Topic: [HELP] DPBase 10.06 "Cannot find DSPdsblr.exe"

I have an OEM XP Home SP2 CD. I used nLite to slipstream SP3, then RVM Integrator to integrate one_piece's AIO pack.

Finally, i used DPBase 10.06 to integrate Chipset 10.05.2 and MassStorage 10.06. This process takes quite a while to complete, as the log below shows.

After burning the finished product to a DVD and proceed to install Windows, the following error comes up when it restarts with the GUI:

"Unable to find the file 7zip" (or similar). Once I press 'OK', it then says it can't find the file DSPdsblr.exe. Pressing 'OK' again, it then keeps asking me to insert the XP CD labelled Windows XP Home Edition SP3. It sounds like what is being described here. The only way I can get the setup to complete, is to put the DVD in another computer, then back into this computer. Once the setup completes, I then get an error message saying that it is unable to find the DPFinish file.

Here is a copy of the DPs_BASE.ini file:

Re: [HELP] DPBase 10.06 "Cannot find DSPdsblr.exe"

Did you test inbetween sessions?  ie, add SP3, test, add updatepack, test, add tweaks, test, add DriverPacks, test.
It's the tried & true method for ensuring error-free integrations.

Re: [HELP] DPBase 10.06 "Cannot find DSPdsblr.exe"

Hi there, yes i have. I can install fine with out the driver packs integrated. Its only when I use the driver packs program and integrate the chipset and mass storage packs that I have the trouble. Its only when I integrate the drivers into a source that I have the problem. Perhaps I need to try the driver packs on a clean XP sp3 source, to see if its anything to do with the add-on packs.

Re: [HELP] DPBase 10.06 "Cannot find DSPdsblr.exe"

Extremely long integration times are usually related to virus scanning software.

the post you linked to is not related ... you are not useing KTD...

It sounds like a bad disc or reader... have you tried to reburn the disc?
did you make ANY changes after you run DriverPacks BASE?
does the OEM folder exist at the root of your disc?
does OEM\bin\un7zip.exe exist? can you run it manually (on your disc)?
does \OEM\bin\DPsFnshr.7z exist? can you open it (on your disc)?

Re: [HELP] DPBase 10.06 "Cannot find DSPdsblr.exe"

Sorry, I linked to the wrong post, this post is exactly what is happening with me.

The OEM folder is in the root directory of the CD, and as well as the two files you mentioned. The only thing I do after running DriverPack Base is make an ISO and burn it to disk using nLite. No other integration or tweaking is done after integrating the drivers.

I am going to try and run the DriverPack Base on a clean SP3 source and see if that makes a difference.

Thank you for your help so far.

Re: [HELP] DPBase 10.06 "Cannot find DSPdsblr.exe"

OK, so I think I found the problem. Burning the ISO onto the DVD at the slowest speed and checking that the files could be accessed before commencing the install process seemed to ensure the install ran smoothly.

Thanks for all the suggestions and help, this is a great and handy program!

Re: [HELP] DPBase 10.06 "Cannot find DSPdsblr.exe"

thought it sounded like a bad reader or burn... Thanks for following up with your results!
