I don't think it would matter.
To be honest, I haven't yet seen a machine with native USB3 ports.  I can see why you'd want native USB3 drivers if you were using a USB3 thumbdrive to load the OS.
I've never tried it.
You could try integrating the known USB3 drivers into your boot.wim using DISM and let us know if it reports any errors or if you run into any problems on those newer machines.

If your USB thumbdrive only supports USB2, you'll see zero benefit.

Go ahead and add it then.  Third Party DriverPacks are built and maintained by you and the community at large.
Tutorials are here and here

Oops, damn pesky bugs! Thanks for the report.  I'll fix it for the next update.

Thanks for all the info.  I'll try to get these in this weekend.

We just got these at work and I'm in love!

You put any 2.5 SATA notebook drive in there, format as NTFS.  Then create a root folder "_ISO", then transfer all your bootable .iso files (win7, XP, SpinRite, Acronis, whatever...).
Then here's the cool part.
You plug the drive into the target machine via USB or E-SATA, then select the desired .iso file from the built-in screen on the case...the target machine then boots from that .iso!

It's freakin' amazing!

I don't need to carry around a wallet of CD/DVDs anymore!

Ah, OK.  You didn't mention that little tidbit. wink

Oh, and I updated the first post with some experimental code I'm working on.  Tasty stuff! wink

LOL, I'll leave this one here just to illustrate the point.  He's banned of course, but I'll leave it just to toy with.

What is the environment the batch is run in?  Why not just use %systemdrive% or %windir% or %systemroot% and skip the whole drive-scan?  %systemdrive% will return the drive letter (K:\) of the OS you're running in and the others will return "K:\Windows".

Done!

We have been forced to lock the forums to new registrations due to the violent increase in spambot registrations.
To protect the forums from these unwelcome intrusions, we have had to resort to temporarily locking out all new user registrations until the server can be insulated against these new vulnerabilities.
Please be patient while the server administrators work to fix the problem.

The forums will remain closed to new registrations until they are fixed.
No estimated time to completion is given.  We may be forced to wait for days, weeks or months.

Current users are unaffected, and may post normally.
DriverPacks will continue to remain available for torrent download.
Lurkers may read & search normally.

OK, shields up!  Back in lockdown mode...

Our SAD2 utility is just what you're looking for. smile

I've enabled new user registration for the next 24-hours.  Reply back here when you get a new acct established so I can "raise shields" again.

trying to register now, the software only tells me "This forum is not accepting new registrations."

We had to do this because the forums were getting bombarded with spam-bots.  We were deleting about 50+ accounts per day.
Forum registrations are now locked until we get a chance to upgrade the server to the latest version.
No need to re-register.  You already have an account.
I've promoted you to the "testing team", at least temporarily.  This will give you access to the thread cdob is referring to.

*Edit
Nevermind.  That acct is now banned.  Remove the account information from this site!

That's easy.  Nvidia drivers suck!

I spend about 4 hours now building, burning and testen the 18 disks. None of them was able to detect a drive (unknown disk - there is no disk in this drive) [hope this is the right translation]

OK, that's discouraging.  Thank you for testing.  If none of them work, then cdob's method may be your only hope.

LOL, to be honest I haven't even thought much about Win8.  I for one don't like the "panel" interface.
Win8 is still a "developer preview" and shouldn't even be considered as advanced as a "beta release".  As such, things like this will be broken.
How long was it after Vista was released that we had decent drivers from ATI/Nvidia?  Months?  Nearly a year after release?

I sincerely hope that M$ and the driver vendors are working together on this right now.  If they haven't started developing for Win8 by now, they're REALLY behind the curve.

I thought I already added that. hmm
Hmm, we have some elitebooks at work.  Very nice machines.
I'll see what I can do.

I'll be using the drivers from here:

I listen to the podcast "Linux Outlaws" (VERY funny) and their forum registration process is convoluted.
In order to register for their forums you must:
1) Listen to their podcast.  The email address to request forum access is read out on the podcast.  Sometimes it's at the end, sometimes the middle.  Random.
2) Send an email to their super-secret email address.
3) Answer the question that they email you in response, along with your requested username.
4) Your account will then be activated when you click the link embedded in the confirmation email.
5) Once logged in, you must change your password immediately.
6) Posts containing links/pics are restricted until you reach post #50.

Thank you!  Donations are a rare occurrence.
You'll notice that as a "donor", you now have several new areas of the forums available to you for exploration.

Welcome to DriverPacks!

Thanks, but you know as well as I do that we can't do much without the HWIDs list and the logs.

Holy crap!  I must have deleted at least 30 accounts tonight with over 100 posts.
WTF is going on?!  This is ridiculous!

Glad to be of assistance!  Welcome to the wacky but wonderful world of DriverPacks! smile

If you have time, can you test our nvidia "feedback" packs?

It's possible your HWID needs to be moved to a different section but we need to know what works or not.
