If DriverPacks was the last change you made then DriverPacks BASE can and will remove itself successfully...
If you made any changes after DriverPacks BASE then
when DriverPacks BASE restores all the backup files it made during the original slipstream
any changes made to files after the BASE back up are lost during the restore
and any related files that may be referenced in the restored files are at the same time orphaned.
Hint: you can uninstall DriverPacks by selecting no packs and hitting the slipstream button
you can just uninstall DriverPacks before updating... then re slipstream when your finished tweaking
or keep a copy of your source just prior to adding DriverPacks (Reccomended / prefered method)
Please read "read before you post"
Only by providing the info requested can we address any issues
as i said tha last post should have been the first
How do I....
Much better than try to say "Relax you guys, I am now here and all your problems will be solved
Also already done...
RogueSpears AutoImage will integrate DriverPacks into a RIS image...
Also you can llook at SAD method 2
(That should have been your first post)
kaitsevaim wrote:I´m very sorry, if you think so, Overflow. I just try to solve problems, why it wont work. If there´s absolutely no reasonable and not-bone-breaking way, how the problem can be solved, then i agree with you.
DriverPacks has been around for over five years and has millions of users and has the input of some of the top people in the world and feedback from thousands of those users who have deployed millions of machines. Every conceivable option has been explored more than once. All of our "problems" were solved long before you put your first post up... yesterday
.
Perhaps you should figure out how it works - before - you try to tell us how we can do it better
Do you know what M1 and M2 are, and the differences between them?
The Why detached program (T-39) won't work is so obvious that i did not bother to explain, i just dismissed it as a deliberate attempt to insult to our collective intelligence and draw a demerit for not using the search feature.
Please avail yourself of the "Search" feature of our forum Before Asking it saves everyone grief...
Had you searched for Detached Program you would have found your answer and saved me the trouble having to hold your hand, finding this link for you... and it probably would have taken less time for both of us.

You need to make sure that the .net installer runs during the WinPE stage of setup... (between the first and second reboots)
that way the machine will reboot before the .net dependent app will be run.
there are three stages of setup: TextMode (Reboot), WinPE (Reboot), and finally GUI.
it may be possable to run the .net installer and then the CCC during GUI mode, but there is a higher chance of success if you install .net during the WinPE stage, and then call the DriverPacks Finisher during the GUI stage. (RunOnceEX, GUIRunOnce or similar)
kaitsevaim wrote:hi! I´ve been looking over the internet and found a 3rd method for integrating the driverpacks. Drivers are called via winnt.sif directly from cd at T-39. Should be worth a try to put the option into driverpacks base.
NO this absolutely will not work...
It is good info that you were able to use the Vista drivers for XP-x64...
that feedback may prove useful to many of our readers.
Welcome to DriverPacks and have a great day!
well you totaly ommitted win 2k3... and 2k8
What is the point of this thread? this info is provided on the home page.
Why have you asserted that the x-86 drivers are for XP...
Incorrect they are for NT5.x x-86 as stated. IE 2k 5.0, xp 5.1, 2k3 5.2.
It is unknown if the vista drivers will work on NT5
( Who cares we have packs just for NT5 and do not recomend the Vista packs for anything but Vista )
Please try and make a point... please read the already posted info.
RVM Integrator is good for updates
http://integrator.siginetsoftware.com/i … p?download
and some .Net installers here
http://www.doitrightconsulting.net/foru … &t=132
- although not recommended for servicepack setup i have used it with success.
- I integrate .net 2 So I can run WPI
I believe that is also sufficient for the ATI control panel
check out MSFN.org for more options
the CCC control panel requires .Net framework... ?
ATI control panel requires .NET to be installed first (before the driver / control panel)
you don't need to reinstall anything... or redownload anything... the messages are warnings that can be IGNORED in your situation...
THERE ARE NOT ANY PROBLEMS WITH YOUR SOURCE.
just remove the PID and test...
notice your post was updated with code tags (you can "edit" it and see how that is done")
Your image is done correctly... Try this. Don't put a PID (Product ID) in with nLite... When you get to the login use WGA (Windows Genuine Advantage) to register your windows
OK the report is because nLite is creating $OEM$\cmdlines.txt. this causes base to do extended checking to see if it was previously installed.
HWIDs tool in my signature... post output
Welcome Pat,
sure we have a test pack that is looking good for release would you like to test it and tell us if it fixes your issue?

2009-07-12 03:31:55 : <CLNP> Program terminated.
it looks like you ware doing exactly the right steps... however without your complete log i cannot determine the nature of the error.
those lines are generated for several different things that are narrowed down by the missing info... waht packs, versions, which mode, what was selected to where and onto what... blah blah blah...
so the log is in the same folder as DriverPacks BASE... and is named DPs_BASE.log
there are some posts related to this on our site... search for "Erd Commander"
not useing the search feature will earn you a demerit (awarded)
no need to redownload DriverPacks...
We have not had any reports of issues with the nLite copy
(notice small n Capital L nLite this is not one of my many typos lol)
you MUST run DriverPacks last... You can make no, zero, none, zip, nada changes after DriverPacks...
If you do make changes after DriverPacks then you will not be able to run DriverPacks again on that source, ever...
DriverPacks MUST BE THE LAST CHANGE TO YOUR SOURCE!!!
Hint... DriverPacks can be uninstalled if neccessary (see: must be last change made), but for me it is easier to just start over
PS it is possable that the source is not hosed...
certain conditions can generate those errors without issue...
Since you did not submit the entire log all i have to go in is the two error lines...
which are translated into corrupted when i view them by themselves without the remainder of the log...
I mean that DriverPacks has been run on that source before... but the backup files have been removed... DriverPacks BASE can no longer uninstall itself from that source. that means it is HOSED! It has orphaned files and corrupted files and missing files... (IE It is corrupted)
you need to copy your OEM XP disc to your HDD and start CLEAN / OVER...
The source you used (the one the log entries shown came from) Is no longer any good.
Where did you get that source? ( Hint... The correct answer is I recopied my hologramed disc to the HDD)
<Prep>\I386\winnt.org was not found, \I386\winnt.sif was not restored
<Prep>\Neither txtsetup.org or dosnet.org was found
Indicates that your source is corrupted... Start with a clean source
I also have seen an external USB device hang a system at the BIOS stage... Good call BigBrit!
