SysPrep platform added in new alpha version of DriverPacks BASE
If anybody has a few moments a translation update is needed.
http://forum.driverpacks.net/viewtopic. … 517#p27517
PS Cudos to Helmi
He posted his translation before I could even make this announcement!
Thanks a Million!
thanks again to all of you translators
It is so important for those of us who have the skills to help others.
by translating BASE you make it accessable to an audience that may not have been able to use it otherwise.

Updated first post...
Done added in DriverPacks BASE ver 8.12.1
bump
Polish has not been updated in over a year...
Feel free to update and submit your language file at the bugtracker.
there are instructions here to aid you.
start with the stickied topics, then ask any questions you have.
jeff
Those of you with testing team access have a present...
it seems i need to add a -TAG
if this TAG exists then don't do anything...
the anti tag
Thanks so much
and your timing is perfect
I just released the BASE with the updated layout!
I don't think there is a better place to keep those files...
Therefore I don't see any reason i might move them again,
at least not right at the moment... lol
Hope you had a great holiday!
And I wish you a happy new year
you are a beyond the scope of support for DriverPacks and DriverPacks BASE...
that is an excellent question for RogueSpear our good freind and author of autoimage
He may not respond to this thread right away... IDK if he checks here daily
- you may get a quicker response at his forum...
- you could try it ;p
I am not certain from reading this...
I am guessing this is KTD?
plus an add remove programs routine and a shortcut to run it on the start menu?
does it also re-enumerate / minisetup ?
perhaps you could add a few words to the first post please!
Thanks a million - you are the man!
edit.... this adds the BASE program from integrator? man i am getting slow
got it...
a page lock during refresh is probably required...
I hope it won't give the impression the gui is not responding / lagging.
In order to do RIS you need to use base with AutoImage... yes
that works great!
As you already know RIS is a server feature...
you will have to choose an alternate host to do RIS without one...
Imageing software such as ghost is affordable and effective. this may be a better solution for you?
Thanks Jeff.
I'm still getting duplicate DriverPacks Finisher exceptions on my nvidia 8800GTS installing PhysX and the reg entries twice. Working on a solution now where the DriverPacks Finisher will delete the installer after install to prevent itself from installing again. Just an annoyance really, no harm done.
you could delete the .ins file in systemroot...
exc_1_command1 = "del /Q /F %SystemRoot%\*.ins"
the tag file will then not be available for any following exceptions and they will fail...
IE add that to each one then only the first one found will run...
( I can be "Sneaky" too )
yes...
- it will save us from haveing to ask you for your version of VB so we could then find and then have to perhaps uninstall our version and then load the same ver on our machine to get it
much easier for you
TIA
The DriverPack Graphics A B & C info pages still list PhysX and Lang files as 8.10, not 8.12.1
Updated
Thanks (again) for reporting sir!
Should I have renamed them 9.01 LOL
a littel over 2 hours for me now
Happy new year everyone... best wishes to everyone
he doesnt have access to testing team thread he is not a donor or a tester
Ohhh i see your point
mass storage sub forum would be a nice place for 'sneaky' people
you did not read a single word i said about the device path key did you...
you can use any length folder names you want with devpath there is no limit...
As YOU stated in the first post: TITLE: Update DevicePath <-- your original topic remember...
"This way you can keep your long descriptive names for your folders"
that means DevPath and makePNF - Not JUST makepnf - BOTH
my patience on the other hand does have limits and your welcome has now expired...
not listening and being argumentative at the same time is not tolerated...
You have shown zero effort on using the search feature or reading the documentation
or even taking the time to read and understand the responses to your post.
or sticking to your original topic for that matter
you have posted info that is not only inaccurate but it is wrong...
even after I have corrected you multiple times.
go find somewhere else to not pay attention, create problems, post bugged tools, ask for support of non supported platforms, and give out inaccurate info and be disrespectful and ignorant in general...
this site is for the support of DriverPacks BASE and the DriverPacks neither of which you use...
therefore you have nothing to offer or share with us, and you don't listen at all.
a 3 day ban is now in effect and this topic is now closed - admin
if a mod would like to trash this thread I pre-approve and encourage the second opinion...
Which one of us celebrates New Years first???
I forgot about those two... rats... ill get it updated!
can you be more clear?
I don't understand what it is you need...
I guess you did not read what i wrote
devpath has no limit! <--- Read this again...
Did you read it this time?... or do i need to beat you some more?
64bit OS's are not supported.
if you open DriverPacks BASE and look at the About page...
schalti is the author of makePNF.exe
Pyron is the author of DevPath.exe
both are members here and at MSFN where DriverPacks got started.
if you look at the DriverPacks you will notice all of our folders have single letter names
and the root folder is D\
this is a leftover from when we used the OemPnPDriversPath entry in winnt.sif/unattended.txt
OemPnPDriversPath has the limit... not the registry location that OemPnPDriversPath is copied to.
therefore bypassing OemPnPDriversPath and populating the registry directly avoids this limit..
--- Re-Read the last paragraph again --- get it into your head correctly...
It seems to me that you are trying to reinvent the wheel...
if you wish to update an existing machine try useing the SAD Feature of base 8.12.1
In case you missed it - X64 is not supported
Graphics packs LAN and DriverPacks BASE have all been officialy released and the changelogs have been updated!
Hooray for teamwork! you guys are the best...
Jeff
Hint after base updates you can then update the packs from the new base!
PS part of the tutorial just became obsolite
