Known issues
-Documentation later! Just use it as-is now. It's all pretty self-explanatory...
-ONLY THE GUI IS TRANSLATED. The strings in the slipstreamer are to be followed, the code is already there!
-multibootDisc support is UNTESTED. Please test so I can make the necessary improvements and bugfixes.
-You NEED DriverPack MassStorage 6.08, if you want to use DriverPack MassStorage. Older versions are NOT compatible.
-Beta Testers: download DriverPack MassStorage again, it has been updated.
-nForce 3 LAN not yet working, DriverPack LAN update on the way...
-When you've got a certain Windows XP version (not isolated to a specific one yet), then the original svcpack.inf file is encoded in UCS-2 Little Endian. Whenever you use DriverPack Sound A, KB888111 and KB913425 will be slipstreamed and then svcpack.inf will have to be updated. But Windows fails to convert the original encoding to ANSI, and the result is a CORRUPT svcpack.inf! I'm try to find a decent conversion method.

Remarks
-Documentation later! Just use it as-is now. It's all pretty self-explanatory...
-The included Italian and Turkish translations are not compatible, they will result in a crash!

Before posting any other 'endless misery'-replies, read this topic.

Topic closed.

This new installation platform needs to be tested thoroughly. I'm confident it only needs internally minor tweaking, but for you, the user, it can still cause a very painful headache. So please be ware. If you use this installation platform, be prepared to face some misery first.

If you want to join the beta testing for this particular platform, let me know by replying to this topic!

Check the announcement at the top:

The DriverPacks Finisher is BROKEN in both DriverPacks BASE 6.08 and 6.08.1! Please wait for an update before installing your system!

Have corrected and polished dziubek's translation. File available on bugtracker look for issue #175.

Weren't you going to do the Finnish translation? So you speak Polish too? tongue Nice!

And please change the status to 'resolved' next time, if you don't do that, it will not be included in the changelog... wink

I've now set 'disc' to be selected by default. That was an error indeed.

I think I know what settings got you that non-updated txtsetup.sif and dosnet.inf... You deselected DriverPack MassStorage text mode. That's the only way it could have been caused. Or you must have cancelled the slipstream JUST at the moment where it would start updating those files. I think you'll never be able to reproduce it wink

To clarify it, I've added another note to the guidelines. Check the bottom of the post and it'll be clear to you wink

Sorry I didn't make it for 6.08, but seeing as it's broken anyway...

Get the goods!

Please change the status to 'resolved' if you don't do that, it will not be included in the changelog... wink

I was able to reproduce it and therefore submitted it to the bugtracker: When 3rd party DriverPacks selected for slipstream, it will also be enabled for KTD (if KTD is set to "select") although not selected.

Please post your DPs_BASE.log and DPs_BASE.ini.

The one on your installation disc, of course.

You don't have to look in any of those folders. When you have the 0x7B BSOD, it will never get that far. But I honestly do not understand why you get that BSOD... The only thing you can do is replacing the driver in the I386 folder (si3112r.sys) by an older one and retry, as you suggested.

Well, you must set it to 'disc' when you are creating the settings files. I'll clarify that in the GUI, it's indeed quite obscure the way it is now.

The internal size has increased from 254MB to 300MB... I can't do anything about it wink

And it's 51.50 MB, not 55.1, if those 4 megs can make you happy tongue

That is OF COURSE possible smile Good luck with the testing.

P.S.: I double-checked and your HWID is supported, so that's not the problem.

1. The hotfix IS installed, check your HWIDs wink The driver may not have been installed, but I've updated DriverPack Sound A last night so probably that will result in a properly working HDA device.

2, 3, 4: All related to issue #165.

Working on the final fix...

Could also be the spaces in "Ducuments and Settings" I guess.

Dunno if AutoIt has problems with that, but I have encountered a lot of programs that "choke" on this, unless you put the whole path in quotation marks.

Spaces don't matter.

Everything seems to go right there... so that leaves me with only one choice: I need the HWID of your SiI 3112r controller, but the problem is that your installation doesn't start... If you have a spare PATA HDD, I'd suggest that you install Windows on that one, then get the HWID and then report it back. A lot of work, but I don't have a crystal ball either.

It's done wink

And... "Please describe your exact problem, so I can add an exception for it! wink" ... wink

Please remove the '=' character from your path and retry.

Actually that was NOT too quick. The modifications are very  minimal. Updating txtsetup.sif and dosnet.inf for text mode mass storage drivers does however take sometime.

txsetup.sif and dosnet.inf not being altered.... is virtually impossible. An error would have been triggered! Can you reproduce this?

Very strange. Do you have the same problem when you use DriverPack Sound B 6.08.1?
