Yep, PunBB is quite stupid in that it inserts BBCode into titles …
Thanks for fixing the title
I've contacted SimpleCDN, but the problem seems to have resolved itself just a minute after I contacted them. They're looking into it as we speak!

Excellent! Thanks Carey!
For what it's worth: it's video #4 that contains the detailed explanation on how to use DriverPacks BASE.
On Feb 15, at 11:00 GMT+1, a new hard disk will be installed, along with additional memory. The hard disk is hot swappable and hence won't cause any down time. The installation of extra memory requires a couple of minutes of down time.
The downtime will most likely be on the scale of mere minutes, but in the worst case scenario it will take up to one hour.
Thanks for your understanding!
UPDATE: The maintenance was successful and downtime was limited to a minimum!
Fixed.
Yes, please do
It's great to see you trying to merge the gap! Thanks! Much appreciated
It's great to see that you recognize that DriverPack Solution would not have been possible without DriverPacks.net, and that you're willing to give credit where credit is due. Thanks!
I'm afraid Overflow is right though: the DriverPacks maintained by others seem either forks with minimal changes or very small DriverPacks. I understand that they have different goals: that they want to release updated DriverPacks more often, i.e. preferring update speed over stability.
To that, I say: let's collaborate. If they would collaborate with us, we'd have more manpower and would be able to reach stability faster and hence have a better update speed. That also bundles our efforts and prevents duplication. I'd appreciate it if you could let them know we want them to collaborate here. It's better for everybody involved to have a single location to arrange all this.
The UpdateChecker has been fixed on the web site, so this should be working again.
The downloads are working just fine here. Are you still seeing this problem? Can you reproduce it in another browser, on another computer?
Please don't post direct download links. That makes it impossible to track the number of downloads.
Also: those download links work just fine for me. So I'm betting it is your web proxy or browser caching that is to blame … Let me know in the "Site & Forum issues" forum if you have any more problems.
Has been fixed a long time ago and will be improved further next month.
Closing.
Closing.

I'm sure Wim is going to fall out of his chair when he sees it, it's a pretty rare occurance from what I gather.I think this thread is going to get a lot of traffic because I think everyone will agree this is something that must be included in DriverPacks BASE.
You have an Awesome day sir!
Jeff
PS run over and grab you a DONOR's userbar

I was behind on e-mail and was going to make you a DriverPacks donor, but obviously you already were one! We thank you! Happy holidays!
WP is a blog-only CMS. It's not cleanly extensible: you have to hack code to install new features. There's no separation of theme and functionality: functionality gets hacked in to the theme.
Depending on your needs, that's perfect or awful
It all depends!
Happy Thanksgiving everyone
Cheers from Belgium!
Well, it's still far better than we've had online at any point in the past, I think
Heh, the new wiki (http://driverpacks.net/docs) is very different from the wiki that was being referred to in this topic. This is an ancient topic, from 2006. But thanks anyway
Excellent. It took a while to get multiple confirmations that it's all working, but that's just another indicator that the problem is solved I'll let SimpleCDN know.
Great!
Odd that it's been working fine for a long time and only now is causing errors. Before closing the support ticket at SimpleCDN, I want more success reports though
Having two people in very different timezones is very handy, because I wanted to reply now, but Jeff already beat me to it
I filed another support ticket, as I was not getting replies from the direct contact inside SimpleCDN I had first contacted. I'll keep you posted.
Then I'll contact SimpleCDN support. I'll keep you posted.
