Topic: [CLSD] Graphics BETA DriverPacks are here...for TESTING purposes only!

This will be a running thread that will carry the latest BETA or "Release-Candidate" graphics DriverPacks.  These are works in progress, and not intended for widespread deployment in workstation or critical environments.
If you feel adventureous, please do us a favor and run a few tests on your hardware and report back the results.  Please read this post before posting.
Do NOT request new ATI/Nvidia releases.  Believe me, I know when they're ready!

BTW, before anyone else posts about it, I'm well aware of the ATI/Nvidia releases.  No need to ask for them. smile
I'm looking at the ATI hotfix posted here.
And I'm looking at the new dedicated Nvidia notebook drivers here.

Nice work on all the new driverpacks.  For the 4 nVidia Quadro Cards we have all the drivers work flawlessly, as do all the Intel integrated graphics controllers I've tested on so far.  I did run into the same problem that I had a few months ago with the DriverPacks C pack.   Here is the previous post.  http://forum.driverpacks.net/viewtopic.php?id=3223  Basically again because the driver signing is broken in the N4 folder by default Windows XP uses the driver that Windows XP has natively instead of the newer one in the N4 folder.  Just like before if I rename the nv4_dispinf.bak and re-package the driverpack it works fine for me.  Thanks to everyone involved with these driverpacks.  Oh, also I'm using DP_Graphics_C_wnt5_x86-32_8121.7z

Nevermind, I guess I'm just bad at reading.  I see you broke driver signing on purpose to avoid the hwid overlap.  I guess until I run into a problem with using the original inf I'll just leave it this way for myself....

@eethball, I'll look into this more in the new year.  For now though, you'll have to build your dp yourself.  My next DriverPacks will be in 2009.

I used GA on my buddy's computer last night. NVidia GTS250 was recognized by Windows (wasn't "unknown device"), but the drivers were insufficiently installed. We were in a hurry, so I didn't look into what exactly happened, but I will say that I wasn't capped at 800x600 resolution, but it wouldn't go up to the maximum resolution supported. None of the proprietary NVidia software installed. I just went to the NVidia website, downloaded the latest stuff, and it worked fine.

On a side note, where do I put the PhysX pack? Does that go in DriverPacks folder, or does it go in the 3rd Party folder?
