Hello & welcome to Driverpack's!

That company was acquired by Universal Scientific & is now known as Universal Abit (Wiki).

I'm wondering if you had disabled EIST in BIOS, as described here.  This is likely only necessary if you encounter a "DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL" blue screen.

Also wondering if you have the latest BIOS installed.  http://abit.ws/page/en/download/downloa … YPE=LGA775 for example.
I cannot confirm that this is indeed the latest, nor vouch for it's validity.
If you are not familiar with BIOS updates, perhaps skip this as failure can mean the 'bricking' of your mobo.

The IDE & SATA driver disks are available here --> http://abit.ws/page/en/download/downloa … YPE=LGA775

Here are newer Vista drivers from Windows Update CatalogThese drivers may help if those don't work.
And above you will see a pair of experimental packs.  Please post your HWID's with your reply.

I am not personally familiar with any UPEK product or driver.  Is it not Authentec that is supplying the newer drivers?  Was "enroll.exe" licensed from another entity?

They were apparently bitter rivals not long ago.  http://articles.orlandosentinel.com/201 … fringement

If only Melbourne-based Authentec could do for (formerly?) California-based UPEK's drivers what Qualcomm seems to have done for Atheros & their (formerly) poor network drivers (incl. WiFi).  Now it seems somewhat desirable to have Atheros networking hardware!

Now that this has become public, one could anticipate some change.  Whether that is good or bad, someday perhaps you will tell me.

Edit:  Until then; "Mythbusters" myth-busting conclusion plausibly busted!

I count 20 files, in 4 folders for 3.05 MB uncompressed.  I can indeed understand your reluctance; however.

This is a program by Halfdone Development.  The executable remains unchanged from the author's original 'Beta'.  I have updated the device lists from Ray Hinchliffe's SIV program.  All rights remain theirs, respectively.

edit: link removed - updated below

Bear in mind that the first small table of information concerning chipset will be inaccurate for newer hardware.
(The chpsdevs.txt hasn't been updated by bootzilla since 2009-11-27)
Also, the Product Key identification doesn't work properly for NT6.x

Could the HID pack be made the repository for Consumer Infrared Receivers? (unlike IRDA)
If so, there are a few drivers in DP_Misc_wnt5_1201 that would fit the bill of "HID".

We can do stuff with your stuff 'to the extent necessary'

"Microsoft has tweaked its fine print so it can reuse its users' photos, emails and chat messages to polish its online services.

The new terms-of-use agreement was rolled out late last week. It grants Microsoft the right to use information gathered from Hotmail, Photo Gallery, Office.com and SkyDrive accounts in a manner it sees fit to “improve the services with new features that makes them easier to use”. Before, the software giant had simply reserved the right to handle punters' content to provide a service.

It is reminiscent of Google's terms'n'conditions shake-up that brought users of its individual services under one roof, in terms of privacy and data sharing, so that the advertising giant could tap into a wealth of information on each punter.

Microsoft's updated red tape also extends the policy first introduced to Windows in May that bans customers from banding together to form class-action lawsuits against the company.""

So long and thanks for all the lost emails, & consistently sharing my personal info against my wishes!
Had previously wondered why some were asking me why Hotmail was rifling through their emails & pointing out some that Hotmail believed important.  sad

Here's some possibilities that could be debated &/or considered:

a)  Instead of "Version", could that column be called "Version/Date"?  (for the 'newbs)

b)  How about a request for the removal of the Monitors package, too?  (reason --> obsolescence)
They are only useful AFIK to those with non-standard cables (no I2C comm. for EDID), and even then auto-detection is not likely.  Some .Inf files are out of date and several may have inaccurate timings (esp. LG - if included).  Also, many color profiles are using the XP model for color info, rather than the newer profiles - possibly causing problems where there were none before.  Most modern displays can correctly use the sRGB profile (incl. w. Windows - probably 8 too, not sure of standard supported though).  If that profile is utilized, the display's menu settings should reflect the relevant color profile.  .Reg files are an alternative way to install custom timings without breaking driver signing (esp. HDMI 1.4 passthru via HDMI 1.3 A/V receiver - from what i've read).

c)  on XP_x86, i receive a "Error" window stating "no internet detected, closing." as i type this (executed from drive D; the %systemroot% is C:\WINDOWS).  I note that you make no claims to XP compatibility.  If it's the torrent module (&/or security) that is at issue, could the program have the internet features disable-able?
None of the DP's in the same folder are detected as 'local', BTW.   hmm

Thank you again for your consideration & community support (that goes for you too, mr_smartepants)!

"Maurice said that the vulnerabilities patched only affect Java running in browsers, and not standalone desktop Java applications or Java running on servers. According to Oracle's official advisory on the flaws:

These vulnerabilities may be remotely exploitable without authentication, i.e., they may be exploited over a network without the need for a username and password. To be successfully exploited, an unsuspecting user running an affected release in a browser will need to visit a malicious web page that leverages this vulnerability. Successful exploits can impact the availability, integrity, and confidentiality of the user's system.

That certainly matches the description of the vulnerabilities first spotted on a rogue website by security firm FireEye on Sunday. Exploits for the flaws have since been incorporated into the notorious Blackhole malware toolkit and the Metasploit penetration testing tool.

On Wednesday, Adam Gowdiak of Polish startup Security Explorations revealed that his company had disclosed details of the vulnerabilities in question – along with 29 others – to Oracle in April of this year, but that the database giant still had not fixed the flaws as of its June Critical Patch Update (CPU).

Oracle told Security Explorations that it had developed fixes for most of the other vulnerabilities it had submitted and that they would be ready for the next Java CPU. Unfortunately, however, that patch kit wasn't scheduled to be released until October 16."

Consider donating to DriverPacks.
You might agree that this would assist the founders of DP's (not I, BTW).
They are truly underpaid and overworked in general.  (Well, that is, except for Wim???  lol)

It takes valuable time to prepare any sensible response,
as i see that you have wisely invested some of your valuable time to request feedback.
