Good thinking!  Your insight serves you well.

Perhaps disable extra hardware, such as Audio, ports, and all other non-essential hardware to reduce the number of interrupts needed.
Remove any installed PCI/PCIe adapters too, for the same reason.

if they're on-board they may still not release them. the "reset" of the BIOS will re-enumerate the resources big_smile.

I see now how dencorso gauged success in his post.  It installed OK.  That doesn't necessarily mean that it didn't have the same (Code 10) problem.

Unfortunately, it would seem that there is little hope that this driver can be made to work for that hardware then.

There are some possibilities that remain.
   1.  One would be that there might be some registry entries missing, or other differences between the NT5 driver and that for Win7/8.x
   2.  Another could be that somewhere in the files that these drivers are referencing are tied to specific HardwareID's (HWID's).
   3.  It is also possible that there are distinct hardware differences between the officially supported Haswell Graphics Adapters and the ones included in my modified .Inf file.  Perhaps a newer stepping or revision?

It is most likely that only possibility 1 can be implemented in these driver packs, as possibility 2 would likely violate Intel's Terms in the license.  Possibility 3 would make any mod next to impossible, other than for Intel themselves.  Also, we don't use modified executables as a matter of firmly established policy.  Only modified .Inf files are permitted for inclusion in the DriverPacks.

erkange, please post a link to the post above over at MSFN for their usage.

I will update the test pack later to include the experimental 5445 version.
It must be removed from the DP_Graphics_B package, even though the other HWID's included in the mod have not yet been tested as far as i know.  5449 will be a little tricky to add yet not impossible, as it is not WHQL'ed & shares HWID's with Gen3.

If or when you have some spare time, i would be grateful if you would agree to test our AHCI driver mod for that chipset.
Anybody that contributes to solutions will be credited in changelogs.

Did the HD Audio mod also install with a (Code 10)?

Audio devices works well. I did not try to move auido through HDMI but i tested with headset. It works. No problem at device manager also.

I can try ACHI driver. But how?

Re: [Nightlies] DP_Graphics_A,B,C,D,USB_wnt5_x86-32_1306-1501 - Public

Tested here on a HDAUDIO\FUNC_01&VEN_8086&DEV_2807&SUBSYS_80860101&REV_1000.

The driver seems to be wrong for the hardware, since it is installed ok, no exclamation point on device manager, but no audio over HDMI for XP. http://i.imgur.com/K0Psa.gif

This is a highly wanted driver, since it is Intel 4th generation and it is becoming more and more popular.

Device is reported by AIDA64 as Intel Lynx Point HDMI @ Intel Haswell - Mini HD Audio Controller    PCI.

Every other driver works perfectly with this platform on XP, and really fast, with no issues http://i.imgur.com/5h0qs.gif

Any help on this would be greatly appreciated! http://i.imgur.com/jg2t4.gif

Re: [Nightlies] DP_Graphics_A,B,C,D,USB_wnt5_x86-32_1306-1501 - Public

It is going to be inevitable that providers will drop support for XP in their drivers. How many drivers today include support for win98?

Haswell is NT6 platform oriented hardware, run Win7 on it. IF you are really really tied to software that is locked to winXP then Run Win7 with XPmode. It's specifically for that reason.

If a driver supports an OS then we gleefully add it.
We can't put square pegs in round holes, find the round peg and it's all good.

we had a heck of a time with HDAudio until MS came out with the KB888111 (i think that was the number)  HDAudio  patch. there won't be any new patches so... we will have to see what develops.

Re: [Nightlies] DP_Graphics_A,B,C,D,USB_wnt5_x86-32_1306-1501 - Public

The missing link may be the HDCP key.
Perhaps Intel has not licensed it for that particular hardware?
If so, that would negate any possibility of any included modded driver.

Updated nVidia driver from v340.52 release (non-WHQL)
Ignore the list of devices supported on the web site.  This supports most devices from the old 8000-series (one new 8xxx series HWID!!!) up to and including HWID's for the newest 800(M)-series, including Quadra, etc.  Check included ListDevices.txt.  Extra files from older 2014 releases, such as nvcuvenc32.dll and nViewProfiles_fromMarch.7z are included in /D/G/N/1/xtras_DP/ for experimental purposes only and are not automatically installed.

Include ATi Runtimes pack for Catalyst Control Panel installation.  ATi Hydravision pack is also optional.

If Graphics_A/B/C are not integrated,  ATICCC.ins may need be manually added to ..\OEM folder.
If SAD3 is used for installation, add ATICCC.ins to root folder {example:  C:\}.

Yes you can remove or disable them. Why do you want this?

You can disable them by editing the DriverPacks ini file for the corresponding folder
obviously from DriverPacks BASE this is an option.
this is also a finisher option.

Removing them... well sure you can, your results are not guaranteed to be stable. If you do remove them please also disable/remove them in the pack's ini file. HOW TO edit packs is discussed at length in the FAQ section of the forum. full detail is exposed in the mass storage section; which is, by far, the most difficult to understand and manipulate. All of the packs follow the same conventions but mass storage uses all of the options, some packs use none, graphics is the second hardest.

Techdud, since he is a clever guy, figured out how to move control panel items to 3rd party DriverPack - Impressive big_smile.

no these drivers have already been moved from the main packs to 3rd party DriverPack.

they are already removed... (don't use the 3rd party DriverPack, or only use it)

you are welcome to customize them to your tastes but the work has already been done.
