Did you verify the MD5 for each file?

Do you have the HWID for the device?
I can't find DFE-520TX listed on D-Link's website or FTP. ftp://ftp.dlink.com/NIC/

NEVER use nlite to slipstream DriverPacks.  It doesn't work.
Use DriverPacks BASE to slipstream DriverPacks LAST, just before building the .iso.

All I know is ricktendo64 has made some VERY COOL videos showing how he uses the power of MSFT utilities to alter and reconfigure a Win7 install disk.

He USED to have a LINK in his SIGNATURE line, but I don't see it here.

I added the link to the videos back to Rick's signature. wink
Nothing like a little shameless advertising, eh Rick!

The answer is both yes & no.

Intel does not provide Win7-specific drivers.  BUT, it MAY work in a default install after updating drivers using Windows Update

Indeed.  Win7 blows away XP and definitely Vista.  DISM will handle all your component removals with ease.  You just need to get a handle on the command-line.
The only reason I haven't switched my wifes notebook over to Win7 is because it has a stupid media control strip on the left and quick launch buttons on the right of the keyboard which is controlled by an XP-only app.  She insists on using them, so she's stuck with XP.

It's a problem with how cdn propagates the files among it's servers.  Give it another day.  If not, I'll rename the file on the server and refresh the link.

You can integrate all the main DriverPacks without problems.  If you integrate any Third Party DriverPacks, keep them to an absolute minimum.  There's a known limitation with XP where a filepath limit is exceeded if all the main DriverPacks are used with all the Third Party DriverPacks.  Once XP is installed with the main DriverPacks, you can get the rest of the drivers by building a SAD disc with whatever Third Party DriverPacks you wish.
http://www.ryanvm.net/msfn/ is the best place to look for update packs.  I prefer the one built by User_Hidden, but there are others.  Choose wisely!
I haven't made a CD in a long time.  I only use DVD-R now.

It's possible that the portcls.sys file in one of the folders is not w2k compatible.
Also, Win2k has a 255 character file path limit.  XP has a 4096 character limit.  I'm pretty sure that DriverPack Sound A FAR exceeds that limit on it's own because of the stupid Creative drivers!
BTW Jeff, I just had an idea about our file path limit problem.  I was thinking in terms of the UNC path that applies to burning files on a CD. CD burning uses Joliet specification (mostly) which limits the length to 256 minus one character, correct?  But in 2000 and XP there is no limit on a UNC path, i cant imagine ever having to worry about that because \\server\share wouldn't ever be very long.
Maybe if we create a RAM disk, then extract the DriverPacks to it and call it with \\?\%drive%\d\.
Just an idea.
Reference is here: http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library … px#maxpath

To specify an extended-length path, use the "\\?\" prefix. For example, "\\?\D:\<very long path>". (The characters < > are used here for visual clarity and cannot be part of a valid path string.)
<snip>
Note  The maximum path of 32,767 characters is approximate, because the "\\?\" prefix may be expanded to a longer string by the system at run time, and this expansion applies to the total length.

@vmanda,
I'm looking at that .inf file.  Where did THAT come from?
Is that something that you created?

I concur.  Although the power management file you linked to is a newer version of what is contained in the 'misc' Third Party DriverPack \D\3\X\L\IBMPMDRV.INF
I'll look into the ATK updates too. (I already had the ATK110 files from Ricktendo).
