Topic: USB3 Drivers

Got a question. I load Vista, Win7 and XP from a jump drive now, On the newer USB3 machines I integrated my USB3 drives into boot.win of Win7 32bit. I do not have 64 bit USB3 drivers and was wondering if it matter if I integrated the 32bit USB3 drivers into the 64 boot.wim would work at that stage just to load the files from the USB drive? I don't think at this point 64 is defined?

Re: USB3 Drivers

I don't think it would matter.
To be honest, I haven't yet seen a machine with native USB3 ports.  I can see why you'd want native USB3 drivers if you were using a USB3 thumbdrive to load the OS.
I've never tried it.
You could try integrating the known USB3 drivers into your boot.wim using DISM and let us know if it reports any errors or if you run into any problems on those newer machines.

If your USB thumbdrive only supports USB2, you'll see zero benefit.
