hello waht did you want to discuss? the service pack 3 or that driverpacks support xp with sp3?
i have tried it but on xp sp3 driverpack can´t be installed. it say during installation of KB888111 that sp2 must be installed. but all sp are slipstreamed. sp1 and sp2 and sp3. but itt dosen´t work...
any help ?
i will try it with OSC on

figured out that the problem was the massstorage pack 7.09.1 with the 7.09 it works fine... have post it in the other group.
i have figured out that there is something wrong in the driverpack. if i use this driverpack, then textmode install didn´t work. setup can´t find harddrives for install if they connected on the Promise PDC 20276.
with driverpack 7.09 it works..
After update to all the new driverpacks , i can´t installed xp on a mass storage controller, setup didn´t found any drives now.
i used xp with sereby´s updatepack 1791 and nlite..
with the driverpacks befor it works fine and without anyproblem.

i think you must control the rights and permission on your page .. seems to be not correct fr others than you ..
please put them back to driverpack.net and the it works ..
it still dosen´t work.... some other driver packs give the same error, in earlier time all works ...

i wrote several time how i make my xp cd didn´t i?
here again :-(
1. clean german xp sp2 source home or pro
2. then update with sereby´s updatepack with no addon´s only with option delete kb*.cat
3. then i make from this xp-base with nlite the konfiguration
4. now i supply the driverpack.
5. burn cd
get the desktop.ini issue

as i know the desktop.ini files are in every folder , so there are different content, the problem would be that something during KTD would be break the prozess to set the right attributes to them so they are visible. and only in the autostart folder there is the effekt that the file was shown in editor. if you set your folder option so that every file would be shown so you see that there is in any folder in the startupmenu a desktop.ini file.
run this script at the startup of windows

exitthis set the attribs from the desktop.ini files right , but at the first startup it pops up on time , because i didn´t find a way to let run my script in autostartfolder bevor the popup comes.
what is so hard to understand ? why i should every time slipstream the updatepack to test some funktions in nlite ? so i have a base allready slipstreamd with the updatepack and now it is faster for testing new things , because i didn´t slipstream the updatepack again and again ...
for doing this in 2 steps reason is simple: for testing nlite ist saves much time to integrate the updatepack bevor so i have a ready base to start with nlite ..

please look if you have also a desktop.ini in the startupmenues of the current user..
today i recognize that there are also visible desktop.ini files in PROGRAMME, STARTMENU and so on...
all the time we have our eys ion the desktop.ini in th autostart but there are also in the other folders.
seems to be a problem during KTD setup

i integrate serebys´by his own program, than i make konfig with nlite , and then i submit driverpack ,and always get the desktop.ini issue .
always first nlite than driverpack ..
i think i ask for more than one time , how you integrate sereby´s updatepack, and why you didn´t post your konfig here so i can use it to test it on my maschine?
but i wil try it nevertheless because helmi says that the same konfig at him works and at me not . so i do my own test to figure out if it works with all KTD and with not KTD i willnot unpack or half an half driverpacks. only KTD or not anything else make no sense for me to test .
@helmi: you are testing on a virtual pc , i test on a real machine.
and as i so ofte nsay is i change nothing of the konfig only the base ... and with 6.086 i got not the desktop issue and with any base newer than 6.086 i got it. also with home and pro. so no one can say this depends on serebys or nlite or anything else, except on the base..
i will try a base 6.10 KTD all and a base 6.10 not KTD all to see the effects. and then we see if it was base fault or not.
it seems that here many people couldn´t read and are blind.
if this people would read the threads carefully they would know that they wrote sh*t. who ofte n should i say the same?

and with the base 6.086 not ..
why is this so hard to understand ?

this is not the solution!
i want it hasslefree so i used base 6.086 for xp pro and home and it works fine .. i wait for the next base release and then i triy this.
