DP_Custom_Pack.7z (I use this for wireless drivers that have not been packed yet )

why not just request them (if you havent)

we dont integrate drivers in driver.cab...

well no... it's not the "same" error...

this time it created svcpack.inf (much further along in the process) and then could not edit it.

is there any possability that we ran out of free disk space?

LOL
It may be that the driver comes with an installer?
So if i have guessed correctly then we may need to call that installer from the finisher...
In which case this will require editing the ini in the sound pack to call the installer...

HDA is installed by KB888111 with xpsp2 and is included with xpsp3

can you at least tellus which is your current source (IE this does not seem to be a "driver" issue)

@maa We need at the bare minimum your HWID....
(we will not take the time to look up MB info for you even if we did the HWID is not included and the HWID is the only info we need.)

it is possable there is a newer version and we can update and resolve this issue
or there may be an error with the file or the pack - jake or jaak may be able to help if so.

the mass storage drivers are compressed on purpose...
there is a limit to the amount of ram that can be used to load mass storage drivers.
windows doesn't care if they are compressed and it allows us to avoid running out of ram when loading so many drivers.
(if they were not compressed we would have to remove 50 or so drivers from the pack to avoid crashing windows)

which mass storage pack version are you useing?

Seems like a good Idea.

Anyone have any ideas or input for this feature...

Thanks for your feedback! it makes DriverPacks better for everyone!

submit your "feature request" in that forum - i will consider adding it especialy if someone 'seconds' the idea.

Since our regulars are aware of this, no one has ever found (i should say reported) it to be a problem. But it may help us help the noobs...

the problem is that not all drivers are the same so even if you were to learn how to add your single driver
when you try to do it again it may not be the same method. We call these "exceptions"
There are may different types of exceptions and we have spent years addressing them and tweaking our method

so there is not a simple list of instructions to follow that will yeild success in every case.
(if it were that easy who would need us wink )

have a great day!

Thanks Dan you're our most important team member -
the feedback team!
don't ever stop...

It yeilds a much better compresion than any other compression utility available (and yes it is free)

nice to "see" you - glad your here (again) smile

Excellent work guys!

Thanks for keeping us in the loop... I am sure, as a group, we will win this...

Sorry my info was not the answer we had hoped for...

you mentioned a new driver as a fix... perhaps an old driver is a fix?

Wow, they are really on the ball this season, i hope it continues...

Well, BOTH obviously wink

ROFL....

I belive you are not the only user who will want or use this feature
i will implement it soon.

well where is the post requesting the feature??? lol... waiting on you to cross the T and dot the I

not that i am aware of - sounds like a valid "feature request"

finisher ini option - skip driver removal.

PS lots of odd things happen with drivers sometime even "impossible" things

we don't add drivers that are not available on the main site... in this case intel.

leaked, beta, or unofficial sources are not valid here...

We want stable packs, making current packs is secondary to that goal.

We are always aware of the top vendors releases such as ATI, Nvidia, SI, and Intel. a proper link is below...

this driver is already in a test pack

Thanks for your feed back
in the future please avail yourself of the search feature of this forum, and read the stickys. wink

Like this one http://forum.driverpacks.net/viewtopic.php?id=1139

Pss station-drivers always keeps us WAY ahead of ANY current releases.
(they leak drivers pre release so by watching them we know well in advance of their impending official release.)

but you are adding mass storage drivers to your install from the pack so they are there before you add cpu ... yes?

so you are haveing the same issue... which is why i pointed it out wink

http://bugtracker.driverpacks.net/view.php?id=432

there is a bad file in the MassStorage pack it has been reported at bug tracker ...

----------------

There's a crap inf-file located at DP_MassStorage_wnt5_x86-32_804\D\M\SC\Kopie van si3132r5.inf

It's for AMD 64-bit processors - should be removed, since it makes WinXP install stops at beginning (before format) when integrating the drivers in DRIVERS.CAB (HFSLIP or manually).

----------------

has this been addressed by anyone?
