Topic: [Nightlies] DP_Graphics_A,B,C,D,USB_wnt5_x86-32_1306-1501 - Public

Note that this is for public testing - Not for production use!

Only use at your own risk

This seems mature enough to finally expose what we have been working so hard on.

Many thanks to Babyboy, mr_smartepants, OverFlow, Jaak, & Wim Leers aka Bâshrat the Sneaky,
and all previous contributors, testers and pack developers.

None of this would have been possible without you.

These drivers are for the most part WHQL'ed.
Many configurations will require a restart after achieving the Desktop.

Avoid multi-monitor setups for testing &/or resolutions of 1900x1200 and above.
This may effect most GPU's from any manufacturer as noted by nVidia.
See nVidia's latest Release Notes for clarification.
     also see http://www.asus.com/Graphics_Cards/AH34 … 130C84A968
This doesn't mean "never do this", simply beware the consequences.

Also avoid multi-card setups unless they are identical or by differing GPU manufacturer.
   (ATi=AMD, nVidia, Intel, etc)
One exception would be those identical cards where a driver is already included in NT5 installation media (mostly legacy), as bluescreens may result.  That also effects Sound cards.  Setup with one card of a series is recommended.  Install the second after Setup completes, then add it and allow Windows to autodetect it.
nVidia's PhysX engine may not 'like' multi-card "hybrid" setups though.

Monitor your fan speeds and temperatures.  That is one of your responsibilities.
Some recommendations for "standardized testing" can been viewed here.

Also beware that there may exist Security Vulnerabilities inherent in any of these drivers.
   see http://forum.driverpacks.net/viewtopic.php?id=6712
    and http://support.amd.com/us/kbarticles/Pa … ducts.aspx

In addition to the main Graphics packs A, B & C, ATi-TV & External are compatible with the latest version of SAD3.  The remaining packs are addons for the main Graphics packs.

Note that DP_Graphics_3dfx-ATi_wnt5_x86-32 will be later reincorporated into the main packs.
edit:  Implimented.  DP_Graphics_3dfx-ATi_wnt5_x86-32 is now obsolete.

I have no changelogs as of yet, although they will be included at a later date.
The included contents files may be somewhat out of date at this present time.

Re: [Nightlies] DP_Graphics_A,B,C,D,USB_wnt5_x86-32_1306-1501 - Public

Known Issue:

It would appear that the installation of drivers relating to ATi/AMD's HD-Series cause errors in Event Viewer.
It remains unknown to me the consequences of these errors.

Babyboy has an elegant solution that involves adding both Both KB2538242 & KB2538243 Visual C++ 2k5/2k8 installers to the $OEM$ folder and adding their entries into cmdlines.txt as previously described by OverFlow here.

OverFlow wrote:

"and that your winnt.sif contains at least these lines

[Unattended]
OemPreinstall=Yes
DriverSigningPolicy=Ignore
NonDriverSigningPolicy=Ignore"

CMDLINES.TXT is explained here.
Thank you to mr_smartepants for providing the links to both official VisualC++ installers.

My CMDLINES.TXT:

[commands]
"vc2005SP1_x86_KB2538242.EXE /Q"
"vc2008SP1_x86_KB2538243.exe /Q"

No need to remove DP_Graphics_ATi_Runtimes_wnt5_x86-32_1307121.7z, as the version of DP_Graphics_A listed above contains McRip's Vc uninstall batch scripts.  This was done primarily for SAD3 compatibility.
When achieving the desktop, the newer Visual C++ Runtimes will have been installed, if included.     big_smile

Re: [Nightlies] DP_Graphics_A,B,C,D,USB_wnt5_x86-32_1306-1501 - Public

Another Known Issue:

OpenCL-GPU does not work for HD 7700, 7800 and 7900 Series cards.

AMD wrote:

"AMD Crossfire™, OpenCL, and AMD Eyefinity are not supported by the AMD Radeon™ HD 7900, Radeon HD 7800 and Radeon HD 7700 Series GPUs on Windows® XP. "

For those AMD-ATi Graphics Adapters that require an "override" for proper OpenGL v2.1 Vertex support, navigate to your %windir%\Temp\D\G\A\ directory and install the driver deposited there with DPINST.exe (it will be in a subfolder).

* Note:  DP_Graphics_External_wnt5_x86-32 has been renamed to DP_Graphics_USB_wnt5_x86-32

Note that if you use SAD3 to install these drivers, create a file called ATICCC.ins and put it in your root folder, if you wish the latest ATi/AMD Catalyst Control Center to be installed.
Also, don't attempt install from your Desktop, the path-length will be too long for successful installation.
    Enjoy.     smile

I do not see the official torrect updated since Dec 2012. Are these being maintained? Or do I have to download the nighlies for integration?

Hi,
I have tested a Lenovo E73 with VEN_8086 &DEV 0402 and works fine with this build.

Re: [Nightlies] DP_Graphics_A,B,C,D,USB_wnt5_x86-32_1306-1501 - Public

Thank you, cheche!
That HWID is within ..\D\G\I\1\igxp32.inf though.
These drivers are not written to work with Server2003, BTW (for any concerned).

Is the HDMI audio mod working?  (DP_Sound\In\3\IntcDA2H.inf)

Re: [Nightlies] DP_Graphics_A,B,C,D,USB_wnt5_x86-32_1306-1501 - Public

I try to install VEN_8086&DEV_2807 using DP_Sound\In\3\IntcDA2H.inf and it fail. Complains about the INF of other Builder does not contain digital signature.

Re: [Nightlies] DP_Graphics_A,B,C,D,USB_wnt5_x86-32_1306-1501 - Public

Thank you for the reply.
Is the only failure that of there being no signature for the file, or does audio not function via HDMI in addition to it not being certified?  Have noted that as of yet, it is not coded to work with Windows 2003 like the graphics driver.  It seems logical to verify function (or not) with XP first before adding such non-WHQL support to Server.  If like me, you have yet no HDMI display then any results obtained without such hardware may be moot.  That is OK though.

I need xp driver for this device. It is intel hd graphics 4400 (i3-4130 onboard vga)
PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_041E&SUBSYS_85341043&REV_06\3&11583659&0&10

I can pay $300 via paypal.
if you can mod any inf file and it works for me.

Hello, and welcome to this forum!     smile

Sadly, I cannot even ask for a donation of any hardware toward that end.
That would violate the Forum Rules.

However; if i am able to assist, consider donating to the DriverPacks project.

That having been said, dencorso from msfn seemed to have an answer to your dilemma.

I guess substituting igcodeckrng700.bin and igvpkrng700.bin, as well as igcodeckrng750.bin and igvpkrng750.bin, by the files of the same name from 5441 should fix all the problems reported. Please test this and let me know how did that work for you all."

Have you tried this?

I look forward to attempting to help.  We have a prospective AHCI mod and HD Audio mod.

Re: [Nightlies] DP_Graphics_A,B,C,D,USB_wnt5_x86-32_1306-1501 - Public

No need to apologize, your english is good.

Are you certain you have both 5441 and 5449 packages?
The download link from Intel is the same for both packages, therefore the older package is no longer available via Intel.
    Check igxp32.inf, it should read DriverVer=03/10/2013, 6.14.10.5441.
The newer package reads DriverVer=01/30/2014,6.14.10.5449 on line 27 of that file.

I do understand what was advised by dencorso.
Have you a fresh install of XP on a test machine?
I will post a package for testing as soon as i can.

Re: [Nightlies] DP_Graphics_A,B,C,D,USB_wnt5_x86-32_1306-1501 - Public

I compared those files (igcodeckrng700.bin, igvpkrng700.bin, igcodeckrng750.bin and igvpkrng750.bin) utilizing Nir Sofer's HashMyFiles.
They are bit-identical in all three packages (5441, 5445, 5449).

Perhaps dencorso could enlighten us as to how success was acheived with that method, and what his graphics adapter Hardware ID (HWID) is.
I am not a member of MSFN, so am not able to ask there.

Here is the test pack which includes mods for 5441 & 5449 -->  DP_HaswellTest.7z
It is meant for manual installation via Device Manager.
Start - Run - devmgmt.msc - Display adapters - Intel VGA - Driver tab - Update Driver - No, not this time - Install from a list - Don't search. - have disk
Also included is the mod for HDMI Audio.

If you require the mod for 5445, it is included in DP_Graphics_B_wnt5_x86-32_1401181.7z, available several posts above in the D\G\I\1 folder.

None of these modified drivers are WHQL'ed, so you will see a warning message about the drivers not being certified during installation.
Please let us know if it works or not.

Re: [Nightlies] DP_Graphics_A,B,C,D,USB_wnt5_x86-32_1306-1501 - Public

may thanks for your efforts.
I tried to install driver with have a disk methot and tried both folders.
I still have same error, code 10 device couldn't started

Re: [Nightlies] DP_Graphics_A,B,C,D,USB_wnt5_x86-32_1306-1501 - Public

I see now how dencorso gauged success in his post.  It installed OK.  That doesn't necessarily mean that it didn't have the same (Code 10) problem.

Unfortunately, it would seem that there is little hope that this driver can be made to work for that hardware then.

There are some possibilities that remain.
   1.  One would be that there might be some registry entries missing, or other differences between the NT5 driver and that for Win7/8.x
   2.  Another could be that somewhere in the files that these drivers are referencing are tied to specific HardwareID's (HWID's).
   3.  It is also possible that there are distinct hardware differences between the officially supported Haswell Graphics Adapters and the ones included in my modified .Inf file.  Perhaps a newer stepping or revision?

It is most likely that only possibility 1 can be implemented in these driver packs, as possibility 2 would likely violate Intel's Terms in the license.  Possibility 3 would make any mod next to impossible, other than for Intel themselves.  Also, we don't use modified executables as a matter of firmly established policy.  Only modified .Inf files are permitted for inclusion in the DriverPacks.

erkange, please post a link to the post above over at MSFN for their usage.

I will update the test pack later to include the experimental 5445 version.
It must be removed from the DP_Graphics_B package, even though the other HWID's included in the mod have not yet been tested as far as i know.  5449 will be a little tricky to add yet not impossible, as it is not WHQL'ed & shares HWID's with Gen3.

If or when you have some spare time, i would be grateful if you would agree to test our AHCI driver mod for that chipset.
Anybody that contributes to solutions will be credited in changelogs.

Did the HD Audio mod also install with a (Code 10)?

Re: [Nightlies] DP_Graphics_A,B,C,D,USB_wnt5_x86-32_1306-1501 - Public

There is one other possibility that i have not seen for a long time. Interrupt conflict. try going into BIOS setup and hitting 'restore optimized defaults' and save and exit. if it's a resource conflict this may solve your issue.

worth a shot...

Back in the old days intel would tie the interrupts to specific PCI slots. You would physically have to move a card from one slot to another to resolve resource conflicts. Crazy sad Code 10 = move cards around
