Just got some new Lenovos and at least one is having random BSODs. Minidump suggests the culprit is the Intel SATA driver... I will be testing if the updated driver fixes it later today.

Which raises a question: Is there a DriverPack containing this newer driver?

As I've said in my release comments post I'll test these new packs out on the newer Dell Optiplex 780s in the next few days and report back.

Aside from that I'd just like to say a big *THANKS* to Bâshrat the Sneaky, Woody22, Overflow and all the other contributors who keep this big, Driverpacks machine rolling as the new Mass Storage pack works like a dream!

I finally found the time to do a new unattended disk and the Driverpacks side of it went off without a hitch so cheers again.

We have a testing team, two packs teams, a Main team, a Code team, Etc... and many hidden forums...

Not all Beta / Alpha DriverPacks become releases (we refer to our test DriverPacks as "nightlies").
Many or most of our packs go through hundreds of changes over several months...
Only after a Nightly DriverPack has passed through rigorous testing by several dozen team members and perhaps hundreds or thousands of machines with no reported issues will it become a release. Most nightlies are never released. We only release proven to be stable and working DriverPacks, most packs never pass muster, and are not released

You can't just dump a bunch of drivers into an archive and post it on the web, at least not if you want the drivers to install properly. Adding Drivers to a Pack is a tedious and very time consuming process, and no pack is harder to update properly than Mass Storage .

Since Mulgie is a Donor he automatically gains testing team access... There is Much that goes on behind the scenes that is not visible to regular members, as a matter of fact most of our posts are in the hidden team forums. So I pointed Mulgie to that pack knowing he also has access to the thread in the team forum that corresponds to it... So I could get some feedback .

Short answer... Mass storage is not ready for release yet, and that update is not important to what we are working on with DriverPack MassStorage ATM .

mulgie reported that the latest packs fixed his issue...
- If you use the latest nightly mass storage pack then you MUST also use the nightly version of DriverPacks BASE with it.
- - you will notice the 10.x link I posted is to the nighly packs location
    - those packs are intentionaly not linked from the home page or out in the open.
      They are always embeded in code tags or URL tags,
      While the nightlies are not a secret they are not for everyone,
      they may (probably) have issues and we prefer that only advance users who are capable at trouble shooting use them.

can you tell us if the new chipset pack fixes yours too?

If not please see 'read before you post' linked in my signature and provide the required minimum details.
If you hurry I am between DriverPacks BASE updates and have a little time to fool with mass storage (a rare opportunity).

PS These users are reporting a 6b chipset error... which has been reported above as fixed with the new chipset pack.

You seem to be reporting a 7b or related error which is mass storage, these are not the same thing at all... If I followed you correctly.
(Silly mulgie put a chipset issue in the wrong forum )

PSS I noticed in your other post that you are using SAD M1 on a network share.
Please only use M2 on network shares, otherwise chipset and network drivers will fail.
(sucks when you get disconnected from the network in the middle of updateing your network driver, and the rest of the driver which is on the network is no longer accessble. M2 makes a temporary local copy )
