I discovered it's a card that isn't supported by nVidia for Vista or 7 (Quadro NVS 280).  The driver that I ended up using was found on Microsoft Update on the link below.

Wow, I totally missed this post.  Sorry, this did not make it into 11.04.  DriverPack Graphics B is getting massive.  I'll try squeezing the M$ .inf into the Nvidia folder...it SHOULD work.
Link is dead BTW.
Do you have a HWID for this card? A possible match is PCI\VEN_10DE&DEV_0165  for a NVS 285

I'm updating this pack now.
Remember, with ATI drivers, DISM will show an error for the Vista driver being integrated in Win7, and vice-versa.

So who had any good ones this year?
I had a bottle of "Wild Turkey" on my desk (half filled with cola) and was staggering around the office before lunch.  Classic.

Yes, interesting reads.  But don't really address the problem.
It would be all too easy for us to just say "We won't support nvidia drivers until they stop distributing crap" but that wouldn't be fair for our end-users.
I'm starting to get grey hairs at my temples.  I fully blame nvidia for that! wink

The Ralink drivers are an absolute pain in the A$$ to disassemble.  I usually leave those until the last possible moment because of that.
The only reliable way I've found to extract the drivers is to install them in VM ON THE TARGET OS.  Meaning you want XP drivers, install them in XP.  Same package contains Vista & Win7 specific drivers, but you have to install that package in both Vista AND Win7 just to get at them.
They're hidden in the system32\driverstore folders.

Implementing 16.1 CD drivers...

Soooooooo...does it work?

Helloooooo.  A little feedback please?

Are you talking about DriverPack Graphics A & B?  They were next on my list.
Just upload them to mediafire or another file hosting site and I'll grab them.

The script just hands off to dpinst.  The separated command window is minimized to the task bar.  If you open it, it's constantly updated with feedback output.
Adding a progress bar for this utility is beyond my ability in batch script.

Good job!  Thanks.
I'll verify these and upload to the main server.

Thanks for reporting.  That pack is nearly a year old.  I'm updating the Win7 packs more often now.  This is next on my list.
I'll keep that error in mind as I update the drivers.
Remember, in Win7, once drivers are added to the driverstore, they're permanent (unless removed manually).  Win7 drivers don't get updated by dism unless the filenames are the same.
Always start with a clean Win7 source prior to integrating any drivers.
