Thanks for the link!  I wanted to ask though:  when's the best time to apply such a regtweak?  Am I able to implement it in any of BST's first-logon batch files maybe?

During T-12 (through cmdlines.txt), because registry changes applied at that stage will be applied to ALL useraccounts (since it has modified the Default User-account).

It's just so stupid to see advertised that they offer 'unified drivers for easy installation'. It's only partially true. nVidia's chipset drivers are even worse, of course. It's all about the interpretation...

Well, I though it would be nice to have all languages featured in their original name. But perhaps it's better to use the format

<language name in language> (<language name in English).lng

e.g.:

Deutsch (German).lng

That way you willl always be able to recognize the languages as long as you know some English.

Suggestions about which specific software to use are welcome too!

Does this happen with A or B?

It just indicates that one specific (out of the seemingly endlessly existing ones) SoundMAX or Sigmatel driver is missing. That means the driver is missing from the DriverPack Sound B DriverPack.

Maybe you can make one too tongue

Other priorities first wink

Probably it was some kind of software update that one of the download servers was having. If it still were down, I would have been flooded by people asking why it was down tongue

Will DriverPacks Base have a Make ISO section in the future?

Someone requested this feature some time back

Yes. wink

Well, you downloaded through the FTP account then wink Try the suggested download URI and it won't work.

6.03.4 was the latest version of that I think. The latest DriverPacks Chipset and Graphics A aren't compatible with it, the others are.

To make a complete test with the previous version, may you PLEAZZZZZZZ send me the links for the DriverPacks Chipset and Graphics A compatible

Can't, they're no longer online. Will have to upload them...

Wait a couple of hours, the domain is not yet active...

Mail sent with the download link wink

DriverPacks server is being closed. Please read this thread: http://forum.driverpacks.net/viewtopic.php?id=5031

If you have a 3rd party DriverPack, but don't have a reliable space to host them (or if you just hate rapidshare etc, like me), then you can use the ftp provided by driverpacks.net.

FTP login:

server: 3rdpartydriverpacks.thesneaky.com
username: dps_3p
password: BFVuC-mZ

(upload into the '3rdpartydriverpacks.thesneaky.com/wnt5_x86-32' (or any other platform) directory, put previous versions in the 'old' directory, so you can recover them instantly if necessary)
Abuse will not be tollerated. If you notice any files that should not be there, contact me (admin@driverpacks.net).

public download:

http://3rdpartydriverpacks.thesneaky.com/wnt5_x86-32/<DriverPack name>.7z

This ftp can be freely used for hosting your 3rd Party DriverPacks.

Update (June 6, 2007)
This ftp account was also exposed in the Dreamhost leakage of 3500 ftp passwords, and hence it was changed!

Update (Jan 17, 2011)
This ftp server is being turned off.

It's not exotic, but it's the most exotic device that is present on that system. That you are getting that error on a VM simply astonishes me. The only thing that's left for me to suggest (especially you're the only one with this problem so far), is to start with only ONE DriverPack (Chipset for example) and gradually add more DriverPacks, to find the DriverPack which causes the problem.

P.S.: have you overclocked this system? Because this error is caused rather frequently by corrupted ISO's...

Could you please retry the installation without the TV card? Just remove it from your system temporarily. I suspect that this one is the culprit - at least it is the most likely one: this is the 'most exotic' device in this system.

hm... first of all, I'll need your hwids (check my sig for a tool). Did this same system get installed succesfully in the past?

Does your system have onboard graphics or onboard sound? And have you added an additional graphics or sound card? The 0x50 code points to a driver conflict.

You forgot to update the author and authorContact entries! I've changed them to 'chertoianov' and entered the e-mail address you used to register here at the forums. (I'm including the language files in RC1).

EDIT: and you should also rename it to ?????????.ini or B?lgarski.ini (whichever one is correct, got it from Wikipedia tongue)

EDIT2: well... it seems punbb doesn't do very well in supporting unicode tongue But I guess you know what was written there...

Can you give me the access to the version beta?

dziubek

I thing already has Polish translation.

I've made dziubek Translator, since you said "I think". You two can/should get in touch for discussing who will do it.

Execute either of the following commands, they both do the same thing:

devpath.exe
devpath.exe %SystemRoot%\Inf

They both reset your DevicePath value in the registry to %SystemRoot%\Inf.
