Cleaned up Pack
Drivers are dism compatible.

Re: [Beta} Chipset x64

Is this the latest BETA Chipset Pack? I am wondering where to start working on updates to the pack. I am also wondering how many people have used or tested this pack and if anyone has any feedback.

Re: [Beta} Chipset x64

This is the latest that I have released. I think I did one set after this but never released it.
150 downloads, no feedback.

Re: [Beta} Chipset x64

@Bigfoot

After all your work I'm sorry to hear that... I am trying to get up to date and I am going to put some tests together for a Latitude 5520 and 5530 tomorrow... not sure if I will use this for them

I am also making an image for some Vostro laptops and this may work perfectly... I will test this as is but I will provide some feedback

Re: [Beta} Chipset x64

The packs work fine with dism. I have personally tested them and they integrate fine. I have tried it on a few dells, but not the ones you mention. I no longer have daily access to PC's to test on.
I do have a WDS deployment due in two months so I will need to get an updated x64 pack ready for that deployment.
Any external feedback would be appreciated.

Welcome to my world, it feels worse when it's thousands of DL's.
I have come to realize that no feedback = working perfect.
People will definitely show up to bitch if it's broke big_smile.

Sounds like you nailed it Bigfoot

Re: [Beta} Chipset x64

I do not know  this, so I have to ask.
Do I add  C_x64.7z to I:\Win_7\SAD2\NT6\x64 ?
Or do I have to alter the name to DP_Chipset_wnt6-x64_1212.7z ?

Re: [Beta} Chipset x64

You have to rename the file.  bigfoot didn't name the files in the standard format.  SAD will only use DriverPacks which are named "DP_***.7z"

Thank you!

Re: [Beta} Chipset x64

Thank you for this update, the Intel USB 3.0 driver was especially useful to me.

Since you published this pack, Intel has released new USB 3.0 drivers for the 8 series chipset (DEV_8C31), version 3.x, which isn't backwards compatible with the 7 series hardware. So I've tried simply adding the new driver in Win7/USB/Intel/3, and now, while my machines with the 8 series chipset work fine including USB 3.0, the 7 series systems don't boot *at all* anymore (status 0xc000000f) after integration with pnputil -a / sysprep.

What do you think would be needed to successfully integrate this new USB 3.0 driver?
