During the DPSFnshr, a window pops up which requires attention.

DPSFinisher is unable to complete until OK has been clicked.
On logon, an error message appears.
The error title is: CLI.EXE
The message is: The application failed to initialize properly (0X0000135). Click OK to terminate.

I take it you did not slipstream the .NEt framework?
This is obligatory for using the CCC, of which CLI.EXE is part.
Either switch to the Cp or slipstream the FW!

Would you please delete XYZ its full of corrupted files !!!!!

Feel free to delete such files yourself once you've verified the uploaded file is indeed curropted and not your DL.

And besides that it didnt even work.
PLEASE test things before you upload !

You can believe me, this is the least I would do before uploading any file/publishing links!
I am not a newb at this or anything wink
That said, it did work for me...

Anyway, I only uploaded that as a sort of backup measure.
The file is more than obsolete by now, I agree.

I'd take it down if I could...

The donation for the motherboard is not needed anymore.

Right.
I edited the thread title to reflect the changed situation smile

Bâshrat the Sneaky wrote:

Unfortunately I have yet to find such an option... Alternatively, you could donate directly to me and I could lower the goal.

Alright then, that worked out perfectly last time smile

It was only when I donated to nLite (where also $ is set instead of €) that I encountered this "problem".

I will use the link in my sig to get the money over then wink

Bâshrat the Sneaky wrote:

And I know from experience that PayPal keeps a fee of just a couple of percents max for doing a currency conversion. Can't you use PayPal for doing the conversion somehow?

I'm not worried about the PayPal fee, there's nothing I can do anbout it.

The thing is, when paying with my CC, if I pay in another currency than €, I will be charged extra fees (some 15% of the total amount).

The mask presented on the site does not let me change the currency from $ to €, that's why I'm asking whether there is a way to setup the whole thing so that donors can chose their currency of choice.

Splendid idea!

Just one question, is it possible to pay in Euros somehow?
If I'm doing a USD transaction off my CC, I'll be charged some 15% exchange fees, money that I'd rather donate to the project smile

What card readers are you using. I use flash drives alot and maybe I should get a better unit.

Because all these four computers use Lian Li cases, I equipped them with fitting Lian Li Card Readers:
http://www.lian-li.com/Product/Accessor … Reader.htm

So far, the somewhat higher price (~30€/$) has paid off, at least I didn't have any troubles with them wink

This could be due to the MB, though, I can't say for sure (just pointing out so you don't buy an expensive CR for nothing when it's your board causing the trouble)

BigBrit wrote:

I have had problems in the past with Card Readers, Windows installing on drive H:, looking at the wrong drive for files during Installs.
USB stuff is quirky in DOS mode installs etc.

Best way, unplug Card Readers etc. when doing an Install and then connect it when the install is done.

I noticed something similar with an external USB HDD (not that much a problem disconnecting it, though).
Basically, disabling (or enabling? If I could only remember) USB Legacy support in the BIOS fixed it.

This is less a USB problem but more of how well your MB manufacturer implemented USB support in the BIOS I believe.
It's too bad most of them are still not 100% compatible, just as it is with ACPI (the S3 sleep state works only properly on a handful of MBs...)

p.s. I agree with Helmi, some higher end Card Readers work just fine.

That could very well be the cae because all three card readers I have tested this on are actually pretty high-end (at least judging by the price and design wink)

Bâshrat the Sneaky wrote:

This issue is NOT related to your cardreader, I think, but rather due to an incorrect low-level system setting (which may be related to your card reader), though I haven't seen anything like this before, so I won't be able to help you. Sorry.

True, I have an internal USB card reader myself, as well as in two other PCs I administrate and none of them has shown such an issue, neither inconjunction with BASE nor otherwise.

Enough with the German now.
Either post in English or PM/mail one of the German members if you have a specific question and cannot for God's sake write it in English.
This is an international forum and as such English should be the official language.

If the demand is high enough, we may consider creating national sub-forums so you can speak in your native tongue in there (and only there!), but so far, that does not seem to be the case.

