Yes, we need the full HWID list.  Just run the HWID tool linked in my signature.
As I suspected, your DEV ID changed when you switched to IDE mode.  And you'll be using the drivers from M\I5 instead (cougide.inf or couide2.inf).
Now, I also suspect that you're running into a similar problem that others have reported with different Intel IDE drivers which the two above use either PCIIDE.sys or INTELIDE.sys respectively.
Please post the relevant section of your %SystemRoot%\setupapi.log or if you don't know what to look for, post the setupapi.log to a site like www.pastebin.com

No, I know why it's not working.
Try this: http://www.mediafire.com/file/8b8uedh76dh25jh/XPx32.7z
It's not signed, but it should work.

Your HWID is supported for 2003 server, but not XP.  I modded the .inf to directly support your HWID under XP.
Once you confirm it works, I'll mod the newer driver in the DriverPack LAN currently in our underground testing bunker. wink

I have DP_Monitor_wnt5_x86-32_90808 and DP_Monitor_wnt5_x86-32_908130 if you want them.
Let me know for certain and I'll upload them to my mediafire page.

So you're saying that you tried this HP driver and it didn't work?
All drivers for your laptop: Here:

We definitely need your HWIDs.

Updated Ralink RT2860 & Ralink RT2870 from your links for v11.08r1

Just so you know, I'm updating Br0 again from the above post.  Please test the next 11.08r1 on your "problem child" when I'm done building it.

Implemented for the next release of DriverPack WLAN (11.08 or 11.09)

This is added for the next DriverPack WLAN release (11.08 or 11.09)

A newer version already exists in \D\W\TO\

I'm adding the below Win7 driver to the HP series in the next DriverPack WLAN.
http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/soft … p;sw_lang=
The .inf has an XP section so it should work fine.

Is this still a problem?  A new DriverPack WLAN has been released since your last post.

You had posted this in the Win7 area.  Moving to BartPE section...

Please post a link to drivers that work.
Also post your HWIDs so we can confirm the fix.

Cool, thanks for the confirmation that the driver works.
What you just described is contained in DP_Chipset_wnt6-x64_1108\x64\C\Intel\MEI\2\
Marking as "solved".

You did not respond, so your requested drivers were not added to 11.08.
Please respond with a link to drivers that work.
Also post your HWID list so that we can confirm the fix.

Mr,

I will test these packages and I'll put the results!

Results?

What are the HWIDs when the controller is switched to "Compatibility" (meaning IDE) mode in the BIOS?
AHCI?  RAID?
We need all the HWIDs to make sure we get this fixed properly.

All the appropriate duplicated HWIDs are fixed in 11.08.1b1 (and b2).  These will be in the next major release.

Is this still a valid bug?  This thread is pretty old.
This device should be supported in v11.08 DriverPack Sound B \D\S\I\STHDA.INF
The driver in that folder was released 11 months AFTER the last post in this thread.

Please confirm so we can close this thread or work towards a fix.

@k421k1 can you confirm that this fixes your problem?

Just a note that this is still not fixed in release 11.08.
...working on a better solution.

Those drivers you linked to are already in dpms 11.08, you're not doing yourself any favors by tinkering with the pack.  They're identical.
Your best bet (and best performance) is to set the drive controller from IDE mode to AHCI mode.  In IDE mode, the new RST drivers from M\I9 aren't used because the HWID changes based on mode.  You'll be using the drivers from M\I5 instead (cougide.inf or couide2.inf).

Bingo, the Extracting of the drivers manually let me get the one I needed it was the HECIx64.sys, which is I belive what you had stated. Everything is up and running now. Thank you very much for your time and expertise!

Wow, it worked?  Hmmm.  That doesn't sound good for Intel if little ol' me can write a better .inf than their engineers. cool
I guess now I'll get requests to fix the rest of them too.  Yay, more work for me.
