Topic: BartPE error with DP_LAN_wnt5_x86-32_1101

Good day! I am using DP_LAN_wnt5_x86-32_1101 with bartpe, network starts automatically and on my realtek pcie integrated nic i receive a message with title of "bartpe.exe drive a: not ready" and buttons cancel, retry, continue. I have to press any button four times and then network starts. Problem has been resolved when i deleted files in folder R4 and used old realtek driver 5.736 07/28/2009 for BartPE
How can i fix this problem?

Re: BartPE error with DP_LAN_wnt5_x86-32_1101

Posting your HWIDs would be a good start.  I'm not going to delete an entire folder just because one user has a problem.  I may be able to weed out one HWID from the .inf though if it's duplicated elsewhere.
Your HWIDs are key.

Re: BartPE error with DP_LAN_wnt5_x86-32_1101

Good day! My nic is Realtek RTL8168C(P)/8111C(P) PCI-E Gigabit Ethrenet NIC
Hwids:
PCI\VEN_10EC&DEV_8168&SUBSYS_E0001458&REV_02
PCI\VEN_10EC&DEV_8168&SUBSYS_E0001458
PCI\VEN_10EC&DEV_8168&CC_020000
PCI\VEN_10EC&DEV_8168&CC_0200

I have already used latest drivers from Realtek (5.780.1228.2010), but problem the same
Old working drivers, unfortunately, does not support RTL8168E
And in "full" WinXP SP3 new drivers works without any "bad" windows

Re: BartPE error with DP_LAN_wnt5_x86-32_1101

Well if the newer drivers don't work in PE, then just remove the folder for now.
As an alternative, you can edit the DriverPack LAN .ini and remove the semicolons from the [r4] section like this:

[R4]
; BartPE Code
ms_count	 	= 1
ms_1_tag 	= "R4_realtek"
ms_1_sysfile 	= "Rtenicxp.sys"
ms_1_exc_skipIfOS="wxp,w2k3"

Re: BartPE error with DP_LAN_wnt5_x86-32_1101

Ok, i will try this. New realtek drivers works in bartpe, but i have to press any button four times.
My old working drivers (just in case, without any bad windows in BartPE) http://rapidshare.com/files/445916717/R … D_WORK.zip

Re: BartPE error with DP_LAN_wnt5_x86-32_1101

ms_1_exc_skipIfOS   ="wxp,w2k3"

the above code marks the entire R4 folder to be skipped for windows XP and windows 2k3

(which means excluded for bartpe since it only supports xp and 2k3)

[R4]
; BartPE Code
ms_count	 	= 1
ms_1_tag 	= "R4_realtek"
ms_1_sysfile 	= "Rtenicxp.sys"

enabled for XP and 2K3 (Fully enabled) for BartPE

=====================

[R4]
; BartPE Code
ms_count	 	= 1
ms_1_tag 	= "R4_realtek"
ms_1_sysfile 	= "Rtenicxp.sys"
ms_1_exc_skipIfOS   ="wxp"

Disabled for XP in BartPE

=========================

[R4]
; BartPE Code
ms_count	 	= 1
ms_1_tag 	= "R4_realtek"
ms_1_sysfile 	= "Rtenicxp.sys"
ms_1_exc_skipIfOS   ="w2k3"

Disabled for Windows 2003 in BartPE

=================================

[R4]
; BartPE Code
ms_count	 	= 1
ms_1_tag 	= "R4_realtek"
ms_1_sysfile 	= "Rtenicxp.sys"
ms_1_exc_skipIfOS   ="wxp,w2k3"

Completely Disabled for BartPE = IIRC the last one is read the same as:

;[R4]
; BartPE Code
;ms_count	 	= 1
;ms_1_tag 	= "R4_realtek"
;ms_1_sysfile 	= "Rtenicxp.sys"
;ms_1_exc_skipIfOS   ="wxp,w2k"

Re: BartPE error with DP_LAN_wnt5_x86-32_1101

My Gigabyte board has the HWIDs:
PCI\VEN_10EC&DEV_8168&SUBSYS_E0001458&REV_01
PCI\VEN_10EC&DEV_8168&SUBSYS_E0001458
PCI\VEN_10EC&DEV_8168&CC_020000
PCI\VEN_10EC&DEV_8168&CC_0200

The only difference between mine and yours is the &REV_02 (The rev_02 is not supported by R4).  Mine works perfectly fine on a new build of UBCD4win.
What motherboard make and version do you have?

New version of Realtek from Gigabyte: http://www.gigabyte.com/products/produc … l=1#driver

Well I don't know what to tell you.  My motherboard works perfectly fine using the new drivers under BartPE (UBCD4win 3.6)
Drivers used: 01/14/2011,5.782.0114.2011

There must be something odd with how you're building your source.

Use InfCacheBuild too http://www.911cd.net/forums//index.php?showtopic=21226

Re: BartPE error with DP_LAN_wnt5_x86-32_1101

I use InfCacheBuild. But why this old drivers works in BartPE without any "bad" windows? And why exactly four times i have to press in window (reference really to drive a or simply bug?)

Does driver *.inf contain CopyFiles lines at your BartPE?

Does old driver does not use CoDeviceInstaller?
Does new driver use CoDeviceInstaller?
