Updated in latest DriverPack Graphics B beta 8.12b2

VirtualBox is my all-time favorite by far!

Do not extract the DriverPacks!  Leave them as .7z files and put them in the "Driverpacks" folder as explained in the tutorial.
You did read the tutorial...right? wink

Oh, and welcome to DriverPacks.net!

I wouldn't think so, then you would have two copy processes instead of one.  One to copy from CD to HDD, then another to extract.

RVM Integrator was designed to Integrate addons & updatepacks.  That's it's primary job (but it can handle removals if needed).
Nlite was designed to Remove items and set unattended options.  That's it's primary job (but it can handle integrations if needed).

Two tools for different jobs.

The DriverPacks Finisher still needs to run if you want all those nifty control panel thingys.  It takes care of the secondary installers for you silently (just look at the content of each DriverPacks .ini file for the cmd line.)

DP_G_B has four already?

Not for long! wink

I'll look into the other Intel drivers.  Maybe I just have to rearrange the layout of the other folders to eliminate the overlap.

You forgot 4), though, send a silent assassins squad to NV HQ and have them take care of the problem properly... wink

How about 4a), Nvidia hires me and I fix all this crap once and for all! wink

Seriously though.  I'm moving through all three DriverPacks and weeding out dups where I can on folders that already have driver-signing 'bent' (like mobility.inf or nv4_go.inf).
I'm also adding a few folders to cover gaps in ATI/Nvidia (I'm a glutton for punishment).
As soon as I'm done, I'll upload ALL the graphics DriverPacks and additionals (PhysX/Lang).

Well, by my count (and I'm being generous!) Nvidia has 5 'unified' driversets to cover their product line.
Unified my A$$ sad

I'm not going to update I1\ to Intel GMA driver v14.37.0.5009 because they dropped half the HWIDs and added nothing.
That's just dumb!

I'm nearly done with the QA and pruning.
Nvidia has really screwed up our plans because they've splintered their 'unified' drivers.
180.48 is newest/best so far, but only supports a few series (GTX280 down to 8800 series).  Currently in \N1\
178.24 seems the most compatible as it supports the most chips (GTX280 all the way down to 6100 series).  Not in any DriverPacks, replaced by 180.43
175.16 seems best for some older cards (6x00 series to 5x00 series).  Currently in \N3\ in unreleased 812 beta DriverPacks
93.71 is the fall-back driver for older devices.   Currently in \N4\ in unreleased 812 beta DriverPacks

My problem?  There's duplicate HWIDs all over the place!  There's NO way to support ALL the hardware without breaking driver signing for at least one folder.
So our choices are:
1) Keep driver signing intact, and hope we don't blue-screen at T-34.
2) Break driver signing, but guarantee no blue-screens.
3) Drop hardware from the supported list.

What's everyone's thoughts?

I've got my test DriverPacks built with ATI 8.12 and Nvidia 180.48.  I'm running them through my own gauntlet of tests before I upload to the nightly servers.
Be patient...
*Edit
First test complete, ATI 9600 mobility...success!
Second test complete, Nvidia 8800 GTS...success!
Going to sleep.  One more test tomorrow, then software QA.
Then upload! wink

OK, thanks for the tests.
This means I need to add another folder and prune the HWIDs. (thanks nvidia!) grrrrr.

Can you check to see if you can install either of these drivers from the desktop (NON-integrated).
http://www.nvidia.com/object/winxp_2k_93.71_2.html
http://www.nvidia.com/object/winxp_175.19_whql.html

Both should work.  But try the older drivers first, then the newer.
If they don't work, then it's a hardware problem, not drivers.

Sorry, you misunderstood.  I want you to include DriverPack Graphics C AND ONLY DriverPack Graphics C (remove DriverPack Graphics A & B).  The folders have been switched in the nightlies and if you include both B & C DriverPacks then N3 will be a jumbled mess (no wonder it didn't work).
Please test with ONLY DP_Graphics_C_wnt5_x86-32_811n2

Just so everyone knows, I'm aware of the new 8.12 ATI catalyst release, I just can't do anything about it right now.
I'm swamped at work and I'm finishing up two college classes in the next few days.
Real life just won't stop getting in the way! smile

Be patient, and I'll be hard at work on the new DriverPacks sometime next week.

OK, thanks.  I'll take a look.
*Edit,
Both those HWIDs are covered by DriverPack Graphics C\N3
Can you try this DP?

Everything should be fine.  But since you didn't bother to post your HWIDs, we can't be certain.

Please read this postbefore you request help.

LOL, that HDD sensor won't need any drivers. (chuckles...)

LOL, and Nvidia is NOT helping!! wink
BTW, you can change the resolution settings for nvidia within the 'modes.txt' file in the drivers.  As far as I know, 4-bit is only supported in 'safe mode' (generic M$ driver).

Absolutely. smile
That's exactly what you should do.  Just don't forget to remove your old DriverPacks first.
Also, if you've integrated textmode mass storage drivers, you'll need to run DriverPacks BASE on your source with NOTHING checked to remove all traces of previous DriverPacks.  This effectively 'uninstalls' the DriverPacks from your source.
