No, the problem you're having is with the dpms.
Nvidia has historically had problems.
Do you still have the problem if you ONLY integrate the latest dpms & chipset?
If so, try downgrading dpms to v9.01

Ah...Nvidia.  I might have known. sad

I knew about the .cat files being unnecessary for PE.  But I don't have compatible hardware to test this on and my UBCD4win disc works perfectly on hardware I do have.
They've already confirmed that adding the .din files to the folder and listing them in the .inf works.  The .din files are about 4kb each, certainly not bloated.
The .exe mentioned is only an uninstaller.  Maybe it is needed, maybe not.  If the .inf is only looking for a file to register during install, maybe a dummy empty .txt file renamed to .exe would suffice.
But only the OP and S33K3r can confirm for us.

I'm guessing the best Third Party DriverPack to put this in would be "misc"?

So let me get this straight.
1. The actual FILES are not copied to the \LAN\wnt5\ folder
2. The files are not LISTED in the \LAN\LAN.inf

I can confirm this bug exists even with the 1007r3 pack and the current DriverPacks BASE.
When DriverPacks BASE creates the PE plugin folders, the following files are excluded (.din, .exe, .cat, maybe others)
This is a bug, and doesn't just affect Intel.  It's how DriverPacks BASE handles the file types during PE plugin creation.

It's a windows executable.  The HWIDs can be read from many other utilities so you can borrow someones UBCD4win disc or use a linux live cd.  The HWID for the device would be VEN_**** & DEV_**** & possibly SUBSYS_******.
Even if you install XP without DriverPacks, you can still get the HWIDs.  Or you can reinstall the original OS (Vista?) and get them that way.

Our simplecdn server host is hiccuping.  You have a corrupted download if the hashes don't match.  Please clear your browser cache and try the download again.
It may take several attempts over several days to get it right.  Wim is in talks with the hosting company (and others) in order to correct the problem.

OK, I don't know what's going on with that.  Muiz updated our ftp server and now nothing works.
I tried moving it to our cdn server and it's broken too.
Perfect... \o/

I'll take a look at it, but I wasn't able to figure out how to disassemble the previous versions of setpoint.
This one is no different.  There's no .inf/.sys files or any "drivers" that I could see.
If you figure it out, let me know.

I added code tags for you (edit your post to see what I did).
We also need the hwids from the affected system.

PE is a Pre-installation Environment.  It was NEVER designed to run as a full OS.
Moving to "other"...

MythTV is one of the best of the free software choices out there.  You can get it integrated in an OS like mythbuntu (ubuntu) or mythdora (fedora).
And blu-ray in mythtv is fully supported.
Lots of info here: http://www.mythtv.org/wiki/External_Lin … 2F_Distros

If you insist on using a M$-based OS, I can only suggest Win7 Home Premium.  It has the Media Center already integrated and will play well with your laptop.
While you CAN use XP-MCE edition, it's support is waning fast.

This seems to be an ongoing problem and Wim has already contacted simplecdn for a resolution.
They are looking into it.  That's the only/best answer I can give you at the moment.

Please keep reporting the problems along with the following info:
Files attempted/failed
Date/time (in GMT if possible)
IP address of your PC at the time of failure.

This will help us pinpoint the failing server node.

Was this ever resolved?

Well, technically yes.  But the DriverPacks Finisher doesn't filter HDAUDIO*** HWIDs just yet (in-work).  Your best bet for the moment is to find a unique .sys or .dll file used by that package and list it as a "trigger" file for the exception:
exc_1_tagFiles  = 1
exc_1_tagFile1  = "%SystemRoot%\system32\drivers\unique_file.sys"

And leave the exc_1_+hwid and exc_1_+infFile portions blank.

Well I'll try and fix up another rc from the 1007 branch and upload for you to test.  My build looks different to yours because of the differences in the up-to-date release candidate in use.

Just wondering: if driver signing policy is disabled and RIS driver is newer than normal drivers:
which driver does PNP load?

Setup will still assign a trust "rank" to each matching driver.  Unsigned drivers will always be "Driver node not trusted, rank changed from *** to ***" in setupapi.log.  You taught me that trick! wink
Then setup will use whatever driver it can find that is "trusted" with the highest rank.  Regardless of the driver signing policy.

Ah, yeah, if he's using 2003 files, I'll need to adjust the .ini to block that too.  I'll update the next DriverPack LAN rc.

LAN 10.05.1: Can you include RIS driver only at BartPE?

Does BASE support this:
at windows mode: include L\B3, exclude L\RS
at BartPE mode: exclude L\B3, include L\RS

That's already implemented (sort of).
The drivers in L\B3 are signed, L\RS are not.  Therefore during normal XP setup, the drivers in L\B3 will be favored over RS.
In BartPE, L\B3 is excluded for XP:

[B3]
; BartPE Code
ms_count	 	= 1
ms_1_tag 	= "B3_Proliant"
ms_1_sysfile 	= "bxnd52x.sys"
ms_1_exc_skipIfOS="wxp"

Is the problem being caused by the 2003 server entries?  If so, then changing the line to read: ms_1_exc_skipIfOS="wxp,w2k3"
should fix it.
