Smoker?
did the control panel of choice install itself properly?
The control panel got installed but as I never set the option I got prompted to decide if I wanted the Basic or Advanced when starting the control panel from both Control Panel and right clicking the desktop.
As I'm not a games player nor do I change any settings as these are set via my WINNT.SIF I don't really bother much with the CP.
If I were to set which CP I want to use where is the setting so that I can test again for you. Will be doing another full install later today got nothing better to do today..

Jeff, what I meant is this...
When I saw I had an issue with ATI CPL on that testrig I installed a mass storage only, and then installed the rest of the drivers with mobo supplied DVD, after which I installed ATI supplied drivers from the gigabyte supplied ATI driver CDROM. (and that graphics CDROM had issues.. I had to get an updated driver from the OEM to make the driver install without error.. I reloaded the mass only -repartition-quickformat- and then used the downloaded driver and this installed the graphics driver without hiccups. And, after that, I did the whole thing all over again, with DriverPack Graphics A /b/c and the rest.. and the ATI CPL does not install automagically yet other drivers are installed correct, save for a Jmicron -tertiary- mass storage which required the Gigabyte mobo supplied installer to get rid of a duplicated Jmicron controller. )
so.. I figure that the litmus 'crapola' makes CPL install fail.
I tested DP RC in dozens of computers and excellent results so far...
Hi Samlab, I hope you can confirm some of those had ATI graphics cards, and that the ATI control panel installed automatically.
So far, the only negative on automatic install I have is MY own negative on a very peculiar combination of hardware, and the control panel SFX installer works when I run it afterward.
Positive feedback helps. Thanks.
If you can give some details what those machines have in them, you will help us even more.
But the first problem where it ever be made - to Windows, the first restart, comes to the emergence of desktop, passes second, there are vertical stripes and a couple of seconds turns off the monitor - after installing a videodrivers was all normal

PS: ATI control panel i remove from DP
I can confirm that the ATI CP installed automatically on an Optiplex 745 witha Radeon X1300. Everything is working great. THANKS!
The build is now 805E with laptop support.
It contains catalyst 8.5 and the unified NV 175.16
It should work, but we want reports (good as well as bad) before we can release.
Hey, did you guys incorporate the AGP hotfix drivers (or rather the INF and reg entries) again?
As the 8.5 Hotfix have been released (http://support.ati.com/ics/support/KBAn … onID=31542), I'm beginning to wonder whether the changes from official drivers to hotfix ones actually do change as the version counter increases or if it's just the same over and over again (meaning no additional work for us regarding this issue).
Still puzzles me when and if ATi will be as graceful to finally incorporate support into the official drivers (not that I mind much if the keep up with the monthly release schedule...).
They was the downloads, the work to be done to them (outlined in revised DriverPacks team private forum), and no more.
This build was done from scratch. I was not using old releases.
but is the Hotfix included?...
Can we expect in the near days of the new DP and particularly interested in the new DP Graphics because 805E as it turned out not very friendly with some nVidia cards
no
Hi,
I'll try to give the best info I can.
On a HP laptop DV9308NR the graphic A805E does work partially.
I mean that it install as a Geforce go 6150 witch is correct but there is a yellow ! on the device and it doesn't work correctly.
Here is the HWID for that laptop :

I hope my post will be helpful for you.
Thanks for the good work to all of you at Driver Pack
laptops are often huge thorns in our sides
There was a time Bâshrat the Sneaky paid per giga download, and now it is per upload..
A split DriverPack Graphics A, split into DriverPack Graphics A desktop and DriverPack Graphics A mobile would 'in theory' be the best choice because company rollouts can choose and combine and every thing would be whql and so on..
We can allow users to push the envelope to a degree, but our time is not paid.
I mean, if every single update makes it so hard on us that we spend many manhours in testing before we dare release a public test...
Mobility drivers (which is like IGP for laptops) are different to desktop IGP and plug in GPU cards.
D\GM\ for lappies
D\G\ for a/b/c
it is a thought like any other.
as an aside.. this just struck me.
We've always 'replaced' packs. When we release a new, we automagically kill the link to older release.
Jeff recently mentioned we should have a quick rollback available to users.
The way we use CDN is not smart.. With content delivery we can indeed have links to older DriverPacks releases available for as long as we don't move them and kill the links.
yes we can leave the files on the server indefinitely...
and we probably should
Stupid question: Are there any special requirements that you need in order to test this pack out...? Like having a graphics card that is in Graphics A?
Erik mailed me a fixed INI and a fixed INF
graphics A 806A testfile June 3rd..
HASH is 006f19ee6f9309526293e80b2d86211d
see post at top.

There is only one stupid question...
The question that is never asked.
Anyone can test it... and we hope they do. PLEASE test!
it is possable that a driver in GA could conflict with a driver in GB or GC - (maybe...)
It is obviously most helpful to hear from people who do have the device. good or bad and their HWID's.
the answer is;
no special requirements
please test and report any problems
if you have the device report your hwid for the device, and if you have success too
Hey, did you guys incorporate the AGP hotfix drivers (or rather the INF and reg entries) again?
As the 8.5 Hotfix have been released (http://support.ati.com/ics/support/KBAn … onID=31542)
I have my own test build on my desktop that incorporates the ATI hotfix. Although, it does nobody any good since I can't upload anywhere!
From what I've been able to determine, there are zero differences with the driver files themselves in the 8.5 Catalyst and the Hotfix. All the differences are in the .inf file (reg entries). These can be safely added by simply adding the hotfix .inf and .cat files to the A1 directory (even though the .cat file is not referenced in the .inf...dumb ATI).
My fix in the .ini was for the GART driver (not included in this test DP) where I mislabeled the tagfile as being in (location 11) C:\Windows\system32\ instead of (location 12) C:\Windows\system32\drivers\ like the .inf points to.
50% nVidia Cards very buggy with 175.16 (805E and 806A)! Resolution not changed, artefacts and others!
huh?
The gart is not in this 806A pack?
806B coming soon.
