ZTE drivers in JoinMe belong in DP Modem or DP Phone as they are to use the phone as a modem

Well, YOU requested them in this thread.  How the h*ll should I know!? wink

@Ra, if you could repackage them and upload the compressed folders somewhere, that would be really helpful.
@Everybody, It's really no big deal leaving them in.  I mean the whole Third Party DriverPack is only 23MB compressed.  Hardly porky. wink
It just seemed overkill to have them since we're trying to solve our excessive filepath problem.

Geez guys, you're making me blush! big_smile
Seriously though, the correct drivers are on the Apple site.  Just download the package ON THE MAC and open it there.  Apple uses .dmg files for their disc images right?  Just open it up, extract the drivers then copy them to a USB stick.  Transfer to your image and you should be good to go.  Otherwise, you can script the installer to execute during ROE.  If I get around to it, I'll see if I can extract the drivers myself.  But I'm tied up with other things at the moment, so don't wait on me.

Welcome to DriverPacks.net! smile
Well first off, you don't need DriverPacks to install XP on a Mac using bootcamp.  You need the bootcamp XP drivers directly from Apple (http://support.apple.com/kb/DL830) which are not included in DriverPacks.
While you may find somewhat compatible drivers, getting them direct from the (Apple) source is the best option.

You can find more bootcamp support here: http://www.apple.com/support/bootcamp/

What makes this especially frustrating is that we genuinely wanted to help.  But the original poster was unable or unwilling to answer our questions truthfully.

1. My car won't start.
2. Did it run before?

1. Yes, but now it doesn't.
2. OK, does it have gas in it?

1. My car is red.
2. That's nice.  Is the battery charged?

1. My car smelled nice when it was new, now it smells funny.  I think it's somehow your fault.
2. OK, but we need to know if you have all the things an engine needs to run.  Fuel, spark, air.

1. How can I tell what engine I have?  I put diesel in it.
2. Is it a diesel engine?

1. Did I mention my car was red?  Does that make a difference?  Why can't you just tell me why it won't start?
2. Sigh....

Let this be a lesson for others.  We cannot help you if you cannot/won't answer our questions in detail.

I'm going through this Third Party DriverPack and I'm wondering to myself: Why are we including external USB webcams in this pack?  I would have thought that only the internal ones were needed since the external USB webcams typically need all the craplets installed too.  I know my Logitech Fusion always fails to install around T-34 which is why I'm considering striping the Logitech folders out.
Any thoughts?

@Ra, I'm going to need you to install/extract those Lenovo installers.  They're encrypted.

No need to double post.  I deleted your duplicate post for you.
Please read the first post for instructions.
