I need rc1 to get the beta started
Link removed by request.
It may be a good idea to prepare for the launch of SP3 by adding the necessary code a little in advance and play with the SP3 RC1 a little.
That's actually not that bad an idea. SP3 is supposed to be released in 2008 (As early as Jan...as late as Dec!). It's encouraging to see it go RC1 this early, which means very little will change to the content, only bug-fixes at this point. SP3 RC1 is a restricted download at the moment (I've got mine), but RC2 will probably go public either Jan or Feb so we'll have loads of testers available.
At the very least, having a DPBase beta will allow you to refamiliarize yourself with the code and there are many people with fresh ideas for the DPBase.
Something to ponder.
Vista support is still a ways off, but getting closer.
is Universal extractor getting better at doing the 'cabs"?
I grabbed 7zip yesterday, it's nice.
Yes Jaak, UE1.6b is getting a whole lot better at extracting installers and cabs.
@Jaak and mr_smartepants lets get this in the tutorial?
Will do!
I'm way behind in my tutorial updates (sorry Jaak).
I'll try to get to it this weekend...I'm swamped with work.
OK, this is a russian language version of G_A ONLY.
Try it and let us know.

I will try to build a Russian version of this DP for you to test. I'll do my best since I don't speak russian.
It's built, uploading now.
A month ago I tried building a multilanguage installer (using the .mst transforms built into the 'localizations' folder) but the setup.exe /s switch uses the info coded in the setup.iss file (language code) and I couldn't find a simple way to do it. I found a complicated scripted way to do it but that's not an elegant solution. The batch file would scan for a localized version of XP, write the appropriate code to a .txt file, then rename the txt file to setup.iss, overwrite the original setup.iss file, and then run setup.exe /s.
ugly.
Welcome to Driverpacks.
Can you try this file?
http://dev.driverpacks.thesneaky.com/dr … 32_7111.7z
It's built using the latest ATI catalyst 7.11 drivers.
It will also attempt to install the HDMI driver for that card. Your testing would be invaluable to us.
You don't need the G_B or G_C driverpacks, they don't support that ATI card.
Bummer!
Please report back if you get access to it and test on it.
I just downloaded the DP Base package again (same MD5 hash), decompressed ALL the files then scanned the lot with Symantec Endpoint Protection v11 (supersedes SAV and SCS) and all files were clean.
Then to be safe, scanned the files again in VirtualPC using ESET Smart Security v3, also clean.
False positive.
Hmmmm.
Can you try this pack? I just uploaded it a few days ago.

Your chipset is supported, I don't know why it's not loading.
Can you post your DPfinisher log (in C:\Windows)? If it's too long to post, you can email it to me at: mr_smartepants at driverpacks.net
HWID.

"ATI RADEON XPRESS 200M Series " = ati2mtag_RC410M, PCI\VEN_1002&DEV_5A62
The current Graphics_A DP (7.10) does (See above)
Which DP did you use, and how did you integrate it? Method 1/2, QSC on/off?
Did you have "Driver Signing" disabled? (I'm betting money you didn't)
Just so you know, I have G_A 7.11 waiting in the wings.
Just waiting for ATI to release 7.11 catalyst.

Updated to version 163.75, 10/04/2007
Jake is right.
If your winnt.sif doesn't include any of the settings listed at all, the driver may then set that resolution as default.
I now have vista to test on.
Bring out the code!
Bâshrat the Sneaky is very busy I'm sure.
I'm not sure he's even read your request.
I would wait for an official answer from Bâshrat the Sneaky.
Well, would anyone please explain me why ths installation depend on the .cat file?
In your situation, your chipset is NOT natively supported (or covered by the .cat file) by the nvidia reference drivers included in the DP, therefore the drivers will NOT be signed.
Why you are seeing a driver-signing popup is an unusual problem since the DPBase (not the driverpacks themselves) makes the needed changes to your source files to 'ignore' the driver-signing policy.
Are you integrating the DriverPacks by using the DPBase? Or are you using another method of integration? Please let us know step-by-step your methods.
Incidentally, I've looked at the drivers you've linked to and they're older then what is included in the DP.
There should not be a problem with driver signing as I did not alter the drivers in anyway. Hmmmm.
Besides, nvidia doesn't natively support the mobile 8400 (yet) so any drivers loaded onto that system won't have driver signing anyway.
Can you point to the video download for your laptop. I couldn't find a laptop made by LG.
Your HWID is directly supported by the newest Graphics_A DP in testing.
Can you try this DP and report back please?

You betcha!
The driverpack you want is the Graphics_A.
It includes the latest nVidia drivers.

Sorry for sounding harsh. I didn't understand what you meant.
I did some 'googling' myself and came up with this thread.
Basically, the owner just used drivers meant for the VGN-FE31M and all was well.
Good luck.
hi to all, and sorry the OT
time ago, i posted a video driver (at that time i thinked was the lonely one... ) problem about this "notebook" here: http://forum.driverpacks.net/viewtopic.php?id=1592
i founded some drivers, but after a BIG research i "left" and i have reinstalled the original vista, and sended backthe notebook was not mine but a friend one
now he recall me about a big problem with some hw (hp not vista supported)
i'd like to solve it intalling a fully driver supported os (xp)the question: have, someone, ended a xp installation with this notebook?
if so, can u gently, say me what kinds of driver have u used?thx to all, and sorry the ot
I read your post four times and I still have no idea what you're asking. Are you asking about the notebook in THIS thread, the notebook in your OTHER thread (which you should have posted there) or this mystery HP notebook of your friends (needs NEW thread)?
Also, are you asking about a sound driver or a video driver?
This area is for sound drivers, and this thread specifically is regarding the Sony notebook in the title...nothing else.
No thread hijacking please.
Wow, that's old!
You can update that cmd file yourself by going through each DP .ini file (which are coded similarly).
I have no idea where you could find an updated version of what you have. Sorry.
Welcome to Driverpacks.net!
Please post as a [REQ] in the appropriate forum (mass storage).
Include a link to the driver, as well as your relevent HWID to verify.
Please , can you correct the download link , because it does not work.
Fixed.
Helmi's right. The main reason I decided against adding the hotfix at this time was because AMD/ATI doesn't officially support it themselves.
It only added increased performance/stability in some games. That's it.

Note: This driver is provided as is and is not supported by AMD. It has not completed full AMD testing, and is only recommended for users experiencing the particular issue described above
