Topic: [OBSOLETE] We need a donation!

Regrettably during the SIL SATA bios test to test SATA bios version compatibilty with the different versions of the SIL drivers one of our mobos died.
Fortunally we can solve the problem by sending the broken motherboard to a service which is capable of replacing the crashed flashrom chip.

The costs for this, will be 25 euro's.
A donation for this would be really appreciated.
If we would all pitch in we can save this mobo and use it for future testing again.

Hi

Some more info..
The testers were in a private conversation, so we know what motherboard this is.
I looked up current price for the motherboard Ruud reports about, and was surprised to still find it online..
Saving it is worth the trouble, since it currently costs € 208  ( which is roughly US $ 270 ).

edit, had used wrong Exchange rate sad

Anyway, I'm glad to help out. The DP's are making my life a lot easier also.

Re: [OBSOLETE] We need a donation!

thanks,
the mobo is on its way for repair..

I accepted the donations Bâshrat the Sneaky forwarded to me.
I was going to absorb the cost, but the donation does feel GOOD.

@ JTDoom : Did you  mailed Gigabyte for the new bios?

Re: [OBSOLETE] We need a donation!

Update
Just a few minutes ago, the mobo finished a simple setup, a burn-in setup as it were..
It looks good as new.
I am real glad to have it back online.
I'll have to fix the other drives back into the case.

chertoianov , The donation for the motherboard is not needed anymore.

But if you want to help, go to : www.driverpacks.net

You can donate for the new server there if you want.
