Topic: [SOLVED] Intel DP965LT Mobo & onboard Marvell IDE Controller

Marvell RAID 614x SATA2 Controller HWID is: PCI\VEN_11AB&DEV_6101&CC_0104
Marvell 88SE6101 on Intel DP965LT HWID is:  PCI\VEN_11AB&DEV_6101&CC_0101

Problem: load wrong driver and bsod before partition select.

Re: [SOLVED] Intel DP965LT Mobo & onboard Marvell IDE Controller

Which driver is loaded then?

Re: [SOLVED] Intel DP965LT Mobo & onboard Marvell IDE Controller

Loaded RAID Driver. But driver NOT needed! Without DP Windows loaded standard IDE driver, and all OK.

Re: [SOLVED] Intel DP965LT Mobo & onboard Marvell IDE Controller

I'm seeing a similar issue with an Intel DG965RY motherboard. BSOD after loading drivers, before setting partitions.

Re: [SOLVED] Intel DP965LT Mobo & onboard Marvell IDE Controller

sabre, it is a same situation.

I suppose, it is necessary to make empty inf-file with HWID PCI\VEN_11AB&DEV_6101&SUBSYS_610111AB, which will load common atapi.sys. Who can make it?

Re: [SOLVED] Intel DP965LT Mobo & onboard Marvell IDE Controller

the current driver is dated jan 2006 try and find a newer one and I'll put it in the mix for testing and release

Re: [SOLVED] Intel DP965LT Mobo & onboard Marvell IDE Controller

muiz, he means assigning to problem hwids of common ide driver, atapi. its could be work...

Re: [SOLVED] Intel DP965LT Mobo & onboard Marvell IDE Controller

+1 on the problem for me. Driverpacks bsods my windows disk before getting to the partition screen.
relevant hardware:

Could that be conflicting with the entries in the txtsetup.sif file after running driver pack containing this?

PCI\VEN_197B&DEV_2360="jraid"
PCI\VEN_197B&DEV_2361="jraid"
PCI\VEN_197B&DEV_2363="jraid"
PCI\VEN_197B&DEV_2365="jraid"
PCI\VEN_197B&DEV_2366="jraid"

Problem solved - add to txtsetup.sif next strings:

PCI\VEN_11AB&DEV_6101&CC_0101 = "pciide"
PCI\VEN_11AB&DEV_6111&CC_0101 = "pciide"
PCI\VEN_11AB&DEV_6120&CC_0101 = "pciide"
PCI\VEN_11AB&DEV_6121&CC_0101 = "pciide"
PCI\VEN_11AB&DEV_6140&CC_0101 = "pciide"
PCI\VEN_11AB&DEV_6141&CC_0101 = "pciide"

Verified on Intel DG965RY Mobo. It works! Thanks to iSmart for response!

tastyratz, try to add in txtsetup.sif next strings:

PCI\VEN_197B&DEV_2360&CC_0101="pciide"
PCI\VEN_197B&DEV_2361&CC_0101="pciide"
PCI\VEN_197B&DEV_2363&CC_0101="pciide"
PCI\VEN_197B&DEV_2365&CC_0101="pciide"
PCI\VEN_197B&DEV_2366&CC_0101="pciide"

Re: [SOLVED] Intel DP965LT Mobo & onboard Marvell IDE Controller

@Debugger: can't we live WITHOUT this hack? I think if you just add the CC_0104 and CC_0106 suffixes, that would work as well.

Bâshrat the Sneaky, do you mean to add that suffixes in inf file? If so, I agreed what it will works too. Digital sign absent in driver, so changing of inf file not so bad.

I've already applied this in the first 7.01 nightly of DP MassStorage that I uploaded, forgot to put it in the changelog I see now. Will fix that.
