keeping a copy of your source, just prior to adding DriverPacks is the Reccomended / prefered method big_smile

but it would not hurt to add both facts the the FAQs smile (and tutorial)

thank you abdou... Most apprecieated sir!

Yeah I was able to download the eval version from MS...

http://www.microsoft.com/DOWNLOADS/deta … laylang=en

It does appear to be a standard 2k3 server layout for the OS... However the Boot.wim is definately the NT 6.x boot image.

So the solution must be a hybrid...
BASE for Slipstreaming PnP drivers
Vista Tool for slipstreaming the TextMode drivers...

Should be doable with existing DriverPacks software... But it will require both tools be run on the source.

there is a super generic match on D\S\CxA2...

I wonder if he got the CD's that came with it...

I extracted and took a look at the 32bit Vista Driver here...
http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/soft … &lang=

the WAHerza.inf is Signature="$Windows NT$"

and the HWID entries are in the generic  section so they should work for any win NT OS (like XP)

[Manufacturer]
Conexant=Conexant

[Conexant]
%HdAudioFunctionDriver.Hermosa5051.DeviceDesc% = HdAudModel,HDAUDIO\FUNC_01&VEN_14F1&DEV_5051&SUBSYS_103C360A
%HdAudioFunctionDriver.Hermosa5051.DeviceDesc% = HdAudModel,HDAUDIO\FUNC_01&VEN_14F1&DEV_5051&SUBSYS_103C360B

this driver should install if it's extracted and then have disk is pointed to the \V32\WAHerza.inf...

But if he fails to use test and report then our time will simply be wasted... sad
- Hey i hope i am wrong!
but when was the last time that happened wink

YOU HAVE BROKEN ALMOST EVERY RULE LISTED IN OUR RULES AND GUIDLINES in your first post no less...
http://forum.driverpacks.net/viewtopic.php?pid=31245

Well done... Multiple Demerits have been awarded! and a new all time demerit record has been set... LOL smile wink tongue

Have you even used the DriverPacks?

If you have then Please provide the info in 'Read BEFORE you post', Link in my signature...
(DriverPacks BASE version - packs used - Method - logs - ECT...)

If you have already read 'the guidlines' then you know that we don't find drivers for people.

All known windows drivers are belived to already be in included in the packs...
Did you try to use them?
If you did not use DriverPacks then we can't, and won't even try, to help you.
After all, this is the DriverPacks support forum...

From our guide:

Posting Guidelines

Although quite easy to use, the DriverPacks and the accompanying software form a toolset that is designed for use by advanced level users.
If you have not used the search feature of this forum, or Google.
If you do not include basic details
If you have not read the FAQ's or documentation BartPE Tutorial   DP_Base Tutorial
If you did not include your HWID's or DPs_BASE.log in your post
If you create a post that says "I am looking for a driver for"
(Especially if you have not used the DriverPacks at all.)

Then your welcome here may not be as warm and fuzzy as you might like.
The above mistakes are considered Noob like behaviors...
We are not and have never been a noob friendly site.

So Either
add DriverPacks to your source using DriverPacks BASE (tutorial in my sig) or
use our SAD feature (Please find and use the "Search" feature of our site.)

Please let us know if you have a problem with the DriverPacks, then we will be glad / eager to help.

I would be willing to bet that if you were to actually use the DriverPacks that all your driver problems will be solved. Just as they are solved for the millions of users that have already used the DriverPacks in the past. a match for the HWID HDAUDIO\FUNC_01&VEN_14F1&DEV5051 does exist in the packs.

Did it work for you... we don't know do we... If it works great!

If not then not only will we fix it for you but also for everyone else with your hardware. big_smile
That is the spirit of DriverPacks...  help us to help you ,   and everyone else in your situation.

I am sorry you were taken in by pretty websites that steal your money and fail to deliver.
We are the total opposite of them. The DriverPacks always work and we don't charge big_smile...
Try it and see for yourself...

We don't distribute a file called Db_Install... and other users do not have issues. Coincidence?

Was your original image created with DriverPack MassStorage. If so you do not need to do anything with sysprep for mass.
Simply set the HDD controler type to standard IDE...
Since all of the mass storage drivers have already been slipsreamed, no additional steps are required wink

Search for DPINST.EXE

We use this for SAD with the Win NT 5.x drivers... Vista has not been done (by us) yet...

If you don't understand a suggestion, don't make assumptions. Search the net for given keywords. That's: F10 revocery console

Most likely this driver dosn't support Win2k anymore.

The other possability is the limit for 2K has been breached in the new pack...

Disableing a few drivers for win2k may also yield results...

    IE adding the line

ms_1_exc_disableIfOS="w2k" in the mass storage INI for a few more drivers (ones you don't think you will need)

Cool Pyramid eh?

in some cases the order in which the packs INI entries appear plays a factor...

IE sometimes we need Raid first and sometimes we need AHCI first... the latest pack may have introduced an alteration in that ordering either th order was changed or the driver behavior has wink...

the difference is RAID / AHCI mode selected for each...

IE &CC_0101 and  &CC_0101 - Indicates the mode the Hardware is in... wink

PS which build of BartPE is this
IE is it UBCD4Win? DriverPacks is most effective with UBCD4Win thier team includes additional plugins that can enhance / compliment our plugin(s).

UBCD4Win has some tools for that too.

and now you are at the beginning of the road...

Yes we must keep the old driver to support older - and add new driver to support newer hardware.
The old and the new driver may overlap each other as far as what devices they support (hwids).
if the HWID exists in three or four different drivers the wrong driver may be chosen... and then we must force the correct driver to be choosen. This is known as a conflict, and we solve them daily. A driver that works all by itself just fine will very likely fail if grouped with similar drivers that contain overlapping HWID support. IE you have a Nvidia 8600 GT driver and a GigaByte 8600GT driver both in the packs they may share some of the same supported hwids. but the Gigabyte driver may fail if selected by a non Gigabyte Graphics adapter. in which case we get a failure report and must act and test. and repeat... and repeat again... and again

You can't just dump a bunch of drivers in a folder and expect it to just work...

If you could do that we would not bother to be here wink

you may have to switch gears on this and try MSFN.ORG big_smile

SBS is a bullet proof platform if correctly tweaked

That is what i like to run at home and for my small clients who need a server wink

I also mistakenly thought it was a win NT 6.x platform... and googled it to discover i too was wrong...

NBD...  You were wrong... it happens, I wouldn't have called it flame though wink

Welcome to our board IvanHo

It seems logical to support home server since we do advertise that we support Win NT 5.x x32 platform support...

Let's talk about it...
