What if I just removed the zipped packs?
Can you say "BOOM!"
Your question is not very clear not sure how to help you
sorry.
I'm not sure of everything that gets changed - its very complicated - I have only learned the certain aspects of it i needed to code the BartPE stuff.
helmi, Bâshrat the Sneaky, or one of the more veteran members may jump in here with a list and instructions.
I think it is easier to start over and if you are really curious use some software to compare the before and after folders of your driverpacks install all the files that are changed after the slipstream from the original are the ones you need to restore.
the best hint i can give you is i know the original files are backed up by the base. so if you sort the folder by date the most recently changed come to the top. like winnt.sif get renamed to WINNT.ORG
pretty much all the files changed are copied and the originals are renamed to .ORG
Again i really think its easier to start over (maybe if you used RyanVM integrator you would too. ![]()
rerun driverpacks it will see the old driverpacks install remove it and reintegrate.
however i would pull my xp-sp2-rvm-nlite folder make a copy and run clean driverpacks install.
There are several hundred lines (maybe a thousand) to remove from txtsetup.sif too
and other files - you should be able to find the backed up originals. (sort by date hint hint)
i can fit my xp install with RVM nLite and driver packs on a CD - you should be able to as well.
It's MUCH easier to to start over than to back out all the changes.
(you could just hang a dvd on the system?)
Extra hint i make a new folder at each stage of the process.
i have my clean source folder. (OEM XP)
i have a SP2 Source folder (OEM XP + SP2)
I have a folder for after RVM (XPSP2 + RVM)
This is the main folder i copy to use for a source for nlite and driverpacks (yes i copy the whole thing)
the XPsp2-rvm-nLite folder is now copied to a new folder for the driverpacks slipstream.
This uses quite a bit of disk space but you can see how it would have saved your butt here.
Jaak! You da man.
ernesta I emailed you the older mass storage you requested.
Personaly I recomend you try jaaks test packs so we can solve this issue for others as well.
As jack pointed out the driverpacks team only has a limited amount of hardware to test on (our personal machines)
it is only with the feedback of users like yourself we can truely test our packs and make sure they work as they should for all of the currently supported hardware (packs).
Can someone point me where I can find earlier version of the MassStorage driverpack? I'm looking for version 7.06.1 throu 7.06.7. Just on in those version interval.
shoot me an email. use my link to the left
@helmi
Duplicate post
This one is also in the wrong forum - since it's a bartpe issue and not a slipstream issue
well slipstreaming the driverpack into the source OS will not help you. sorry.
if you wish to use the driverpacks with bartpe then you need to create a plugin and build PE with the plugin enabled.
Sorry there are not directions readily available.
you need to choose BartPE instead of Disk on the platform screen when you run the driverpacks.
then you need to build your bartpe checking in pe builder that the mass storage plugin is there and enabled.
build your bartpe.
test and BAM works like a charm or at least we havent heard of a single glitch in 6 months.
PS there is a thread started for this already.

LOL... well yeah!
We are all volunteers...
there is never enough time... I think most of us do this instead of sleeping at night.
I spent at least a hundred hours codeing the bartpe plugin this winter.
I am a computer consultant - self employed - and work full time (and definately not rich)
I think we are hard core users who reconize the need to work as a group to make life easier for us all.
commitment if you will.
Me too... and i dont have Bâshrat the Sneaky's Phone number (not that i would call him at 2am - tee hee.
Ill check the server and see if somebody blew up the php code.
the files are all accessable and look valid it must be a hosting / mirror issue.
good thing AAAAA is not an acronym...
hey if i would have been thinking i could have set the workstations at a few of my bigger clients to vote (scripted into thier logon scripts).... rats I'm to slow.

Can you supply a link to the driver?
NM - I found it http://www.highpoint-tech.com/BIOS_Driv … 2-0201.zip
Device Driver supports Windows 2000, XP, 2003 and Win XP/2003 x64 Edition
rocket raid is included in the packs what is your HWID?
the proper way to solve this is to submit your HWID's and request a driver
(hopefully in the mass storage section of the forum)
ummm SCSI and SAS? tee hee
cdob you are the man! Thanks again!
dsfcom Looks like you have several options to choose from and some basic instructions to modify the infs (which may not be needed). Let us know which one was the fix so we may help others, as i hope we have helped you.
It sounded that way to me too... but just so everyone knows, we were having fun with it...
the last time that HWID came up this was the driver that worked http://cdgenp01.csd.toshiba.com/content … 06203a.exe
Link updated. sorry! cdob has it in his post below as well....
thanks cdob!
So Muiz got some freinds to vote
we knew it was happening
and had every opportunity to "Rally the Troups"
It's all good fun!
method 2 has better compression and takes less space it also allows the driverpack to work completely
Method one will only use the first 4096 characters of the search path
method 2 will allow a full search path (currently in the 6000 to 7000 character range) of the driver packs
if you slipstream the driverpacks most likely your f6 driver will fail its a known MS bug related to the oempreinstall=yes in winnt.sif
a setting which is necessary for driverpacks
