This does sound familiar to the problem I had here - http://www.msfn.org/board/lofiversion/i … 66886.html - but maybe not, but I do recall seeing this issue before.

Great, I'll give it a test in work tomorrow. Good job guys!

AH COOL!!! I see muiz has been busy. smile

Now I believe the latest chipset DP is outdated compared to the latest Intel chipset drivers - could that be the reason why? I believe muiz has already updated it, but if not then I will! smile

Mainly just wondering if anyone had seen this device before!

OSD is a different kettle of fish totally, but I can help you with it as it is what I use.

Reboot loop after imaging basically means:

- Missing boot disk drivers.
- Wrong HAL.

Does that help?

Didn't we fix a problem like this before? I had a Sigmatel 945 system, and it would install without all of the driver files present, but we'd see an issue like this where the control panel applet was greyed out.

I've been away on a business trip, but I'm back now. smile Not to sound too dumb, but how exactly do I go about making changes to the DriverPacks then? smile

64-bit Vista requires signed drivers is one thing. In time a driver pack will be required as it simply won't support hardware release after now!

Ok, I'll keep that in mind also. smile

Not sure what Bâshrat the Sneaky position is this is, but I would always prefer to download them from the vendor rather than a 3rd party site.

I fractured my wrist last year, it was my good right hand also - I found it a real struggle to even use a mouse, let alone type! Hope you get better soon!

I've donated also. smile

EDIT: Gah, you've already changed it. tongue

Couldn't you include it as a build option? Disabled by default?

Do well and I'll donate to the DriverPacks. smile

In answer to your other question, it is not required but it maybe nice as it means Windows identifies everything correctly.

Actually, I do recall a Seagate/Nvidia issue with NCQ.... so perhaps that is a good move!

Although the only reference I could find was with a Maxtor issue...

Try running HD Health from here:

http://www.panterasoft.com/

It'll monitor the SMART stats for your HD, and can warn you if it is about to fail. I've run it for months, useful program.
