Re: [REQ] New IDT audio codec v5.10.6033.2 for Intel desktop boards

hi,
I am pleased to see that Microsoft did not leave the super generics in..
In fact, not a single generic..

When I mentioned that IDT sigmatel was a troublemaker I had read some articles @ technet.. (it was about service packs and drivers..)
Now I see they took action.

The answer was 42?
Kind regards, Jaak.

Re: [REQ] New IDT audio codec v5.10.6033.2 for Intel desktop boards

I was actually just coming here to post about some compatibility problems with IDT audio codec. I was thinking it was a SP3 issue, but when I downloaded the drivers from Gateway (I have a Gateway laptop), the drivers installed just fine.

Anyway, I'll wait for this updated version to come out before I bug you guys with the issue.

I've been on this board since day one (well, since its infancy), and I only have 15 posts. All I ever do is search / look around! lol

Re: [REQ] New IDT audio codec v5.10.6033.2 for Intel desktop boards

I have not worked on DriverPack Sound A and b 805 since their release on 12th..
I have been somewhat busy on trying to puzzle together LAN and a couple other things here..

the LAN testpack UPloaded like ten minutes ago...

Re: [REQ] New IDT audio codec v5.10.6033.2 for Intel desktop boards

Intel released their version of the IDT drivers a few days ago, version 5790 for XP (WHQL).

Re: [REQ] New IDT audio codec v5.10.6033.2 for Intel desktop boards

Updated to v5.10.6033.2

PROBLEM: I got ahead of myself and integrated into a test pack, but the stacsv (audio service) installs and then RESIDES from the DP extraction location during setup, so the "D" folder doesn't get deleted from the DP Finisher. Only using the intel setup routine does the stacsv get installed to Program Files to run as a service from there. What's the trick? The pathing in the INF?

Yeah... I have to admit that I have the same frickin problem...

I'm using this driver: http://eudownload.ecs.com.tw/dlfileecs/ … _095_1.rar with my own custom Sound DP
(03/25/2008,5.10.5902.1)

Any luck finding a solution for this!? smile

Btw, this is the last driver that is working for me and "stacsv.exe" will be not left behind: 11/10/2007,5.10.5713.0 (for ECS motherboards)
