Indeed, I noticed that as well but we still need that driver, what do you suggest ?

I just wish Intel could fix their own mess...

Before XP SP3 driverpack base was applying some MS patches in order to fix some bugs with HD audio and portcls.sys. Those MS patches were included in SP3 so since your source installation has SP3 slipstreamed, no patches are needed.

Don't worry everything is good.

I still have no Internet at my new apartment...i should be able to work on the new mass storage pack this week. I won't let you guys down, I promise!

Updated! v8.2.3.1001

Can you paste the direct link ? So far, I can't find it.

The driver you mentioned is already in 8.06C and the hwid is in B1\b57win32.inf, everything should work fine...

The update was added to the test pack http://forum.driverpacks.net/viewtopic.php?id=2856

Thx for reporting pretzel. Actually I added this one 2 days ago in my test pack. I will upload it asap.

Please try our test pack, it should resolves your issue. http://dev.driverpacks.thesneaky.com/dr … 32_806C.7z

I'm moving in a new apartment in like a week so I won't have time to update it untill a month or so. Jaak you can take care of it if you some free time. I will comeback when I have more time on my hands.

The download link is not working. Can you upload the files to mediafire.com please.

Ok I will look into it, thanks for reporting.

I'm on it Shaz big_smile

I will update the test pack with 5.18A asap.

Sam I'm lost here.

krige and vier reported that the new driver was working fine. The driver your asking for is old too. The one in the pack is 12/20/2007,2.3.7.9, the one in your link is 08/30/2007,2.3.7.4. (2.4.7.4 = vista version number).

So if the last one available from the manufacturer is not fixing the issue, I guess the last version could be problematic with some mobo and same thing for the one before that. Attansic/Atheros must fix their mess.

Have you tried the RIS inf ?

Sometimes RIS drivers are necessary for PE.

Don't worry Dan, here is a generic PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_1019 in e1000325.inf in the latest lan driver pack at least. So this one should work just fine.

You don't want to update the pack but we must do it for you free right ? Help us helping you. And seriously making a whole new pack for one driver takes way much time the updating a working one.

Oh and the entries could simply be different cause the driver version is different. We don't modify drivers, we just combine them in a pack. You don't need to remove the X64 entries since Windows will detect that automatically, plus modifying INF could break the driver signature.

There is already a misc pack with this driver, however it might not be updated. You could update it instead of making a pack for single driver.

Look in MS\1 for the driver.

Try this:

We still appreciate the help you can provide by just reporting and showing us the solutions. I just wish we had more IT guys giving some feedbacks you know. Everyone could benefits.

After some investigations on the official 13.01, I found that the generic HWID (PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_10BD) of your card was duplicated in e1e5132.inf and e1e6032.INF.  They have their respective SYS file as well.

Yeah obviously.
