All the info and history you need is in this thread: http://forum.driverpacks.net/viewtopic.php?id=2985
The last working version for most was 9.10.
The problem isn't the drivers, it's the connection applications that cause all the problems.  You need the specific app for your chipset.  One of the problems is the similarity in the driver names, combined with the DriverPacks Finisher inability to index the device id's on the USB bus means that you stand a good chance of having the wrong connection app install.  It's a combination of problems.
If you want to try to fix it, start by including updated drivers only, then test on your hardware.  Once you get a working pack, then try to add the connection installers last.

LOL, it's a Tuesday.  Real life takes priority for many of us.

Your graphics card is supported in the latest DriverPack Graphics A release candidate in testing.  Won't be long now.
I added your sound drivers to the DriverPack Sound B release candidate.  I haven't yet uploaded to the testing team.

does anyone know what's wrong here ?

Yes.
v9.10 is too old.
v10.05b1 is beta (testing) and is broken.

I myself do not use the bluetooth Third Party DriverPack and instead install the bluetooth drivers from the OEM site as needed.  Only about 20% of the systems I install actually have bluetooth onboard.
In my opinion, that pack is a waste of time.  But if you manage to figure out how to fix it, let us know. wink

Please post your HWID list using the tool in my signature.
Yours should be supported in the latest generic Nvidia drivers v266.58 here: http://www.nvidia.co.uk/object/notebook … er-uk.html

The strange thing is that now the name of the video card shows "NVIDIA_C51.DEV_0244.1%%" and not "NVIDIA GeForce Go 6150" as before.

Thanks for reporting back.  Yes, I made a mistake in the "strings" section of the .inf.  It's fixed now.
No need to worry about PhysX, it's not supported on your card.

Yes, sort of.  I believe that the drivers will only get installed on the device that is "active" during install.
I don't have one of those to test on.  So I can't be certain.

I've tested this Synaptics test pack on both my notebooks (Acer Netbook from 2010 and Gateway from 2003) and both install fine.
I did not include the "Scrybe" folder.
Please test and let me know what you think.

Yes, it was a Nvidia Mobile (NM) only pack.  Languages and PhysX were already included.  It was a test.
So now that I know the drivers work on their own, I have more work to do to figure out the differences.

It said that it couldn't find a better match than what was already installed.

It's going to say that because the newer drivers aren't signed.  You have to 'force' them by using the "I'll pick the device thank you very much" method. wink

The newest Synaptic driver is v15.2.7 (includes "Scrybe") directly from here: http://www.synaptics.com/support/drivers
I'm toying with the idea of merging all the \S*\ folder .inf files into one using this new driver to save space.
Has anyone tried this new driver yet?  Does anyone WANT to stick with the individual OEM folders?
I'll put together a TEST pack for people to try.  I want to make sure my idea works before committing the change to the final.

OK, I'll build it.  I'll post it later.
Here you go.

Make sure NO OTHER GRAPHICS packs are used (physx, lang, A, B, C), remove ALL except this one.

After install, the drivers from R2 will have been used (because they're signed).  Just extract the contents of DriverPack Sound A to your hard drive, go to the realtek sound device in the device manager, device properties, driver, update driver, click "have disk", point to C:\d\s\r\ and force the drivers.  Restart and see if that fixes it.

I took a look at their list of drivers and our DriverPacks contain all of them. smile
IF you install XP with our DriverPacks integrated and you find a problem, THEN post a request.
Follow our tutorial and you'll be fine.

LAN-RIS: Read the changelog: http://driverpacks.net/driverpacks/wind … -ris/10.11

This DriverPack should NOT be used with DriverPacks BASE.  It is a specialist 3rd Party DriverPack for professionals versed in the art of RIS network-based installs.

Yes, that's very odd.  I think that was my fault.  The file in my torrent upload folder has a different MD5 than the one in my DriverPacks BASE folder.  I might have made a last minute change and uploaded the wrong file.
I'll fix the MD5 for the current file (should be: 8958d782c6d22dca21ac33e4cc77565a) and fix/upload a v11.02 version.

To avoid any potential conflicts, use ONLY this graphics pack.  Remove all other graphics packs from your test source.

Can you check this post and tell us if it's the same symptoms?
http://forum.driverpacks.net/viewtopic. … 148#p36148

This is why we still maintain the older drivers in \r2.
Do the newer drivers in \R\ work better?

The hashes match on both desktop/notebook nvcuvenc.dll files.  It must be something wacky in the .inf.  No, the .inf entries more or less match with mine.
I'm wondering if there's something else going on.
Can you build yourself a test pack using the stock nvidia notebook drivers here: http://www.nvidia.co.uk/object/notebook … er-uk.html
If not, I can build it later today when I get home from work.
Let us know the outcome.

I don't think so.  I have tethering available on my HTC Desire and I believe that the driver is loaded from the SD card when the phone is connected to the PC automatically.  No need to have it available during install (for security, PCs should be removed from any network until fully patched and A/V loaded and updated).

Well I don't know what to tell you.  My motherboard works perfectly fine using the new drivers under BartPE (UBCD4win 3.6)
Drivers used: 01/14/2011,5.782.0114.2011

There must be something odd with how you're building your source.

My Gigabyte board has the HWIDs:
PCI\VEN_10EC&DEV_8168&SUBSYS_E0001458&REV_01
PCI\VEN_10EC&DEV_8168&SUBSYS_E0001458
PCI\VEN_10EC&DEV_8168&CC_020000
PCI\VEN_10EC&DEV_8168&CC_0200

The only difference between mine and yours is the &REV_02 (The rev_02 is not supported by R4).  Mine works perfectly fine on a new build of UBCD4win.
What motherboard make and version do you have?

Hmmm, I'm wondering if there's a conflict between the desktop drivers and the notebook drivers.  I merged the two together to save space.
I'll check both hashes of each nvcuvenc.dll

Interesting.  The SHA-1 of the DP_MassStorage_wnt5_x86-32_1101\D\M\H5\HPTMV6.sys doesn't match the .cat file.
Symantec EndPoint Protection doesn't detect anything.  I'm sure it's harmless.
I'm downloading the driver directly from HighPoint to verify.
Downloaded driver from here: http://www.highpoint-tech.com/BIOS_Driv … rr222x.htm
The .cat file in the XP folder from the HighPoint website isn't even valid! sad
Oh well, at least it's a direct replacement of the older one and shouldn't cause any problems.
This will be fixed in dpms 11.02

BTW, why are you using such an old version of DriverPacks BASE?
