PS 3rd party DriverPack like physx, languages, runtime and others are NEVER listed. only Main Packs / releases

Thanks OverFlow. I was so confused about those packs when BASE said that and that they weren't even listed on the website for the "latest".
I checked BASE just now and the only one that still says "where did you get that?" is LAN.
ALSO, is there supposed to be an entry for the new graphics_languages and graphics_physx packs in BASE?
Hi, it's been a while since I've used driverpacks and I was wondering about the latest driverpacks. Under the latest, there is no entry for Chipset, Lan, MassStorage, and WLAN. I had the old driverpacks that I used last year and when I ran the updatechecker it said "where did you get that?". Are these 4 packs obsolete now? Thanks.
Stupid question: Are there any special requirements that you need in order to test this pack out...? Like having a graphics card that is in Graphics A?

I know this isn't exactly a super critical feature, but backing up the log files does make things easier (in case you forget to rename the log before you open up BASE). What do you think?

Used the installer and it installed fine. So I guess you have to use the installer?

I have the USR2216 and it doesn't install correctly. I tried a manual install using the inf in the U2 folder and got "An error occurred during the installation of the device. A something(?) installation in this INF is invalid."
I would post the BASE log but it was overwritten when I opened BASE 
(The log files should be backed up, not overwritten in a future BASE 
)
Weird... I'm getting mixed results. Sometimes it wouldn't boot from the DVD, sometimes setup would stop at random places. I did figure out one thing that was wrong though. The partition I wanted to install windows on wasn't large enough to fit all the driverpacks and everything else so setup couldn't possibly complete. Took out the 3rd party driver packs and it installed fine.
I have tried another drive with no luck. Will try and burn another disk (different brand).
Hi guys. Windows installed successfully, so I was curious to see if the original RAM worked or not. It seems to work just fine... So in the end I never did figure out what was wrong
BUT...!!
I thought it was time for a reinstall of windows on my computer now and I got the SAME error!! I don't understand what could be wrong. After the setup files are copied and it reboots, somehow the computer doesn't want to read the dvd drive anymore. It doesn't ask if you want to boot from the CD at all. The drive is listed there in the BIOS though. Thought there might be something loose inside, nope, everything is firmly inserted... I am totally perplexed.
My thought my friend's computer had a virus or something because the computer wanted to reboot right when started so I thought I would reinstall windows. Using the latest BASE and the Md5 checks out for graphics A
I tried a few times and got this error... thought it might be the IDE cable connected to the DVD-ROM. Also put in another video card and RAM with no success. So I took out the video card, DVD-ROM, HDD and put it in my working computer to see if it would work (the RAM wasn't compatible with my computer). XP installed successfully, so it's not those three, I presume...
Put everything back into the computer but taking out the original RAM and replacing it with another. Currently testing to see what happens.
If it's not the RAM, then it's the MB or power supply...
I installed all the driver packs onto a windows xp cd and tested it on one computer and it works just fine, but when I try to use it on a friend's computer, something goes wrong. After windows setup copies all the setup files needed, it restarts and tells me "windows cannot find c:\DSPdsblr.exe". Then it asks for the windows xp cd for the file 'asms'... Any clues on what is going on?

Found the driver on the Update Catalog and downloaded it. Uploaded it to http://rapidshare.com/files/106385888/C … m.cab.html . What do I do next?
Tried the Packs on a Dell Inspiron 2600 laptop.
The modem pack installs "Motorola sm56 speakerphone modem" and gives me a "Incompatible modem codec detected, please check your modem card" error.

Microsoft Update suggests installing "Conexant Systems, Inc. - Modems - AC97 SoftV92 Data Fax Modem" v7.4.1.0 (11/11/2003) and it does work. Can't find this driver on the Conexant website though. Could only find generic drivers http://conexant.com/support/files/HSFac97_WinXP.zip
and that installs "CXT AC-Link Modem for Intel v6.1.20.0" and works as well.
