I was still rather active the past two weeks or so. Tomorrow I'll have my Java exam and next Friday my math exam. Now I will really be absent here.

See you guys next Friday!

Instead of one, we've got two now smile

Debugger has joined the DriverPacks Team and Overflow has joined the Main Team. Welcome, both of you!

Could the problems with drivers for Realtek, Soundmax (blue screen portcls.sys) et al be associated with KB888111 as it seems Microsoft has two versions of this Universal Audio Architecture (UAA) High Definition Audio class driver ?

KB888111 and KB835221

Gigabyte GA-965P-DS4 (Realtek High Definition audio) motherboard requires Microsoft UAA (Universal Audio Architecture) Bus driver package - KB835221 to be loaded before installing the audio function drivers.

Microsoft state that KB888111 only applies to HD Audio known to it prior to August 1, 2004

No.

The problematic drivers are all non-HDA, i.e. AC'97. The problem is JUST the SoundMAX & Sigmatel drivers. They're designed to work only for a very limited range of OEM HWIDs. The consequence is that you have to include EVERY driver out there of either of these brands to support ALL OEM HWIDs.

And FYI: the KB888111 hotfix is an update of the KB835221 hotfix.

They're supported in DriverPack Graphics B! wink Check the one called "pre-9500 Radeon".

siginet and Rougespear may know a lot too, but Mr Wills is a genius at this.
he is the founder of cybertechhelp

I was using the exact same .htaccess file as RogueSpear...

now it works why you block IP´s?

To block leechers/leechbots.

It IS correct for many others, just not for everybody. There are many hundreds of downloads every day, so if it didn't work for everybody that number would be close to zero and the forum would be flooded with reports about this.

I've removed all blacklisted IP's and IP ranges now. That means I'll have to restart collecting blacklisted IP's, but that should solve the issue now.

For T-Online users, use the proxy I posted above.
For everyone else, check whether your ISP offers any proxy, try it with that and report back.

It is still strange though, that the referrer would onyl work *through* the proxy and not w/o, while it is exactly the opposite for any other site...

Bâshrat the Sneaky: What kind of DL manager blocker are you using exactly?
Is that anything special, proprietary or just some basic hosting setting?

I'm blocking all known download managers through a .htaccess file.

Is it STILL not working?

I've removed all banned IP's. If it doesn't work now, then you MUST be either blocking referers or using download managers.

But now I have to rebuild my entire blacklist... sigh

please put them back to driverpack.net and the it works ..

If I'd do that, the bandwidth for the driverpacks.net website would be consumed in less than one and a half day wink

btw, strangely enought i cant even find a comand string in the 7z.sfx  that support   comandline argumented text.

for example

example_7z.exe /q x /d"c:\temp\" /text "extracting example_7z [1 of 5]"

or something like that...

True. You'll have to hexedit the .sfx file and save it as "custom.sfx" or something like that. After that, you don't have to modify it manually anymore.

Ok smile I see you've registered at the bugtracker already as asked, that's good. I've set your permissions to 'updater' already! You can submit your translation at the bugtracker whenever you're ready now! wink

Check the nightly of DriverPack Chipset, the latest Intel Chipset drivers are indeed included in that one (good job muiz smile). Probably that will fix it.

Your group membership wasn't set correctly... now you can see all forums and things will become clear wink

Muiz, I would be happy to join in Driverpack Team, but my English so awful! Is it so big problem?[/offtopic]

Aha I see smile I did not notice that subtle difference.

And by the way, the DriverPacks Team is the team in which English is the least required of all teams... wink Send me an e-mail for confirming that you want to join! wink

Yep but download it and compare the 2 , seems totaly different.

Are the HWIDs identical? If yes, no problem, just an improved driver then. If they are not the same, then let me know.

He didn't set it himself, muiz, it's a forum setting wink As soon as a member has more than x posts, his title will be set to "DriverPacks Magician".

More info about this driver: it's for the ASUS automatical overclocking chip. I've already included it many months ago, so all you have to do is update the driver.

Which driver is loaded then?

Helmi wrote:

Certainly, but it is quite a mess.
No proper folder structure, no dodumentation or anything wink

Hopefully I will get around to it the day after tomorrow.
Once I've got it as far as you can actually make use of it, I will of course share it!

It's not that big anyway and I think you already included the most stuff (RealTek HDA and AC'97 sound).

I still do have some Intel MB drivers that were missing (Sigmatel sound).
I'll try to get those as ready as to being able to get included in the sound packs!

Helmi, as a member of the Main Team you automatically have also full access to any team below it, including the DriverPacks Team wink So feel free to join in the DriverPacks updating process any time wink
