What you want is SAD2.  No need to decompress the DriverPacks (unless you want to).
Read the "readme.txt"

Here's the post on how to use SAD2: http://forum.driverpacks.net/viewtopic.php?id=5336
You double-click it and it works. wink

Otherwise you can use the "setupcomplete.cmd" method
Create the following folder structure to your Win7 disc:
%Win7-Disc%\sources\$oem$\$1\D\SAD2 (entire SAD2 folder with all DriverPacks goes here)
%Win7-Disc%\sources\$oem$\$$\Setup\scripts\setupcomplete.cmd
Add the following code to the setupcomplete.cmd file.

@echo off
START C:\D\SAD2\DP_Install_Tool.cmd

Otherwise, Here's a nice tutorial on deploying Win7 (Read step 7): http://forum.driverpacks.net/viewtopic.php?id=5949

Test pack uploaded in NT6 testing area.  Please test.

Thanks.  I already have a cleanup.cmd script in my working file but I haven't had time to work on this lately.
My script uses the same runonce registry key hack that the DriverPacks Finisher uses to clear the directory on next restart so sleep.exe isn't needed.
Hopefully I'll have time in the next few weeks to finish everything on my to-do list and put out a "final" version.

Well, I don't know what to tell you.  I compared the files MD5 hashes and they're identical.  Maybe there's a keyboard hotkey utility installed elsewhere that enables that function.

OK thanks.  I have them all downloaded.   I'll take a look and see about fixing dpms.

Can you provide download links for the drivers you want to see included?

DriverPack WLAN 12.02 was just released.  I'll take a look.
*Edit
There's zero difference between what you linked and the drivers in DriverPack WLAN 12.02 d\w\i2\

I'll take a look.

There's zero difference between what you linked and the drivers direct from v14.3.0.6 Intel.

You don't have to copy a URL.  Just click the big green "Download" button to download the *.torrent file.
Once you have the *.torrent file on your computer, just double click it and utorrent will open and begin to retrieve the DriverPacks.

You need to install SP3 before you do anything else.  SP3 includes the hotfix for HDAudio.

We cannot give you specific help without your log files.  Please read the Read BEFORE you post. link in my signature then post your DPs_BASE.log and HWID list using the tool in my signature.

Yeah, I saw that.  I grabbed both x64/x86 installers from the main site and extracted each 7z.exe & 7z.dll.
I thought the 9.22 was beta.

I don't know what you're talking about.  Are you refering to the 'M' folder here:
DP_MassStorage_wnt6-x64_1202.7z\x64\All\M\
DP_MassStorage_wnt6-x64_1202.7z\x64\Server\M\
DP_MassStorage_wnt6-x64_1202.7z\x64\Vista\M\
DP_MassStorage_wnt6-x64_1202.7z\x64\Win7\M\

Updated first post to new v120215

Speaking of legacy systems, what is the minimum memory size to target for XP; 256MB, 192MB, 128MB (minimum recommendation of MS)?

To be safe, I build all the packs by keeping the lowest common denominator (XP 128MB RAM) in mind.  The packs may be larger than they could be, but I know someone with a low-end system won't have problems.

I'm not sure about logging the timestamps.

Agreed! smile

Thanks for doing all these tests.  I wish I had time to do them under controlled conditions but TechDud's results are consistent with my previous tests.  I think it's safe to assume the newer version of 7zip is a significant upgrade to the older version.
Also, compression time is less of a factor than decompression time or compatibility because we only compress the DriverPacks once prior to release, but they are decompressed millions of times.

But you guys are missing a fairly obvious problem.
We can't release any DriverPacks compressed with LZMA2 until DriverPacks BASE is updated with the newer 7zip.

It's a "chicken or egg" problem.  We need to get the tools out to the people before we start supplying the DriverPacks.
LZMA2 compressed DriverPacks will break older builds using the current build of DriverPacks BASE.
I am working on implementing these changes into my SAD2 script (easy since it's stand-alone).

What you are looking for is here: http://forum.driverpacks.net/viewtopic.php?id=4789

I use the following settings:
http://i41.tinypic.com/2w236u1.png

We already have un7zip, and it is our "special" unzipper.  It was created for us to use and distribute with DriverPacks BASE and we use it with SAD2.  But it is old (based on the 4.* version of 7z.dll) and doesn't support a lot of the newer functions of the 9.* series 7z.dll.  The cool thing about un7zip is that it is portable and does not need 7-zip to be installed to use.
Igor does make a standalone "command-line" version here: http://downloads.sourceforge.net/sevenzip/7za920.zip
But from what I understand after reading the readme.txt is that it doesn't support LZMA2 either.
As to letting Igor know about the license infractions, if someone has a sourceforge account then by all means contact him and link to this thread.  He doesn't have a publicly available email address.
