well at least you're kind and intelligent and have at least skimmed the forum... as evidenced by your response...

Ping will work as long as tcpip is installed... we are taking advantage of the fact that the target is not reachable until the network is live
Please take amoment to read the stickied posts in this forum (finish reading the skinlayers thread for example).
Why you have driversigning popups is covered dozens of times... (don't use make PNF or KTD)
I am sure you have not read my many posts in this forum (Universal Imaging) or you would not be adding sp3 after the install ... (Grrr)
did you read the posting guidelines? or read before you post? Seemingly no... if you did then you have failed to understand them.
Welcome to DriverPacks, We are glad you're here and look forward to helping you.
We will not however hold your hand just to help you to find info that is posted in stickied threads and quite easily found useing the search feature.
LOL...
rename 900705.7z to 90705.7z
ver 9.07 SubVer 0 Rev 5 (nightly)
a final would be 907.7z
IDK if you have my Email so I sent you a message.
Attach your source and i will add the line for you
Google DPInst.exe...
We use the XP version of the tool with the XP packs... (The Stand Alone Drivers feature of BASE [SAD])
DPInst is what is refered to as a Software First Installer. (See you are not the only lunatic... LOL.) (I almost named the SAD platform "SoFI")
I was lead bench tech in the most respected shop in my area for many years myself back in the 90's... I understand all too well what you mean.
Most people want to upgrade drivers just for bragging rights... not to fix anything... They just wish to say they have the NEWEST one... they rarely even know what changed between the versions (i ask them every time an no one has ever known the answer... they reply IDK it is newer so I want it... then i ask were you haveing an issue with the old one... to which they reply "NO"... then i get to have my fun... by quoting an old saying... "IF it ain't broke, don't fix it!" Things get to become old sayings over time bbecause they contain wisdom . Never update a driver or a BIOS just because there is an update... Only update to cure an issue (an issue that you are personaly experiencing). Otherwise you are likely to take something that was working perfectly and make it a mire...
I belive you can Implement the Vista DriverPacks with the DPInst tool for Vista... this has not been done yet to our knowledge.
However it is a good feature and one we do support with NT5.x OS's
Since dpinst tool has proven valuable for NT5 i assume it will also be on NT6...
Perhaps we can help each other... the result might be SAD for NT6 for all of our users!
All things do have a proper place... in your situation a SoFI does seem to be an appropriate application. you may in many cases have no choice but to repair the OS (because the customer can't find thier software install media or keys for example) where as most of us who deal with corporate enviroment desktops can simply re-image and being a tech you are prepared to test for and eliminate issues that may arise as a result of updating drivers.
when i wrote my script i think i wrote a line that removes everything after a semicolon on any line
Moved to the OTHER Forum becuase this is not related to DriverPacks BASE or even the DriverPacks for that matter.
the forum you originaly posted in is specificaly titled "Feedback and Support - DriverPacks Base"
Since you are not using BASE you query is inappropriate in that forum.
Since you are not using the DriverPacks your query is not appropriate for any of our forums at all... (except OTHER)
But its always nice to see a new face! Welcome to DriverPacks.
Don't be surprized if you get no other responses to this thread since it is way OT.
re: Detailed Instructions...
#1 Add "mass storage text mode" only... no other packs.
You are now done. Man that was hard...
DriverPacks is intended for unattended installs, that is by design.
Grrrr.... This question has been asked an answered over 1000 times...
According to our rules...
Failing to use the search feature of our forum will result in you recieving a demerit - Demerit awarded
You have used a "bad" title
Violated / ignored Rule #0
Please look before you leap
Since we have been here for over five years just about everything you can possably think of has been covered already
What you are asking about is an attended installation feature - Search for "Repair" and "Attended Install" - check out the feature request forum. especially this one http://forum.driverpacks.net/viewtopic.php?id=2733 and the one the OP links to in his first post...
As you can see even the lamest attempt to find your info would have saved us the time required to RE answer this question...
Welcome to DriverPacks Please have a look around and skim the rules.
The answer is fairly obvious...
our audience uses the DriverPacks to add drivers to the installation media.
So there is absolutely no reason to use the DriverPacks after the install since the drivers have already been added...
Hardware does not add itself... so no new drivers should be required after the install.
I have never serviced a users machine that had no drivers installed... not once in 30 years... It is a strange / unusual request.
So I am not surprized at all that no one has asked for this before... Quite the opposite, I am surprized you need this...
Really the only time you need a full set of DriverPacks is when you load the machine... and if you slipstream them with the Vista Tool then...
Vista is a a real stickler for driver signing...
My guess would be Muiz has broken signing on some of the drivers to make them coexist.
During setup we can tell Vista to use unsigned drivers... During an ODD search you can't (or haven't) disable driver signing policy. Just a guess.
We assume you extracted them from the 7zip archives and burned them to a DVD in your above attempts?
USB drivers are normally a 3rd party DriverPack item...
Lets see what the team thinks... we will have a vote!
Thank you for providing the feedback to 'help us to help you' and everyone else with this hardware!
I am sure i can find lots of drivers on their website...
I am only interested in a single link to a driver you have downloaded tested and can confirm does work...
just putting any random driver in the pack doesn't help anyone
and we don't accept uploaded drivers... OEM links only
use the command "Call" to run the script from a batchfile
Call %SystemDrive%/DriverPacks.net/DP_Install_Tool.cmd
that way it will return to your batchfile after the script exits.
Thanks for taking the time to browse the related issues in our forum...
We like that a lot!!!

We have detected a sneek!!!!
You have been poking around in our testing team files? without permission????
we are going to have to stick our tounges out at you now
Please do NOT use the test packs except for testing... If they were stable they would have been released
Test packs are not supported unless you are on the testing team or if you are invited to test a particular pack for a particular device. If you were on the team you would then be aware of what issues we already know exist in those packs. (kinda silly to have you reporting issues in the open forum that the team has already documented. LOL) Without testing team access you are blind to the known issues. (Known to the team)
If you use our Alpha and Beta DriverPacks you will have problems... and those problems are not supported
IE You can't object to having our notes left behind on packs that are designed ONLY FOR TESTING...
(Who cares if there are some stray files on a test build on a test machine... RIGHT?
Plus it helps us bust the cheaters
All kidding aside, We don't secure our test packs so people can get at them if they are able to do some looking around on thier own... We can figure if you can find them then likely you can handle the issues you cause yourself... And take a little teasing when you are caught with your hand in the cookie jar .
Just don't use the nightly builds for production machines... we never include Beta or alpha drivers in releases you might however find beta drivers in a nightly . We are not going to ask you to put the cookie back, as long as you remember that it just might spoil your dinner. lol
- But you have been warned, if they were valid, stable and bug-free packs we would have released them
Hint: a pack with an rc in the version is probably worth trying ONLY IF you have a device of that type that is not being installed correctly or at all If you are not haveing any problems then you don't need test packs
Have a great day - and thanks for making us laugh!
Jeff
RunOnceEx is probably better and how I coded it in the alpha of BASE
there is another version out already...
http://driverpacks.sytes.net/driverpack … 6b4test.7z
care to test again... (if it fails then api log required )
we don't reference drivers by name... Sorry.
What is the specific HWID you are curious about?
can you provide me the setupapi.log again?
do you have a link to a known working driver ?
in use files are deleted after a reboot...
just reboot
if it is the disc that came with the PC then the key should be accepted... double check you did not fat finger it..
Wow...
EXCELLENT first post sir!
Details, Links, offer to test...
You da man!
Have a wonderful day and welcome to DriverPacks
