that you quite update the base to 6.10 shows me that there was a bug inside, because i tried to install wit hthis base and  woooom nearling all things goes right only one thing left over..

after installing erverything , and when desktop comes up there was showed a  dektop.ini file with the editor , and this file wa slocated in the startupgroup , but who put this into it ?

This is the changelog of DriverPack Sound B 6.10:

Bugfix release.

- 0000266: [DriverPacks Finisher] Critical error: "Could not delete element from array" (BashratTheSneaky)
- 0000264: [translations] Portuguese (Brazil) translation added (gugutz)
- 0000263: [slipstreamer] when using method 1, a faulty directory structure is created (BashratTheSneaky)

Do you see any references to nLite or autologin? I don't think so. These really are the only changes, so please do not accuse me of 'quietly updating the software shows that you were not admitting a bug but nevertheless fixing it'. That's really not true.

I'm glad it's solved for you, but I really do not know then what caused this problem for you, if this update solves the problem.

And I don't have the slightest idea what that desktop.ini issue is, but one of the testers reported this too during the 6.09 testing phase. But that was only him. I don't have the slightest clue what could cause this.

First, you know by your self , that often microsoft things works again without visible references...

i use for the test the same testenviroment and same xphome nlited base.

so with 6.09 base it dosen´t work
with 6.10 it works..

have you any idea where i can put a script which delete the desktop.in file in the startupfolder during startup from windows ?

Anyway, it does not happen for me anymore, it seems.
(jtdoom is still getting it, I guess...)
Same settings basically (just updated nLite and BASE).
Random quirk at best...

did you use also xp home ? i have still the problem with this desktop.ini , also with 6.10

Nope, Pro here.
Though I will be using Home in a week or two on my cousin's PC.

i have still the problem with this desktop.ini , also with 6.10

I never found out what it was due to.
It certainly wasn't caused by anything on my side, as it happened when I created a CD with everything the same as on the previous one, just a newer BASE version.

It was just in order to help you with tracking the exact cause. I cannot predict what's going wrong, especially because so far you are the only one with this issue. You need to narrow it down.

I'm sorry but I hope you can understand that at this point there really isn't much I can do.
