Well, CCP and NONE installed the driver for ATI and when I redid that testplank to a plain txtmode only with the Gigabyte dowload, I could only CCC.. or not (which is normal because CCP is a DriverPacks choice no longer available in catalyst). and the CCC then worked.
When I fired up a clean format again (DriverPack MassStorage txtmode only) , and chose to NOT use CCC, the CDrom drivers left a mess, and next format was then done with the dowloaded exe (latest version) and that went well. (it is a form of ati catalyst 8x but specifically dubbed for gigabyte)
I had already figured I fubar'd the dotnet integrate.
(CCC works when I have a good dotnet addon)
So, ATI may work for others.. but I want to get verification. One card is not valid reson to say the testfile worked for the majority.
Absense of error report is no proof.
We do want "bigbrit style".
When it works, Bigbrit says so, and that way we also see what it worked on.
I figure that testers want to learn why positives also need to show the HWID log.
When a main team member sees a BSOD reported, he will focus on that.
Do you want to be the cause of thousands of man hours wasted by not reporting?
Good or bad.
IT Is important
(IT guys know this?)
remember the chipset topic that spun on about negatives for ages .. and then I offered a testpack and asked for positives.
DriverPack Graphics A and B and C are quite complicated.
DriverPack Chipset and DriverPack MassStorage are essentials and have to evolve along with the major players.
The major reason we have not solved this is (in my eyes) the lack of complete database.
I hope we get helpers whom will code scanners or recode scanners.
Ask what we have, it ain't too bad.
The answer was 42?
Kind regards, Jaak.
