BASE 8.05
MASS STORAGE PACK 8.06F Nightly and/or 8.05
Compared DriverPack_MassStorage_wnt5_x86-32.ini, there isnt this string.

Re: [IMPL] Please add new AMD/ATI AHCI Drivers!

I'm already working on it thanks for the input. I noticed the same thing you just did. There is  3 or 4 HWIDs that are located in both inf. So I had to modify the DriverPacks ini file using a different tag for [AT2].

Also gigabyte released the same driver with a newer build that supports more hwids. So I used this one, it also contains the hwid of your hardware.

Jaak or Overflow: Is it possible that tag must be under 8 characters ?

Re: [IMPL] Please add new AMD/ATI AHCI Drivers!

yes the tag must be 8.3 compliant

In the current form when you install the drivers text mode (with integration in the distribution) on 1002 4376 and 1002 4379 put the driver of silicon and at the time switch to the regular driver gives screen BSOD. With that in hand, without the integration of the drivers system selects standard ATAPI driver of the native cab-file Windows. The same goes smoothly with the installation excluded from the integration of silicon drivers (swoop driver from a folder ATI).

Re: [IMPL] Please add new AMD/ATI AHCI Drivers!

I noticed similar issue too. I'm still searching on what the exact cause is. That's strange because it works fine in PE. So I injected the amss driver from the PE and when I boot in windows I get the 007B error. I'll post more details as soon as I can.

Re: [IMPL] Please add new AMD/ATI AHCI Drivers!

well remember PE only uses the text mode drivers the 7b error occurs after the PnP driver is initialized after teh reboot wink

so youre not useing the same driver you were in PE... wink

Re: [IMPL] Please add new AMD/ATI AHCI Drivers!

Realize, it's been awhile.  But I have two different AMD 780G motherboards and the current mass storage packs do not have the correct drivers for the installing WinXP on AHCI SATA drives.  XP still asks me to push F6 in order to install the drivers off a floppy.  This is difficult since I don't have floppy drives any more.

Does any one else have this problem?  Are the current packs supposed to have the AHCI drivers or am I doing something wrong?  Thanks.

Re: [IMPL] Please add new AMD/ATI AHCI Drivers!

This should have been implemented in the latest release candidate.  We should be going public with it as soon as some more testers report in with successes.
Can you post your affected HWIDs?

Re: [IMPL] Please add new AMD/ATI AHCI Drivers!

I used the latest MassStorage Drivers dated Jan 2009.  I'm not sure if these are correct, but this is what I found from AHCI drivers for the floppy disks:
