Just tried the driverpack when I was reinstalling my system. I got a SI3112 sata raid on my system. 2x250gb in raid0 but the install used si3112 file insted of si3112r and cause of that it found my harddrive as 2 drives insted of one. So i booted up my original install disc and used a floppy and selected si3112r driver and it worked. THe installation found it as 1 disc with ~500gb.

So dunno if its a prob with the windows install or maybe something in the driverpack. Just thought it might be something to report.

Please post the HWID of your 3112r controller.

Carefully checked every entry again. Is fixed in 6.08.4 (which is not yet finished).

This is not the correct log... This one just shows the initializing of the GUI and closing of the program. Please upload the correct one. Also please post your DPs_BASE.ini.

Wel, I guess that the Sigmatel HDA needs an update too then, to work properly... And 'DriverPacks DoLor'? Is it that bad? sad

Why so long?

Not if he's using method 1 wink

@s4t3j: I'll add an automatical timeout in the next version. Don't know when I'll add an option to disable it, but won't be immediately.

Hey guys are any of u running a Raid setup ????

I've think i found a bug with the raid set up, if i set up raid 0 everythink load great once windows is up and running everythink runs geart all drivers are there (apart from the DP) but it won't shut down i have to turn the power off to the puter............ no........ but when using the same disc but takin the driver out of raid, everything work's great shutdown the lot...

Bâshrat the Sneaky iknow your goin to ask for the  DPsFnshr.log but i forgot to copy it ... aaarrrrhhhh ..... so if no else has had the problem, then i guest i'll reload winxp again to get the log ..

my system
AN8 nForce 4 ultra
WD2500js x 2 raid 0
Gecube x800gt
Opity 146 @ 2.6

You deleted the DPsFnshr.log?

Is that where the log ended, coreytk? It ends at the 2nd of a total of 3 commands for that exception...

I think it's due to the ATICCP exception, which does not properly end itself, and keeps file locks on the temporary folder, which prevents me from deleting it. Therefore I've built in a test that waits until the directory is available to be deleted again. I'll change that. The strange thing is that it does work on my test system...

Could you also post the driver version you're using?

Thanks smile

@mp3login: reproduced and fixed.

Summarized: newer devices are not supported by the old driver. The old driver does work though. But only when using DriverPack Sound B 6.03.4.

CONCLUSION
Revert the slipstream method back to the one of 6.03.4. But it has not changed! Only entries have been added... And now with the new driver: no changes.

BAM reported that the newer driver DOES work when slipstreamed with nLite. So BAM, could you please upload that txtsetup.sif file?!

Please post your DPsFnshr.log.

Huh? Please post your DPs_BASE.ini, DPsFnshr.ini and DPsFnshr.log then. Tried it here and it works just fine.

I also think it's rather driver-related than DriverPack Sound B-related. You *are* using the latest DriverPack Sound A (6.08), right? Please post your DPsFnshr.log (which includes your hwids! wink).

Sorry. No attachment mod today:

The attachment mod has NOT been activated. It forced me to set the permissions for EACH user group and EACH forum, that would be around 120 different permissions to set. Definitely a no-go, then. I'll update the code myself so I can adminster this more easily.

I don't have these latest drivers (yet). Don't have the time to make this pack, so feel free to create it.

Exactly... that's the whole reason for the existence of this forum wink

Your IP was blocked. Unblocked it now.

Are you behind a proxy or are you using a school network or something? Your IP showed an excessive amount of download requests, so I had blocked it.

I'll try to reproduce it.

EDIT

I thought I had read '6.08.3'... I'm glad that was wrong. I can confirm that if you downloaded the DriverPack Sound B in the first two hours after the release, then you'll have this bug. But after that, you won't wink I've mentioned this somewhere else on the forum too, by the way wink

@benners: If you have only one I386 directory, then you should use regular disc mode. But I'm afraid your winnt.sif files won't get updated both. Where are they located? And are there other files that are moved from their regular location?

Changelog
- 0000168: [GUI] major typo on the About page (BashratTheSneaky)
- 0000182: [GUI] When set DriverPacks="all", then error occurs while trying to slipstream 3rd party DriverPacks, which don't exist (BashratTheSneaky)
- 0000184: [slipstreamer] Spaces after "="-sign in winnt.sif (BashratTheSneaky)
- 0000187: [slipstreamer] KTD: if KTD set to "all", then KTD is set in DPsFnshr.ini to "" (BashratTheSneaky)
- 0000188: [DriverPacks Finisher] When ATI X series Mobility device is present, ATI CCC/CCP is NOT being installed. (BashratTheSneaky)

Known issues
-multibootDisc support is UNTESTED. Please test so I can make the necessary improvements and bugfixes.
-nForce 3 LAN not yet working, DriverPack LAN update on the way...
-When you've got a certain Windows XP version (not isolated to a specific one yet), then the original svcpack.inf file is encoded in UCS-2 Little Endian. Whenever you use DriverPack Sound A, KB888111 and KB913425 will be slipstreamed and then svcpack.inf will have to be updated. But Windows fails to convert the original encoding to ANSI, and the result is a CORRUPT svcpack.inf! I'm try to find a decent conversion method.

Remarks
-Documentation later! Just use it as-is now. It's all pretty self-explanatory...
-ONLY THE GUI IS TRANSLATED. The strings in the slipstreamer are to be followed, the code is already there!
-The included Italian and Turkish translations are not compatible, they will result in a crash!
-You NEED DriverPack MassStorage 6.08, if you want to use DriverPack MassStorage. Older versions are NOT compatible.
