If your graphics adapter isn't being detected, I'd be suspicious of your mobo chipset drivers. Try installing the Intel drivers for the 915GM chipset first.
can i user later graphic driver for old graphic card like fx5 series and 6 series?
In most cases yes. Although, you'd have to check with the vendor to make sure.
another question are new graphic driver pack stable?i alway got problem using newest graphic driver when playing newest game like world in conflict(i using 8800gt and later graphic driver A.i can play but after at middle my pc screen become unstable then auto reset)
We only use WHQL drivers when available. We never use beta drivers! In most cases, our beta DriverPacks are beta because we are testing new methods, not drivers.
Give them a try! You'll never know unless you try.
When you mess up Vista's bootloader and the hidden partition, you are indeed in trouble.
Indeed! And not cheap to fix. You'll need to buy a restore DVD from ACER.
This happened to a friend of mine.
driver for Asus P4S 8000X
Ummm...what?
but if I try XP on it I can't reinstal vista again if it's notre work..because i don't have cd and it's in hide partition
Either image your existing partition to an external HDD using Acronis True Image or Norton Ghost (I recommend Acronis, and they have a 30-day free trial IIRC).
Or, just yank your HDD out and put a spare one in there for testing (what I do).
M2. QSC on, ROE, chipset 801c, CPU71220, G_A8012, G_B8012, L801, S_A712, S_B801
All good!
fifteen variations after that.
four of them tested live in TXT mode in a Live DVD Boot.
Holy CRAP Jaak! You've been busy!
I've only done two tests (desktop/notebook).
I've got some catching up to do.
I agree, RC2 is pretty damn stable. Unless Jeff plans to implement what he learned in the other thread about the "monitor hotfix", we could just wrap this up and release.
Maybe it was when a member and Erik implemented widescreen support in Graphics.. which was then no longer an issue?
The only method I used to implement widescreen support was in the ATI driver, specifically the mobility.inf file which covers all cards not officially supported by ATI Catalyst.
It had nothing to do with DPBase.
I can add widescreen support (member must provide EXACT HWID and resolution) to prevent incorrect/unsupported resolutions leaking into other cards.
That's all, it's not rocket-science
This is exciting! Good sleuthing Jeff! Great testing work cdob/chud. You guys are invaluable!
Yes!!!
Great job Jeff! Will beat on this one.
Glad to see this got resolved.

Great teamwork guys!

I'm sorry, but we do NOT support warez.
I suggest you buy a legitimate XP license, then we can help you.
Sorry, but I'm very much against software pirates.
Oh, and welcome to DriverPacks.
Matrox display controller boards for medical imaging and their drivers are generally designed for and available bundled with medical imaging displays from a variety of industry partners. Please contact your vendor for the appropriate/updated driver and technical support. For more information on Matrox Graphics products for medical imaging professionals, please visit the Matrox Medical Imaging home page and/or contact us via our online form.
I don't think we'll be supporting this card anytime soon. If we can't even get ahold of the drivers from the vendor...
@chud, You could try making your own DP and testing it yourself. Considering you have access to the hardware & drivers.
I'll take a look at the NEC drivers anyway. No promises.
*Edit, Ha ha! The drivers are the same as the ones in the G_B DP and the ones we have are newer!
That's funny!
Anyway, try renaming the .inf file in the NEC drivers and add it to the G_B/M1 folder. Also, extract the MtxDrvService.exe file from the NEC .cab file and drag it to M1.
Should work fine.
can i get some more feedback on the failure -
Sorry, already overwrote the log file. The error happened with 7.12b using one of the nightly MS DriverPacks (7.124 I think).
Anyway, I was wrong about the greyed options, they work fine. I misunderstood the Base options. I didn't realize that Text-mode could be separated from PnP mode. Duh!
If I see the error again, I'll post the log file.
I'm new to driver integration and don't really know how to get the right drivers for my laptop.
Welcome to DriverPacks
I'm sorry, but you're in the wrong place then.
The whole intent of this website is to provide tools/drivers to people wanting to integrate current drivers into their Windows installation media. This is not a central driver repository, nor do we routinely help people find drivers for their hardware.
You should be able to reinstall your OS by using the recovery partition built into every ACER machine I've ever seen. Check your documentation to do it correctly.
If you've wiped-out your recovery partition too, then you're out of luck and need to contact ACER for a recovery CD, they cost between $10-50 depending on your excuse.
For drivers, try here.
Sorry, but we don't support Linux.
The Fedora support forums do however, you could try there.
http://www.fedoraforum.org/
I agree. 712b looks almost good enough to be final!
I tried most of the functions and everything just works!
I got an odd crash/reboot when I accidentally checked "MassStorage Text Mode" without selecting a MassStorage DP (QSC was empty, MS DP was available but not selected).
The text-mode option should be greyed-out if a MassStorage DP isn't selected.
Great job Jeff!
Please try the beta G_B 8.01.2 DriverPacks here:
http://forum.driverpacks.net/viewtopic.php?id=1642
There was a bug in the A5 section for that missing file. It's fixed in the latest beta.
The only problem is the drivers might not be signed because of the modified "mobility.inf" file used.
Could you post the version of the DriverPacks you integrated, and also your HWIDs too?
You should be using SP2 for security purposes.
Strange that you're using Fujitsu drivers for a Dell server.
Which version of the DriverPacks did you use? What method were they integrated?
Can you try the DriverPacks in this post?
http://forum.driverpacks.net/viewtopic.php?id=1642
The G_A DP has the latest nVidia drivers to date. Please test them.
I've believed these new releases were just beta. Thanks, i'll give them a try.
Well, they are beta. But by testing them and working out the bugs they then become final. We can't finalize any DP without testing first.
The ATI Mobility drivers can't get installed because it searches the files into C:\D\G\A\1\.\B_52365 instead of C:\D\G\A\1\B_52365
Any idea about where this path error comes from ?
Well, my first question would be why are you using an older DP?
You should try our latest/greatest: http://forum.driverpacks.net/viewtopic.php?id=1642
If I had to guess, the flaw was in the mobility.inf file in A\1\
Near the end of the text file I'll bet it reads
[SourceDisksNames.x86]
1 = %DiskId%,,,.\.\B_52365
Instead of correctly reading:
[SourceDisksNames.x86]
1 = %DiskId%,,,.\B_52365
In any case, try the new DriverPacks, they're as bug-free as I can make them.
I found a problem when installing (I use unattended + driverpacks) on a system (asus pundit) with an ati radeon mobility IGP 9100. During the windows installation (I slipstremed all the graphics driverpacks) the installer searches for a file called ativvpxx.pv in c:\d\g\a5 while it is actually in a subdirectory called B_32846.
Wow, good find. I wonder how long that bug had been there. The filename is actually 'ativvpxx.vp' and it's referenced under a function in A5\mobility.inf but not referenced under the [SourceDisksFiles] section.
I'll fix it and reupload (I'll doublecheck all of the other mobility.inf files too). To fix it at your end, just decompress the DP, edit the file yourself. At the end of the mobility.inf file, in the [SourceDisksFiles] section, add the line:
ativvpxx.vp=1
Then recompress the DP with 7zip.
*Edit, it was actually missing quite a few files in the mobility.inf file. Fixed now.
G_B 8.01.2 is up now.
