Bluetooth with Enhanced Data Rate Software 5.5.0.5800 for Lenovo / IBM ThinkPad has been updated
Got a new batch of Panasonic ToughBook CF-30 mk2 laptops and these are now using a Toshiba Bluetooth chip. This DP worked just about as perfect as I could have ever hoped for. Man I really wish that all Dell laptops used Toshiba for their Bluetooth as well.
Any chance this could be repacked into the the other pack listed in the sticky thread or is this a dumb question?
EDIT - Sorry just checked the version numbers, I'm having one of those days!!!!

I have a buf in fist logon, when installation of widdcom bluetooth utility start, it'say that i don't haveadmisitrator right (but i am administrator)
Can anyone update Toshiba bluetooth driver in the pack? Version 6.40.02 is out.

If a USB Bluetooth device is connected using this pack it will install the toshiba drivers instead of the default ones which work
The ThinkPad Bluetooth drivers (Broadcom based) do not install. The installer comes up saying failed to install. Same as SamLab's post above.

I am having a problem with a Dell a860 installing the Blue Tooth using the 910 pack. I looked at the pack to try and update the driver but I really don't understand this pack so I couldn't.
Here are all the logs, HWID's etc including HWID's before and after installing the driver from Dell(Toshiba):

Here is the link to the actual driver:

Bluetooth with Enhanced Data Rate Software 5.5.0.7900 for Lenovo / IBM ThinkPad has been updated
This Third Party DriverPack looks pretty damn good. I'll see about updating it anyway.
Well I updated it all, and added the Dell drivers Compstuff requested. But ALL the Dell HWIDs are duplicated by the updated \T\ drivers. So I'm not sure how effective they'll be.
Whatever, we can remove the \BT\D\ folder at a future date if they don't work.

You're unbelievable bro!!! It's amazing how much you give to this!!! THANKS!!!
I will try this tomorrow...
@compstuff, have you had a chance to test the added bluetooth Dell drivers? Did they work or can we remove them?

It IS AMAZING . mr_s is the heart of this team... We'd be dead without him!
I just don't have words to show my personal appreciation.
Jeff
I will know tomorrow... they gave me a hard time getting the a860 back to work on but I just got it in my hands and I am starting the install now...

Damn it!!!! They didn't work... I am not physically there but I had one of my guys report this back this morning. I will have them send the logs to me.

Can you try changing this line for both [D] and [T] sections.
exc_1_tagFile2 = "%WINDIR%\System32\DRIVERS\tosrfusb.sys"
to this line
exc_1_tagFile2 = "%WINDIR%\System32\DRIVERS\tos*.sys"
I also found a bug in the [T] section. It might have affected your install (might not).
Change
exc_2_+infFile2= "%DPSROOT%\D\3\BT\T\tosrfec.inf"
to
exc_2_+infFile1= "%DPSROOT%\D\3\BT\T\tosrfec.inf"
I will get on it now and see if I can get one of my guys to start an install before they leave...
1005b1 doesn`t work for me on sony sz3, sony sz650, toshiba...
ihad some strange error. Error window every time i boot the system. The original driver also could not be installed. The one integrated could not be uninstalled from device management.
i`ve rolled back to 9.10. everything works great now
check the DPsFnshr.log. Was it trying to install from the D\3\BT\D\ section?
Moved from testing thread:
I made the changes you referenced here: http://forum.driverpacks.net/viewtopic. … 651#p38651
I did the install 2x to check what was going on because it was rather odd. During the install I get two failure messages regarding the blue tooth install... so I ignore them to proceed. Then during the finisher the bluetooth starts to install but gets caught in an endless loop asking me to hit FN+F11 or turn the radio switch on. I tried the FN (no switch) but it never worked so I eventually hit cancel and then finished the install and rebooted.
After the system comes up the Bluetooth and wireless is working and their are no setup or device manager errors.
After doing some reading on this issue their seems to be some problems with other dell systems when downgrading their Bluetooth modules to XP. They recommended running this before installing the software/driver because the Bluetooth is actually OFF hence the problem http://ftp.us.dell.com/network/R159805.EXE which extracts Btw_on.exe

Let me know your thoughts
Installed Optiplex 160L, Optiplex GX520 and IBM ThinkCentre Lenovo with NO PROBLEMS
Ack! It's trying to install both bt\d\ and bt\t\
2010-06-02 16:52:34 : <EXEC> Executing all commands (1) for exception [D].
2010-06-02 16:52:34 : <EXEC> Executing command 1 of 1: "%DPSROOT%\D\3\BT\D\BT60111.exe"
2010-06-02 16:59:39 : <EXEC> Executing all commands (1) for exception [T].
2010-06-02 16:59:39 : <EXEC> Executing command 1 of 1: "%DPSROOT%\D\3\BT\T\BT71012.exe"
I'll have to work on that.
\T\ is both newer and encompasses more HWIDs than the older Dell driver \D\. Have you tried deleting the entire \BT\D\ folder and trying it that way?
If \T\ doesn't work at all, then \D\ will have to stay, but it was a quick and dirty test that needs more refinement. I'd really prefer NOT to have the Dell drivers in there since they're duplicated by the much newer \T\ section.
Does the Btw_on.exe have any switches? Or is it switchless?
Can you check the version of the installed driver? Was it 04/08/2010,6.0.2808.0 or 06/27/2008,6.0.627.0
The Toshiba BlueTooth Stack is the same for all hardware, but they have added a licence file which is set per manufacture. Therefore the BT71012 will work on Dell, but will only have a 30Day license.
The original BT61010 I created did not have the hardware license, and was the last version Toshiba released before they locked it down.
Broadcom (WIDCOMM) do the same, so the one in BT driverpack is licensed to IBM machines only, and does not have a trial period.
Hope this helps.
