Also do the ZTE drivers in JoinMe belong in DP Modem or DP Phone as they are to use the phone as a modem

Well, YOU requested them in this thread. How the h*ll should I know!?
Tough question.
Does the phone need seperate drivers to be reckognized by the system and therefore for the modem drivers to even work?
If so, the case is clear, phone drivers to phone and the phone-as-a-modem drivers to modem.
If it's both in one package, you may want to toss a dime or something
Doesn't really matter, I'd say, as long as you don't duplicate them.
I found an error in your latest pack when installing modem card.

In the device manager manually pointing the path to the drivers,
files are copied, restart request .... the same mistake again
I am beginning to suspect hardware failure

Well, those Motorola SM56 drivers caused me problems before, that's why the .inf has a HWID commented out to prevent using those drivers on my system.
I'll take a look. But if no drivers work (even the OEM manufacturer ones), then hardware failure is possible.
An updated driver is found here: ftp://ftp.acer-euro.com/desktop/AP-M36/ … o-Nets.zip
Please try this one and report back.
There are still the same error
...in the device manager manually pointing the path to the drivers,

Sounds like bad hardware to me.

You got it right. Go ahead and add it then make the version number 10051b1.
You know, instead of keeping those personal mods to yourself, you could pass them upstream to us.
Good job!
Sorry about that... I'm only now getting more comfortable with my work on the packs and that was one of those issues that kicked my butt for awhile... either way I will smack myself right after I have some coffee
