Jeff

the 3rd party DriverPack ftp site is at everyones disposal... even general dogsbody's big_smile lol

thanks for the generous offer, and your time to create it and post.

Jeff

Done... Welcome to the team
Please find that the previously hidden team forum is now visible to you!

have you tried the DriverPacks already?

what version of base and packs. DPs_BASE.log is prefered.

can you psot the HWIDs of the devices?

links to the known working drivers is considered polite...

please review "Read BEFORE you post" in my signature wink

Welcome to DriverPacks, we look forward to assisting you.

Have a great day!

We all wish you the very best of luck!

Be sure to let us know if you find one,
you could save countless others who may find themselves in your situation big_smile

have a great day

Jeff

Wow those are very cool...

One question...
how did the WYSE terminal sneak in there?
WYSE terminals don't need DriverPacks ... LOL

LOL - would you like access to the testing team forum?

(offers a tissue) wink tongue

-(hold up your right hand)-
You must promise to not use test packs in production machines, except in a dire emergency!

Please use code tags when appropriate TY

We Add drivers when they are repoerted as missing by a user who provides the links to them.

We can not find drivers for you...

because we do not have the hardware to test to see if they work...
If you find the driver please provide a link to the OEM site.
(not rapid share or other third party host)
Then update your Title to [REQ] and we will then see if it can be added.

you may have some luck googling the compatable HWIDs for your device...
PCI\VEN_1002&DEV_4380&SUBSYS_0184107B&REV_00
PCI\VEN_1002&DEV_4380&SUBSYS_0184107B
PCI\VEN_1002&DEV_4380&REV_00
PCI\VEN_1002&DEV_4380

please read "Read BEFORE you post" in my signature
(IE "all the most recent" is not a valid DriverPacks version description
It also does not describe the options you chose
it also does not tell us what your process was
you failed to mention which XP you tried - home, pro, MCE, OEM, Retail,  or the Service Pack level
[basicaly you told us nothing]
You have provided very little useful info in your very long post wink)
except for the HWID and you could have put that on a single line wink

Please pay particular attention to "Read BEFORE you post" number 4

ALWAYS include in your post
- DPs_BASE.log (from the same directory as DPs_BASE.exe)

that will provide most of the missing info i pointed out above
(and is why it must ALWAYS be included)

Welcome to DriverPacks.

Please take a moment to read the
"Frequently Asked Questions" forum (how to customize mass storage is stickied there)
and other stickied posts like the one in
"Feedback and Support - DriverPacks Base" (READ BEFORE YOU ASK! by Wim Leers - is stickied there)

- testing a driver will be quicker and easier with nLite -
(don't add any other drivers except the the (Single) mass storage driver you are currently testing
don't reuse the same copy of your source, Use a clean OEM disc copy each time)

Thank you

Test packs are intended only for the testing team, unless you are specifically asked to test a certain pack... wink

Attempting to use nightlies without access to the testing team forum (so you can read the change-logs) is not recommended and discouraged.
In fact it is reckless, as you do not know what was added, changed, deleted or upgraded...
Furthermore you don't even know if the pack was even submitted by a "PacksTeam" member or one of the testers.
A testers submission (PackTeam members have to get thier start somewhere) might be fataly flawed... wink
Often times nightlies may also include pre release / beta drivers, which usually are very unstable.

the publicly released packs are the only supported packs for the general public.
Using Beta packs WILL lead to problems...
Especialy if you use them for anything except a test load on a non production (dedicated testing) machine.

When DriverPacks are stable we release them wink if they are not released then they are probably not fit for use on endusers machines...
If we need to have you test a pack you will be invited to do so.
normaly this invitation follows you posting an issue with a certain pack,
I am aware of no issues you (or anyone else) have posted with this pack...
If you have no issues then you don't need a nightly... smile

If you do have an issue, start a post in the correct forum and
report it useing the format outlined in my signature "Read BEFORE you post"

Thanks

now you know why DriverPacks does not support xp 64

(18 replies, posted in Other)

They will probably stop when windows updates no longer supports XP i think i saw that date posted somehwere... i don't remember where... my memory was it was still quite a few years off...

NO... ABSOLUTELY NOT you will destroy your source~!

however you can leave nLite open at the make ISO screen while you run DriverPacks and use nlite after DriverPacks to make your ISO.

if you make ANY changes after DriverPacks AT ALL you will have junk

your best option is to only install the mass storage drivers with nLite.
then manually install the remaining drivers or use the MS dpinst tool (64 bit version) to finish the job wink

guys... you both have fallen short on this one...

mr_s lets have some details about your process wink He can't help if he does not know what you did - just venting is not helpful

Muiz we know mr_s is not an idiot... Lets find out how our advanced users can get lost (and agitated), and see if we can make the proper steps more obvious to everyone. returning his frustration doesn't move us in that direction.

Lets all cool off a little and try to show more patience than I normally do wink tongue

We are a team after all - let's work together!

so you are runnig dpinst.exe directly and not the DP_Inst_Tool?

Are you even useing DriverPacks... if so are you useing the SAD feature, or are you useing the files from a slipstreamed disc?
if you are useing DriverPacks BASE, then please tell us what version. so we may look at the proper version of DP_Inst_Tool

if you need help then we need details wink

Thanks a million RogueSpear... So glad you have been around lately!

PLEASE READ... Aparently my last post went UNREAD...

the one that SAYS   -= Read BEFORE you post =-

In my signature below is A LINK to READ BEFORE YOU POST.

FAILING to read "Read BEFORE you post" and then providing the info in Read BEFORE you post will result in your post being ignored!

Kinda the same way you ignored reading my post, we will then ignore yours.

link to Read BEFORE  you post is in my signature below this line...
(i am half tempted to delete this entire thread... third person in a row who can't read)

there should be DSPdsblr.exe, mute.exe, makePNF.exe an INI file for each pack and DPsFnshr.exe with some other files too... all in %systemdrive% (obviously there should be a folder named \D\ with the extracted packs too! wink

I also assumed that you were useing an unmodified BASE generated SAD folder...
other than the changes mr_smartepants and I suggested.

Please remember the finisher removes all these files so you must look before the finisher runs wink
IE while the file not found error is displayed tongue

I belive your prloblem is related to these files not being extracted properly. I apologize that i can not figure out why they are not being extracted based on the info provided. however the fact that they are not is a clue that perhaps you can use to troubleshoot further and report. If you think of anything you changed or that is unique to this machine please let us know so we may be of assistance!

can you verify that "%SystemDrive%\DSPdsblr.exe" exists?
( I am assumeing that is the file not found issue )

I assumed that you were useing M2... Did I assume correctly?

jeff

Thanks for provideing the feedback it helps everybody!

- are we allowed to ask why now wink -

Glad to be here for you sir!

Attended installs have recieved some interest. Not as much as SysPrep and RIS so they are on the list.

You are Right since i did not disagree i passively agreed wink

big_smile

Being as we do not support attended installs, this is not currently on the todo list...

and is why it is only a third party application and not directly supported by DriverPacks

it's probably related to a duplicated HWID wink
