Thanks.  The dpms .ini scan is not critical.  It only affects dpms.  With XP development winding down, this isn't really a priority.
BTW, I ran into this problem again last weekend.
This time, it's DP_Sound_A_wnt5_x86-32_1109b1\D\S\R\HDASRSA.inf that's causing the problem.  Odd since it only has around 200 HWIDs.  Must be something other than HWIDs causing the problem.

Let us know when you get some helpful info.

Hmmm, that should work.  I ran into the "spaces" bug yesterday while testing new KTD functionality but I didn't have time to pursue it further.
Thanks.

Follow the instructions here: http://forum.driverpacks.net/viewtopic.php?id=5
The root folder MUST be D, not M.

Post a link to the LAN drivers you want to add and if they're not already incorporated into DriverPack LAN then I'll add them.

Yes, I've had that since 22 Sep but they borked the installer so it can't be disassembled easily.  I don't have time to mess with it.

OS source? HWIDs?

Thanks for confirming.  Yes, we always recommend that you use the official DriverPacks (and graphics Third Party DriverPacks) ONLY for integrated discs.  Use SAD2 for all DriverPacks & Third Party DriverPacks during post-install (not affected by bug).
That works perfectly.

Ooooh, NICE! smile

That's WAY too many Third Party DriverPacks!  I'd bet money that's your problem.
If you're just removing DriverPacks from a built .iso, then just open the .iso in poweriso or magiciso (or similar) then delete the Third Party DriverPacks and rebuild the .iso then burn to dvd-rw and retest.
If the disc "sees" your HDD on the Intel controller and it allows you to begin the install but then BSOD AFTER the restart, then it sounds as if you're overloading the disc with all the DriverPacks and Third Party DriverPacks will cause this problem.

Yes, we need to know if you still get the BSOD with all the Third Party DriverPacks removed (I'd recommend ONLY the dpms and Chipset on the disc for testing).

I have filepath issue again when use all officiel drivers and other 5 3rd packs sad

I think modem and webcams packs are so big now.

The filepath problem only affects the current builds of DriverPacks BASE.  SAD and SAD2 utilities are unaffected.
Jeff's right, once we get the new devpath built it will solve all our problems. smile

The drivers you tried from my link I downloaded from here: HP link
They're branded as Vista 32-bit but there's no reason why they won't work in XP (which you just proved).  I'll add these to DriverPack Sound B.
Thanks for reporting.

As to your skype question.  Off-topic.  But skype uses an automatic gain control in their microphone controls to prevent feedback loop between the speakers and external microphone.

so the driver loads OK but you get no sound?

Try this: http://www.mediafire.com/file/ca4xdrgg1 … io-test.7z
Extract to a folder, go to device manager and for the "found new hardware" wizard, point to that folder.  Or update manually by selecting the audio device in device manager and "update driver" then point to that folder.
Report back results please.

1, I'm using 1105005, still current? I don't see new on Page 1

2, How about allowing me to keep the drivers, I think it worth the disk cost as a backup, I tried editing the batch file but without success.

1) Technically no.  I updated my own copy and forgot to update the first post. sad  Oops.

:: Changelog:
:: v110713
:: Fixed code to prevent errors during cleanup stage (Erik Hansen)
:: Added code to report accurate CPU type (Erik Hansen)
:: Added code to detect DP_*.7z files in the current directory (Erik Hansen)

2)Excellent idea.  I'll add it in and update the first post over the weekend after testing.

BTW, the new thread is over here --->: http://forum.driverpacks.net/viewtopic.php?id=5336

Outstanding.  Thanks to you both for working with us to confirm the fixes.
Marking as solved...

Yes, MOST.  Not all.
There are overlapping HWIDS, but a combination of I, I2, I3 & I9 (excluding I5) would cover all the Intel controllers.

I think that those .inf files only show problems when sysprep is used.  They don't cause any problems for XP normally because the driver typically used for the Mass Storage portion is supplied by D\M\I9 (Intel RST 10.6 driver).
The .inf files in D\M\I5 (no .sys files are present) are used by the board chipset for identifying the components.

Glad it's fixed.  This is another reason why I keep QSC disabled.  I have a fast quad-core CPU, so QSC saves me a few seconds but keeping it disabled saves me from headaches like yours. wink

No need for an external torrent site.  What you need is already available on our "Donate" page.

Look near the bottom for the option.

2. The other option is that you manually download an archive with all our .torrent files from time to time: torrents.tar.gz.

I found out the sound packs 907rc1 and also the newest nightlies 90903 dont work with Sound Blaster Live. But the release Sound A 805 does.
I didnt have internet access on this machine to get your hwid tool so I just wrote the IDs down:

PCI\VEN_1102&DEV_0002&SUBSYS_80271102&REV_06
PCI\VEN_1102&DEV_0002&SUBSYS_80271102
PCI\VEN_1102&DEV_0002&CC_040100
PCI\VEN_1102&DEV_0002&CC_0401

Also for another pc wil you add drivers for the following devices to the new sound release please? Some time ago I tried the 8.05 releases but didnt work.

This should be fixed in a future version DriverPack Sound A 11.09b1
I restored the missing files to D\S\CR3 (closest match).

Implemented in future 11.09b1 DriverPack Sound B

Added
Xc\ Conexant "Venice" High Definition Audio (ThinkPad R61) DriverVer = 09/27/2007, 3.38.0.52

I have a SB Live CT4870 PCI you can have.  I cant find any 64x drivers for it.

Thanks. But there's nothing wrong with the Live drivers.  They haven't changed in years and work fine.  Their XFi and Audigy drivers are a mess.

You've tried the x64 drivers here?:

download

I would like someone to donate/loan to me any Creative sound cards (XFi, Audigy, etc) so that I can finally fix the DriverPack Sound A pack.
I think Creative drivers are garbage and I refuse to pay for their hardware just for testing purposes.
PCI or PCI-Express cards welcome.
Cards will be returned to owner upon successful test completion.