I highly doubt the CP will support the 1950, since that card came out almost a year after the Cp has been updated last.
It may work (this is where you try a manual install just to verify), however, it will lack a lot of features, so this could make the CP absolutely redundant anyway (which means you might as well do without it).

Ususally, the CCC isn't as bad anymore as it was when it was first introduced.
If you don't like the shiny polished look, you can still access all settings without a GUI from the taskbar icon (right-click it).
Very convenient and fast!
Give it a try maybe smile

muiz3 wrote:

No german please wink

Seconded.

It certainly does not bother me, however, that will mean the amount of users who are to understand your question is even smaller than it is possibly now...

Anyway, I think what you mean is whether the drivers from the officla DriverPacks or from the 3rd Party DriverPacks are preferred.
I cannot give you an absolutely definate answer (that's for Bâshrat the Sneaky), however, the driver with the newest version (the date given in the INF file) is chosen.
Therefore, even if the driver is already supplied on the Windows CD, if the DriverPacks have newer drivers, they will get installed.

Since the 3rdP DriverPacks are only supplemental to the official DriverPacks, you will not encounter any drivers twice - if a device is covered in an official DP, there's no need for a 3rd party DriverPack for the same device, obviously.

grzesiek wrote:

Is this progress bar will be in 7-zip ?  Because ive already added progress bar and its working great but each driverpack is extracted with separate progress bar.

Yes, that is exactly how it is working now, showing the progress of the extration/transfer of each DP to the HDD.

According to Bâshrat the Sneaky, it will be made official in 7.02.

Bâshrat the Sneaky wrote:

The extraction progress bar will be included in version 7.02. smile

Fine by me smile

Just wanted to know whether I'll have to do it manually again for now or not.

muiz3 wrote:

tried now with firefox...works now..

ie7 no go

Now this is very strange, because that's what it does work with for me...

Did you just left-click or right-click and "save as..."?

Updated the HID pack and the entries in the first post.

http://forum.driverpacks.net/viewtopic. … 7307#p7307

Changelog:

(13/01/2007)
* Updated Synaptics Generic Driver to version 8.3.4 from 19/05/2006

http://3rdpartydriverpacks.thesneaky.co … _070113.7z
(MD5 Hash: 933E4432A4158F14489F1FA77B1AE4EC)
Decompressed Size: 30.1 MB
Compressed Size: 4.38 MB

Works absolutely perfect for me (which is quite a surprise, given the past troubles I've had).

I only get leechwarning when using my DL manager - which is no surprise (I just gave it ago, not that I expected otherwise).

Using IE7 with no proxies set (I had to use my ISP's proxy in the past if you remember) it worked like a charm.
I did have to re-DL the DriverPack Graphics A because it was corrupted (only ~40MB), but I tested with 7zip and it works now.

Once again, thanks for all your quick work!

I didn't even get around to post my testing results this time wink (not that there was anything worth noticing...)

According your current announcement, Bâshrat the Sneaky, I can only tell you that I can DL all files absoltely uproblematic!
(even the previous T-Online ISP issues are nonexistant).

The auto update also worked like a charm smile

Just wondering, though, since I couldn't find it in the changelog, has the DP extraction progress bar already been included in this version?

Ok i removed all entries in the DPsFnshr.ini and now when i install dpsfinisher comes up and reads settings and thats all after 15 min waiting i killed the process so setup gets finished.
But the main Problem is when i integrate all drivers netframework package dont gets installed in the T13 phase when i remove GFX and Soundpackages then it works with netframework.
Damn thing i want only the drivers included ;-( without Problems hehehe (I know no Errors no way lol)
So please can someone tell me what the gfx and the sound packages are making at the T13 phase.

What .NET package are you using to integrate?

Also, what finishing method are you using?
Try switching to the other one for a change (ususally, they don't make a difference, but they could interfere with other apps).

Yeah, no surprise since it's on every news site.

The only advantage I can see is that it helps other members keep track of what's already taken care of and informs users of the drivers if they want to get them ASAP wink
