Chrysalis wrote:I would include physx since the recent versions are distributed with drivers and for that reason I can consider tham as part of drivers. If someone has to download and extract drivers to install physx it defeats the purpose of using driverpacks.
to clarify
177.83 whql
177.98 whql
both integrate physx installers.
only earlier versions of physx were seperate.
I don't think you have been reading carefully...
mr_s said if it were included with the driver he would include it... what part of that is not clear to you ? ? ?
I however still think it may be nice to have it in a 3rd party DriverPack...
and this would still be no problem for you just add the 3rd party DriverPack to your build and you wouldn't even know it wasn't in the main pack
(think about it...)
well remember PE only uses the text mode drivers the 7b error occurs after the PnP driver is initialized after teh reboot
so youre not useing the same driver you were in PE...
well a google search revealed warm-snows application... that is not supported by DriverPacks you will need to post in that thread for him...
I, incorrectly, believed your question was DriverPacks related...
IE how to run DriverPacks automaticaly...
but You are NOT useing DriverPacks since warm snows application is a third party app
we don't support third party software ...
by providing good details and the info from Read BEFORE you post in my signature you can avoid confusion.
always provide DriverPacks BASE version and a GOOD (through) description of your situation...
IE waht you are experienceing or waht you are try to accomplish...
What are you talking about? i have no idea...
please explain waht you are doing
what programs you are useing
what is your source OS
waht version of DP
which packs
are you trying to use DriverPacks with a third party program as an API?
what is dp_wsed.ini ??? - this is not a DriverPacks related file?
yikes ! ! !
adaptec and intel shareing hwids now...
sadness...
if you would use the search feature... (That is how I find references)
gui=no in the ini will automate the install...
if you can't get that far on your own...
you probably don't need to be automateing your install...
for a fully silent install you will need to have your application approved by Bâshrat the Sneaky for API mode.
you can however have an automated install...
can we ahve a link to the driver that did work for you?
\
yup that is a standard intel chipset...
try the nightly (test release) here...
http://dev.driverpacks.thesneaky.com/dr … 32_809C.7z
please, let us know if that works for you
man... you are kicking um... arse and taking names lol...
Thanks a million ! ! ! ...
did you subscribe to the sticky sir?
Thanks for contributing, you rock
REwritable disks can be unreliable... if you are useing one...
check MSFN for noob questions...
tutorial for base is in my signature
there are known issues with updateding MCE with SP3
- it is not recomended...
last i heard the better method was to slipstream updates to a sp2 source
this avoids several packages being corupted / downgraded in MCE
best of luck and thanks for reporting
five languages updated portugese german english italian... will there be more???
80910b out now
first thin i noticed is the OS version WIN_XP Service Pack 3, v.3282
current version of SP3 is 5512... so I belive your running a beta version of SP3...
if we are lucky you can update to a current version of sp3 and that may cure your issue
a question - have you run chkdsk on the c: drive?
We have seen this issue only once before...
Please read through it and see if we missed any possable cause of this issue
http://forum.driverpacks.net/viewtopic.php?pid=20248
now your getting it... ding the light bulb comes on... ;p
by useing iniRead() you will also get better access to the data (similar to your reading the file into an array)
in fact i frequently import an entire ini (or inf) section into an array. for the same reason...
you may also find that Fedit.exe (in the DriverPacks bin folder) is even better at inf manipulation
IE
this line uses Fedit because with the -once switch fedit will only add the line ONCE in the entire section
(so if it exists already it doesnt get added again
) PS seems like you could use this for sysprep output
_runDos(@scriptDir & "\bin\Fedit.exe -add -once -f """ & $_I386 & "\dosnet.inf"" -s Files -l d1,setupORG.exe")
and some other nice features that are not native to autoit ini functions...
now that is interesting... hmmm
did you try the link to 809c... (above)
Thanks for the detailed expaliation of your process it really helps!!!
We have a handful of dedicated team members who do the packs, allowing me to focus my free time on the base code...
I rarely need to update the packs unless there is a problem that is unresolved...
i used to do the mass storage pack because it is / was one of the most difficult to understand.
several of the team are now well experienced with that now too...
I have not used it yet but i will be very interested in the output of your tool for sysprep,
as i intend to add sysprep as a platform, so seeing what is known to work will be most helpful.
we are quite lucky to have such a team in place
It really makes me appreceate how hard Bâshrat the Sneaky worked when it was just him...
jsut a wrapper for devcon
no we cant rename teh infs it breaks driver signing... same for ide.inf
i assume the one ide driver is seperate because it is included with a signed chipset driver...
it is probably also a replaceme3nt driver
(meaning you dont want it for sysprep = conflict with existing driver)
um i think it was wim but it is a simple 7z self extracting archive...
i did a similar one with the RAID hwid tool in my signature... nbd
you just create a selfextracting 7z archive with devcon and an autorun script...

subscribe to the sticky in this forum and you will get a copy of the master language file when updates are needed.
Thank you for your kind offer to help!
Have an awsome day!
