Bump! It's nice to see others having the same problem as me! For a while I thought I was alone on this till I found this forum!
Hi guys, total newb here to driverpacks and slipstreamed windows installs... So bare with me... My friend gave me a slipstreamed disc he made, it's entitled the "eXPirence" edition... It has the driverpacks from here in it.
I have a 3112r raid control controlling two identical SATA discs running in RAID1 Mirrored. The raid controller is an offboard PCI card. I actually have two different cards with the same 3112r chipset... I've had the same issue with both of them. Using this DVD to install windows on this array causes two issues which match identically with the problems mentioned here...
1. When windows brings up my drive list, I see both of my drives as separate partitions, instead of just one - like it's recognizing the array discs uniquely instead of as one mirrored array.
2. When windows is done copying files to the drive and performs it's first reboot, I get the 0x7B BSOD.
Doing F6 with this distrib on initial setup, seems to be ignored. It still uses the driver on the DVD instead. I can use my floppy with the latest (I think it's .56) driver using other windows distribs and it works ok.
Here are my hardware ID's. I created a temporary install of windows to run the hardware ID tool hoping maybe it will help others out...

What I'm curious on mainly, is what do I have to do with this install, in order to replace the drivers on the CD, with either a newer driverpack, OR - the ones I got from SiL aka my F6 floppy? I've seen reference to replacing the sil3112r.sy_ file with the .sys file I have from my floppy and reburning the DVD... is it that simple ? Do I simply just delete the existing .sy_ file, and then copy in the .sys file to replace it off my floppy? Does it need to be a cab compresed, or renamed as .sy_, or anything like that? AS I mentioned this is all a little over my head... Am I better off just getting a newer driverpack and if so... how do I add it to this distrib I already have?
Thanks in advance everyone!
